By the time the twins arrived at the classroom, most of the seats had been taken. Nast had gotten there a bit earlier, and was sitting next to some rather giggly girls. Why am I not surprised...
The twins had never liked sitting together, since it seemed to always cause a disruption in the class, and went to take the only two available seats. Xellos found on in the third row, while Sherra took the empty one next to a dark haired boy in the corner. He looked somewhat familiar -probably from one of her past classes- but for some reason, she couldn't think of his name. It probably wasn't that important anyway.
She pulled out a notebook and a few other things for her next class. Homeroom never lasted very long. It was more for announcements and what not. Some of the other students were already glancing her way, but she made no eye contact with any of them. She honestly didn't care about what they thought by this point. Sure, the power it gave her was always fun; it was the percautions she had to take. For example, just saying hello to the guy next to her could a giant mess of chaos and drama that she didn't want to deal with right now.

Sherra scowled deeply, watching as the boy left before fumbling with her bag. Talk about rude. And she would be stuck in at least another three classes with him. Maybe it was better that she didn't know who he was; she probably wouldn't like him anyway. Huffing quietly, she grabbed her things and went out into the hall to wait for Xellos and Nast.

"What's wrong, Sherra? Was that guy bothering you?" Nast asked cheerfully, wrapping his an arm around her waist as they hurried off to their next class. "Should I teach him a lesson?"

The dark haired girl scowled at him, immediately trying to get out of his grasp. It was things like this that made everyone think they were a couple. She didn't understand how he got amusement out of this. But then again, one had to be insane to understand how his mind worked. "Don't bother; it's no big deal." she said bluntly.

"Later shortie."

She was going to have to confront him about that. It was obvious that he had a problem with her, and she couldn't figure out why. Good thing she had three classes to find that out.

Sherra made sure to arrive earlier this time, so she wouldn't end up having to sit near that boy again. It would be rather difficult to interrogate him in the middle of class, unless they were thrown into a group project of some kind.

Nast thankfully didn't sit next to her; he'd learned by now to follow the group's strict code. Naturally, Sherra was the one that had decided on it.

She went to one of the empty tables and sat down, copying down the notes on the blackboard into her notebook, like most of the other students. After she'd finished, she watched as the rest of the class filed in, noting how all the seats were slowly being filled. Damn. Then she saw the same boy come into the room. Damn! Just her luck. Now she would have to start something. Why couldn't she ever have a normal class period? She scanned the room, noticing that there were no other seats. Everyone had to come early for once. Why couldn't they all be procrastinators like last year??

"Do you have a problem with me or something?" she asked him quietly. There were still a few minutes before the class officially began, and she wanted to get this over with. He was probably going to run off as soon as the bell rang like before. Not talking to her was something she could handle. But pointing out that she wasn't a giant like him? She didn't really see the point. Other than the guy didn't like her for some stupid reason. It probably wasn't that good of a reason either, considering this was the first time she'd ever spoken to him.

As she looked at the boy out of the corner of her eye, she saw Nast turn his head, snickering. Her temper flared a little, and she made a mental note to yell at him later. Out of everyone, he annoyed her the most. And yet, for some reason, she still hung out with him everyday.

Xellos wasn't paying any attention to them and was instead working on some of the problems that he was sure they were going to cover that day. Sherra was breaking one of their rules by talking to that boy. But he'd basically done the same thing by helping that freshmen earlier. He still wasn't sure why had had bothered with that; it couldn't have been to make a good impression like he'd dismissed it as. She had actually reminded him of someone he'd used to know. But he hadn't seen her for many years.

"Would you please stop calling me that? My name's Sherra. Not shortie." she said, trying to keep her tone calm. He'd given the same lame excuse she'd been expecting. It was still an annoying one none the less. "And disliking someone for being liked by others is a rather pathetic excuse. It makes you seem like you're jealous." she added.

She could feel a few pairs of eyes on her occasionally, and kept her gaze on her paper. She honestly didn't care anymore. Those crazy fans were just going to have to accept the fact that she was going to talk to people. Especially those that dared to insult her. If they could handle Nast putting his pervy little hands on her, then they could handle her having a social life.

"Maybe because no one here seems to talk to you...?" she said quietly, taking her sea green eyes off the paper and meeting his gaze. "I've seen you around campus, over the years, and you were always alone." She could remember feeling bad for him during all those times, and wondering if he was really all by himself, or if he was just waiting for someone. He was usually gone when she looked up again, so she'd always assumed the latter.

"Maybe you'd wanted people to like you at one point, and the fact that Xel and I got what you couldn't so easily made you angry and jealous of us." the dark haired girl smirked slightly to herself after that. "But then...what do I know...? I'm just some spoiled popular girl that only thinks of herself, right?"

She was probably far from the truth, but he had asked for her opinion. And from that was the only logical explanation she could think of.

Sherra looked at the boy silently for a moment, before going back to her work as well. He hadn't flat out denied her assumptions, which could only have meant that she had been basically correct. Though she wasn't happy about it. And normally the girl enjoyed being right. She would revel in the fact. But not this time.

She couldn't help but smile slightly when he called her 'shortie' again. At least he still wanted to talk to her. And it made her a bit happy to know that he didn't see her the way many of the other students did.

"If you don't like it...then maybe you should try starting the conversations. People won't always go out of their way to talk to you, so sometimes you need to make an effort and talk to them..." she said quietly. If you just sat around waiting for someone to come to you, then you'd never get anywhere.
