If you do not know where to get your pal pad/Friend Code:
Just go downstairs in any Pokemon center and talk to the woman on the right side of the counter, she will give you your pal pad. You have to enter the Wi-Fi spot once to get your Friend Code. Once you have done that you can check it at any time by opening the Pal Pad and clicking on (your name's) friend code.
To register someone else on your Pal Pad just click on Register Friend Code.
