Just read an article that says Martin Baum has just translated some classics into text speak, which I think is hilarious but I doubt I'd ever read. I'm sure that it would vastly improve such novels as Great Expectations, though.

All Purpose Muling Device So many media outlets just really don't understand current youth-centric trends. It's kind of funny, really. I'm only 25 and I don't understand a lot of it either. I trained as a youth worker when I was 19 (which was bizarre given I was technically a young person), and even then I even struggled with the changes in young person lingo. It's weird how quickly things change.

It's an interesting theory, but I think it'd be a lot more comprehensible if it used actual text abbreviations rather than . . . this.

XDD Unless you'd set this kind of thing as a project of sorts. razz "comparing modern language to old English" or something of the like. @Eileen: I think I'd be royally baffled then. I'm bad enough when my ex sends me messages. His English is terrible, so it takes me some time to decipher. xP
