from 2 years to now
i've seen the stages
I've stepped up some how,
i thought it would be better
to see myself leave you alone
i thought i'd be gone forever
but it sucks to be on your own
at first i thought you didn't like me
didnt want me in your life
then i realized it wasn't that at all
i had kicked you out
but now i want you back in
my life is empty without friends
and even more empty without love
tonight i had found the key to a happy life
and knew there was a way to survive
It wasn't that you were silent
or that you didnt pay attention to me
i gave up when i shouldn't have
please just won't you see?
i found what i was looking for
in everyone
because it is so precious so pure
what was i thinking in my mind?
in all my sadness
i wanted the world to be kind
I am proud of my deafness
because i am no longer blind
being nice is now the next several pages
of my soul you will see in my eyes
and that is a lot better than many bandages
and i will always keep going
no matter where my heart flies
