Alright, seeing as how a singular global government, in its massive scale, would be too large to effectively legislate on the local level, what would comprise the local sectors of government?

redroosters Alright, seeing as how a singular global government, in its massive scale, would be too large to effectively legislate on the local level, what would comprise the local sectors of government? (To BlackroseDarkness) He's talking about maintaining the government. Even though we may end up with hundreds or even thousands of members later on, it will still be really difficult to manage all the affairs of each nation as a singular government. When he means local government he means that there must be some localized partition governments taking care to influence and organize local law. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to actually control the whole world in its entirety. (To redroosters) At the moment there are two main ideas I am considering for how the government could be. The answer differs depending on which one. 1. A Global government that is more open about their ideals and purpose. 2. An illuminati-like group that operates behind the scenes. For the first, my idea was that we would construct a building for our members in every country. (Possibly more for bigger nations) We would station a number of our more politically experienced members there, and they would then attempt to get into a political office(With our help, of course) and recruit more members. (because they will try to get a position of influence in the nations government, we would prefer having those that are already citizens the most so that they wouldn't have trouble with that) For the second, it would be similar with some changes. We would not make buildings and we would not openly advertise ourselves. Instead we would gather a large following behind the scenes and gather a mass of influential members, help some of our members get positions of power, and buy out businesses, all behind the scenes. To govern locally, we would simply have the members that are in high political positions to change or influence their laws accordingly. Any feedback would be appreciated. smile

If you 'openly advertise' that you're trying to take over the world, you're going to ignite HUGE resistance. Both political and popular. Look at all the people already paranoid about world government. Half the Christians will brand you as the anti-Christ, and twenty different crazies will bomb your 'embassies' or try to assassinate high level members every week.
Besides, nations wouldn't let you exist with the stated goal of dominating the world. That is a direct threat to their legal sovereignty, and they would all defend it.
Now, if you talk about establishing a base in each country which would covertly support political candidates, you have two problems: one, a lot of nations would figure out what you were very quickly and cry treason (don't underestimate intelligence agencies like the CIA), and two, even if you did put some people in office, it would be difficult to control them once they were there.
Sorry to be the prophet of doom, but I'm just trying to be realistic. Remember that all of this doesn't mean you couldn't eventually rule the world overtly, but getting there is best done as quietly as possible, so as to arouse as little resistance as possible. Don't advertise that you're planning to steal the crown jewels, in other words.

Don't advertise that you're planning to steal the crown jewels, in other words. Never apologize. This is what we all need to hear. There are some people who just give up on their goals after they find out that it's going to be a lot harder then they though. I'm not that kind of person, in fact I love challenges. Also, you do put up a good point, and I never really planned on being any more open then I have already been. The buildings aren't going to be advertised as part our group and I would probably only put them in nations we are already in control of.
