We need to follow rules and guidelines so we can keep the race organized and fun. Please, especially the participants in the race, read and follow accordingly all these rules and guidelines posted bellow. I know it's a lot, but it's there for a reason.
Race Rules and Guidelines
The race isn't about who can post more, it's all about being a good role player. A good role player tries his/her best to have good grammar, to be nice and tidy in his/her posts and to entertain other players or readers.
Roll CallAt the beginning of each race there will be a roll call. Once you see the post
Roll Call all you have to post is
here! This is when you have to start posting in your assigned color.
Posting in the assigned colorWhen participating in the race it would be easier for me to give out the points if you remember to post in your assigned color. The assigned color is posted right beside your collar and number in post number 3.
How to post in the assigned colorWhen you finished writing down your post, checking it twice for any errors, and you are pretty content with it, select it all. You can right click it and hit select all, or holding down ctrl hit A. Once all the text is selected use the color chooser, hit your assigned color. If your color isn't in the list just edit it to say your assigned color. Hit preview just to make sure you got it right, you might have written your color wrong.
When to start Role PlayingAfter
GO! is posted in big bold letters you start role playing for the race. You should post in your assigned colors and wait your turn to post.
Wait your turnTurns were assigned to make sure everyone participated and it made it easier for us to judge each post and give out the points. If someone couldn't make it to the race he/she will obviously be skipped to the next person.
It's CheatingEditing your post after posting it is considered cheating. That's why when posting you should take your time and double check it.
The Binoculars After the GO! is posted role play how your pet advances. After your turn you have to wait for your post to be judged. After all points are given out the binoculars will be posted [
a image of the race]. It will help you see what your pet will be expecting in the race [
what you should role play in the next turn]. The binoculars will help the role play move along.
Please do not post anything while the judges give out their points.
Good GrammarWe are humans and we make mistakes, that is understandable. But more than three mistakes is minus 1 point. Every three mistakes found after that is another minus 1, and so on. Remember to double check each post you make.
Being Nice & TidyDifferent people have different ways of role playing. I prefer what I call the '
book narrator' way. Bellow is a example:

Usually when I role play and my character is thinking I use these '
text here' and whatever is inside I use italic on it. Whenever I talk out loud to myself or someone else I use these "
text here" and bold it.
Finishing LineThe moment you see it in the binoculars means that it will be your last turn. After everyone has posted I will post FINISH in big bold letters. You can continue role playing regularly [
without having to use your assigned color] as the judges give out the final points and sum up the winner.

Now that the rhyming has finally stopped we have a race to begin. First let me welcome you all, and thank you for being here today. The First Bamboo Babies Pet Race will be divided into three courses. A different course each day. I will leave you with my pet and dear friend Addie.
