Day 2700 from the beginning
Year: Does not apply
Month: Does not matter anymore
Season: Does not make a difference

I have transcended to another plane in search for Xard. I have felt his presense here. I believe his evil still lurks within this world somewhere, but how long he will dwell in this place is unknown as of right now. Everywhere he goes is for a reason; it is all to gain more power for a purpose that is still a mystery to me. What is here must be found by me first before him.

How to go about this will be decided upon my observations within this plane of existance. This world has left me weaker than the last in terms of combat powers. I have noticed that my equipment has changed once again in order to fit with the times. I have been dawned in studded leather armor, a hooded cloak lined with a few pockets, and cotton underclothes. The boots I wore last have become plated with metal. They are a bit heavy, but they will prove useful in certain situations. I'm also down to Harbringer, my great great grandfather's sword. Azura, the blade given to me by Edge, has vanished as well as the envoker, Promethius.

It seems that this word only allows a maximum of two weapons on a person for unknown reasons. I am positive that they will return once I traverse to another plane. Until then I must make due with what I am aloud to possess. On a side note: my standard equipment and currency has also changed to fit the times here. My bag has become leather with an assortment of items that will help me survive here in exchange for the equipment I used prior.

I plan to explore my surroundings first before I make any movement into the fray. I hope my presense remains anonymous here; however, I know that hope is a waste for that has yet to happen during any of my travels.

Day 2700
Year: Who cares?
Month: Still Don't know
Season: Perhaps spring or summer

I managed to infiltrate a castle with the help of a full plate armor wearing knight named Theoran. He merely snuck in behind him. Inside I found a collection of royalty that were lost in world where they belong. From what I was able to deduce after spending some time with them-it was not enjoyable-was each royal there was placed there by their kingdoms to protect them. A war has broken out in a plane, from my understanding, outside the one I'm in. I say the outside because the inside is not so.

A murder of a royal has happened. There were no witnesses. Many believe it to be the deed of another pompous p***k. Whomever is in charge here does not seem to care for his or her guests.

From the hall I have found a few people of interest. All of whom, aside from Princess Naedira of Humility, distrust me due to may ways and appearance. This was to be expected and accepted. The people that have decided to "mark" me are the following: Knight Apollo, Knight Theoran, Priestess Tantra, Princess Solace, and Prince Lucien. A small handful, but they all possess something about them. I will find out what that is soon enough. Princess Naedira has no quarrels with me. On the contrary, I feel she has no fear and is merely curious. She is a humble sort that will probably corner me one day to converse me on things I do not care to listen to.

Fed up with being around all the higher ups, I left for the forest after a few guests themselves departed. There I was able to restore some power to myself and feed Ra by killing a few rabbits and a bear. Two extra kills came upon my path, but they were not welcome. Bile wolves lurk within. And that bothers me.

I have only seen a select few breeds of creatures appear in the same world as others. Elves, Faye, Faerie, Dragons, Undead, Angels, Demons, goblins, and many others frequent medieval planes, but not more later timed. A select few creatures do appear in both time periods and those inbetween. Bile Wolves have now been added to that. They were found in time periods centuries after this time period, but they are here as well. It makes me wonder what else may be here.

I managed to kill one from the start by decapitating it with my sword, Harbinger once one decided to lunge at me. I believed I could take them all there, but their sticky skin reminded me that it would be difficult to do. I lured them out of the forest and into a meadow where I found a stream to reduce their movement and make it difficult for my weapon to be dulled from contact; however, they did not linger in the water. I have discovered that they will fall apart if exposed to clean, fresh aquas. A few good splashes sent them running, but not after I silenced another.

I made my mistake after that. I had punctured the lungs of the second wolf and had not realized this. Upon the removal of my blade, its poisonous gas that it exhales erupted into my face. I breathed in some of the fumes because of this, and instead of keeping calm I panicked. That was the second mistake.

The lungs take in air to give to the body. The body's blood absorbs this to feed the body. Blood is pumped from the heart. That means from my state of disarray, I excelerated my heart rate and pumped the venom cloud faster through out my person. Luckily I knew whom to get assistance from: the priestess Tantra.

Tantra was accompanied by Theoran and Solace. At first the young girl appeared reluctant to assist me; however, she being a healer could not let me suffer or die. So she scavenged some herbs, while Princess Solace and the knight Theoran looked after me. What she gave me was a purplish plant with many leaves about it. They were still small to make a full cure, but my body has great fortitude and power within it. All I needed was what she provided in order to stabalize myself.

I thanked the girl and offered her a service. She declined and asked for me to stop killing animals. I declined that offer but accepted the other parts. She wished for me to use the bodies I leave behind me when hunting and kill a variety if I am to slaughter. Since I could not fully accept her request-I gave a vague reason as to why-I decided to give her and her companions a small amount of aid should they need me. It was the least I could do.

Days 2701-2703
Year: I should really ask
Month: I have yet to find a calendar
Season: I need to ask about this as well

The past few days I have spent exploring the castle grounds, the graveyard, the forest a little more, feeding upon many woodland creatures to keep Ra sated, and the castle itself. I have found that at night the graveyard is littered with lingering souls. I hae yet to partake in them, but I shall if need be. I would rather stick to hunting live game rather than punish the agonized. The gardens are kept very well and the forest is vast. The castle itself is large and ever changing.

The halls seem to shift from time to time. Leaving bread crumbs is virtually pointless. The person can usually find their ways back, but that does not mean it is not an annoyance. What's more I was provided a room courtesy of this self proclaimed god, Veritas. I accepted it without question. I much rather be in a warm bed than the cold bed roll.

I have discovered a library as well; though, I have not decided to read the books inside. I must map out my work space first before I can indulge myself with the texts provided there. I did plan to pay a visit to it today-day 2703. That plan was foiled by this Veritas summoning everyone to the great hall. If he is calling for an audience, this god that never shows himself, then it must be of importance. I'll abide by the order to see what this hub-bub is about.

Day 2703 Continued

That God that rules this place really likes to push my buttons. He must know every single thing I hate because the game he made came close to blowing my cover here.

Veritas decided it was time to send his guests down into the biggest cellar the world has ever known. He calls it his catacombs, though I never saw a coffin or anything living dead.

A scavenger hunt for an urn, which contained only he knew, was opened before us all. Whomever touched the urn first would receive a wish from him; however, there were some rules to this game that nobody liked.

First off: everyone was paired up with their holy betrothed. I say holy because he was the one that sanctioned arranged marriages amongst the big shot royals. Those whom were not of the highest class were also paired together. Though I managed to get thrown into a Princess of one of these courts; Madelyne. The second rule was that these pairs could not leave the side of their partner, literally. That damn God cast a spell that bound everyone, well almost everyone, to a four foot radius of their partner's presence. Nobody, absolutely nobody, enjoyed this rule. And, as far as I could tell, none of the regal players were thrilled about their betrothed or the second rule of the game. I would not be either.

Madelyne, my princess partner, was quick to find with the help of the spell and me calling out to her like a fool. She was a gifted healer and archer from what she told me; though, those skills were never used throughout our adventure together. EH...I hate that word. She was not repulsive looking, so I could stand some sight of her. I also found out how soft she was on her bottom end and arms for she grasped both of mine, and I had the unwanted liberty of lifting her up off my neck. The girl appeared naive to the world's negativity. She had not known violence clearly, nor people with my demeanor. Still, she did defend me, for whatever reason, when I got into squabbles with my other partners.

Oh yes, I had more. We were not bound by that radius rule to each other, but we still worked with one another. My partner and I figured that we would need more able bodies to make our group a stronger contender since the other people in the room were doing the same. I really know how to pick them, let me tell you.

We placed ourselves in the company of a Cat-Demon Prince; Eros, an Elven Princess; Danae, a half-ice demon; Alice, and a wraith infused knight; Jasper. I've dealt with some of their kind in the past, so I hoped their skills would prove useful if not be useful as meat shields.

I had wanted to join up with a more familiar group consisting Knight Theoran, Priestess Tantra, and Princess Solace; including that noisy owl. To my anger, Princess Solace had been partnered and betrothed to a Duke of Avarice named Adam. What made me want to ring his neck right before them was that he was the host body of a demon. Ra confirmed it. I held my sword and only offered my services of smiting him indirectly to the group.

With that development of knowing what Adam was and what he would do to them given the chance, Madelyne and I chose that other misfit group just before I challenged Knight Apollo. His first partner, a servant given her clothes, had fallen ill suddenly. To remedy this, Veritas paired him with someone new, fighter Soren. A red headed girl that displayed herself as someone capable. I could not help but make a snide comment on the sudden switch. Apollo seemed to expect that from me, and came back with his own words. It was getting fun, but Madelyne took hold of the arm that could kill her.

That was when I believed I had to eliminate the princess should she learn too much. That sudden action put her on thin ice right off the bat. I had to watch her from then on.

My group's first challenge was a hole. A hole filled with bugs of many varieties. Alice, that frigid wench, decided to scream at the sight. Danae also panicked and send the bugs squishing against a wall with a psychic force push. Right in the very beginning Alice and I marked ourselves as enemies to our livelihood. She was something I hunted, and I was someone she needed gone to make her plans for puppeting that knight solid.

She and I bickered until Jasper got testy and Madelyne interjected. Already he was being controlled by her features. He marked himself as a target then. The cat-demon did not do much, but he still had to go as well. Prince or not, he had to die like the rest of the demonic rabble. Danae seemed to hate him, so I was not worried about her infection yet.

Or search for a way out led Madelyne to a secret button purposely put there to annoy us. It opened a back room that ended in nothing. So we went up the way we slid down. Jasper levitated myself and my princess up the hole. I held onto her, so she would not fall and get stuck to me. Her arms were straining my neck, so I took the liberty of lifting her. The action left us awkward until I lowered a rope for Alice and Jasper to get up. I could have just left them there after the knight floated Danae and Eros to us, but Madelyne would have refused to move forward. A noble noble, just my luck, right?

We traveled a long ways down a path I chose. Jasper had made it his duty to flirt like some pervert with that disgusting demon, and annoy me whenever he could. I threatened them both, and they threatened back. I decided to tempt their honor by telling them I was lame in the left arm. Nobody did anything against me after that. It was funny, though the outbursts were from Ra's influence. That was not, and I told him to retreat, or I would throw us both into Oblivion. A seer taught me how to get there, so he knew I was not bluffing.

Our wonderfully enjoyable walk, and by that I mean I hated every second I was forced to be around those idiots, brought us to a room filled to the brim with shrunken heads. It was a curious sight. Everyone agreed without a word. The door ahead of us I, making it the only way out after the went we walked through closed, spoke cryptic words: Silence is the Key. After I read that riddle every head, except one, burst out in mind destroying screams.

The noise was so intense it could make someone pass out from the pain. It drained us of strength. Alice decided to try and destroy one, but it shot back with poisonous fumes that made the victim cough uncontrollably. That brought me brief amusement. Knowing we had to get out fast, I yelled for the others to look for a head that was not screaming. If the riddle was literal, then one head was silent and held a key.

We searched high and low for the head. It was excruciatingly hard to concentrate with blasts of voices in your ears. My own search brought me above Madelye. I looked behind me once at was at a good height to see our target. I leaped for the head, took it in hand, and fell backwards onto my back. The spell that still bound us pulled me to my princess partner. I felt no pain upon landing nor the impact. I was more concerned with getting the key out of the head and handing it off.

Seeing my treasure, Madelyne took the initiative to grab the cure to our agony, while pulling me along with her. She fumbled with the device for a moment, to dismay, but she succeeded in open the door. We rushed through to have our hearing saved, but our resolve challenged.

One last challenged awaited us. Three seemed to be the magic number here too. Ahead of us was a hedge maze with an odd effect to it. It filled its victims with dread, depression, and fear. On top of that it created illusions of what we feared most. I felt at home but still shaken. I took out my sword to see if my fears were to be shown to me, and my reflection was of my internal monster. What everybody else saw I will never know. For I forced us to move on through the twists and turns of the maze. I saw glimpses of myself as what I did not want to become, ghosts of whom I absorbed sat in the corners of my eyes, and Xard's laughter echoed in my head. It was not a pleasant place, I can assure you. We were free from our vices by a portal. Someone had beaten us to the goal, but I believe we were all just happy to be done with our company and the catacombs.

We were not entirely free though. The spell lasted still. So those still bound found themselves sharing a room. The spell, I believe, was dismissed during the night, but I cannot be sure. I slept too soundly for me to get up and walk out of Madelyne's chambers. A room I visited before when I told her to change her clothes to something more sturdy for our adventure. I awakened before she did still and left her bed side without a sound.

The girl did not hate me, and I had not found any further reason to end her life while she slept. Still, I am someone that can't stand another person's presence for long unless it is of my old comrades.

This contest taught me to be on edge all the time around everyone I meet and when in this God's domain. I will carry that throughout my time here.

=====================================================

Days 2704-2706

As the days go by I cannot help but think about the old days. The only people I could trust my life with filled my head. I wanted to know if they were doing well. I wished to see their faces if only for a moment. But I know it is only a fantasy. I can never face them. I have committed too many crimes against humanity. My old mentors would never forgive their pupil.

Still, I would like their company. I want to hear stories and legends from Sensei Edge. I want to watch Sensei Tarin craft another one of his magic masks. I want to watch Trevor knock down whole trees with his hammer to get an arbitrary amount of firewood. We always had fun messing around in the forest. Maddy, our own rogue was always fun to watch play jokes on him and Nezareth. Then Nez would always come back with some insult concerning Madelyne's flat chest. Nez...I miss you.

I still cannot forgive myself for what I did to you. I took your soul and tore it in half. I keep your good nature with me, while Xard holds your negative feelings with him. I never got to confess my feelings to you, and I never will. I know you never felt the same for me, but it was still something I wanted to get off my chest.

Xard, you have stolen so much from me. It was all to give yourself power with my help. We share the strengths with different outcomes, but this power was not something I wanted. I wanted to stop being weak and be able to defend everyone with a power to conquer all foes, but I never expected that strength to be evil. Serves me right for making a deal with a Daemon. I probably got one of the best contracts he had ever made with a mortal, but the cost is still greater than anybody can imagine. I can only keep hunting him now. To rip his own soul from his body.

I wonder what happens when your own soul is taken into the orbs you possess in your body? An implosion? I guess I have to kill him to see, and I plan on it.

I got distracted. Nothing really has happened over the passed three days. I have been feeding off animals and using up their bodies like Tantra has asked. I cannot eat ever carcass myself, but I still cook it to get the scent in the air. The more carnivores creatures are lured in by the scent, and I feed them by toss out the meats and bones into the woods. I am their hunter, but that does not halt their hunger for food. I have probably messed up the ecosystem here. If anybody camps out and cooks meat, they might find themselves being stalked by dire bears and bile wolves.

I have not placed myself in the company of Princess Madelyne, or anybody for that matter. I have only watched those in my line of sight from afar, while I keep a vigil for Xard. The dense castle has my senses for him bounce off the walls. It forbids me from pinpointing his exact location. I will only know it is him by being close by. It irks me, but there is nothing else I can do.

Today I think I will just hang out atop of the castle's spires. The breeze is pleasant today, and I can see everything outside from atop of the structure. Nobody will bother me up there on top of that.
