I have both games and I love the spattering of zombie brains in the morning, noon and night. Although I must say that I am miffed at the people who still play the first one because whenever I join a game they boot me as soon as I get on. Doesn't happen on the second one, just the first. no explanation or anything, P----- me off!

Anyway, Who is your fav character of the two games? (human or infected)

Well, I have yet to play the sequel, but I loved the first one. And it's cool that they still support the original with DLC even though the second one is out. But since I'm not online with my 360 anymore, I haven't gotten to play the new content.

It pisses me off that SPOILER Bill died

I wanna play the DLC of the second one where the two groups run into each other. Anyway, Bill is probably my fave. But I usually played as Francis.

Second one is definitely a lot more fun. The witch and the hunter and Ellis are my favorite characters but boomers just crack me the hell up. I don't know why but they greatly amuse me and they're fun to play as too. don't know about the first one but in the second one when you play online against people you can play as the infected.

What spoiler? The DLC?

and yes you can play as infected in the first one. I never got a chance because of the boot-heads. (I seriously hate those guys!) But for the few seconds I played, I was a hunter and a smoker...Kinda gave up after the 12th time...

Isn't that the DLC? I wanna try it. I just picked up Left 4 Dead 2 for $20. So I think I'm gonna have to reactivate my Xbox Live subscription for a wee bit just to download that, and a few other things. Like the Dead Rising 2 prologue. And thanks for that link, by the way. That was an entertaining read.

I got the PC version back when it was on sale. Of Left4Dead 2 I mean....

I...still bought it for Xbox anyways for the first one...I don't know why.... ninja

Yeah, if I had a gaming PC, I'd definitely get them on there as opposed to the Xbox version, simply because you don't have to pay to play online and I think the DLC is free.

On the other hand, you can't play two-player on PC. Left 4 Dead is an outstanding two-player game and I only really bust it out when my bud comes over. We have a few beers and blast through it together. That's the definitive way to play it if you ask me.

Is the DLC worth it? I really loved L4D2 but as other games came out I found myself putting it down. I've forgotten about all the DLC.

It's pretty groovy. I didn't make it all the way through though...and I still need to try it out on L4D2.

In hindsight I'm really not sure why I bought the L4D 1 version....

Yeah, I'm pissed. I bought The Sacrafice DLC for both L4D1 & L4D2 last night. The description and the file size led to a slight misunderstanding. Had I known that the L4D1 DLC was essentially the same, I wouldn't have wasted my money! Gah!

But yeah, the description says play as the cast of L4D1 in L4D2 in two new scenarios. Well, in reality, it's the same DLC for L4D1 along with another campaign level straight from L4D1 with the new melee weapons and crap.

Anyway, thoughts on Left 4 Dead 2 so far... the characters are nowhere near as endearing as the original cast. The melee weapons are kinda cool I guess. And some of the new infected are a real pain in the d**k. The Passing DLC is pretty cool, though. And I totally dig Bill's funeral song.

I think Left4Dead 2 has better dialogue and humor but I do agree that the original cast were alot cooler. The new special infected are a huge pain but Versus mode is a blast because of them. You'll rarely see the end of a map in versus mode while playing as survivors as a result, though....

Yeah, I have yet to try versus mode. As far as the dialogue, I haven't played too much through it yet, so I can't give a concrete opinion on the matter yet, but so far I think the original had better dialogue.

I dunno man, the L4D2 crew have some of the best rants and comments on the levels ever. "Cheeseburger Apocalypse" and "mah friend Keith" are a permanent part of my vocabulary now.

Well, I have yet to see that. I still haven't played it enough. But I don't know if anything is going to beat Zoey's "zombie bullshit" rant. xD
