When her hand finally slipped into his, he could barely breath; he finally would have her to himself for once. He felt as if he'd one a magnificent trophy as he stared into those amber pools. The scent of her filled him and it took all that he had not to scoop her into his arms and carry her away into some unknown land. Some place where she would be safe from the war and away from other men and their prying eyes. However, for the time being, that could not be. It would be rather foolish to drag away the youngest of Lust, even if her father treated her poorly. But damn her beauty and the way his siren was drawn to her. The young prince of Wrath quickly withdrew from his thoughts as his fingers curled around her's and a small smile tugged at his lips, making his dark coals shimmer with warmth.
"Shall we?" He gestured toward the doorway that would lead them into the gardens. Lucas lead her there and watched as the sun turned her silken tendrils into flames that framed her smooth pale features perfectly. "I wasn't expecting you to allow me a moment with you alone.. Not with all that has happened that is." He uttered reflecting back at the rage that he felt when Nathaniel, that leach, was near her. Even now he could feel it boiling within him, causing the skin on his back to itch and burn. Readying for his wings to be released and his monster to take control and teach him a thing or two. Show him who had rights to court the young siren that he'd already marked as his.
Damn I'm doing it again. He thought as he tore his gaze away from her own. God I could get lost in those. "My apologies." He muttered, why the hell was he appologizing? Men of Wrath did no such things. He was a fighter, a thing that fed off of anger, hatred and yet he was puddy in her hands. Damn it. Then without warning he turned toward her, his broad shoulders pressed back pressing himself into his full height. He couldn't help but allow the pep talk from his elder brother slip into his mind. Perhaps he was right, to let her go. But even know staring down at her he knew he could do no such thing. He wouldn't give up on her, hell even if he wanted to the siren within him wouldn't allow it. Come hell or high water the young princess would be his.
"Lorelei.. Forgive me for my boldness. I can't help it. I've grown very fond of you in a short time." He murmured his voice being to weave with the sweet melody of a male sire calling to a mate as his finger tips found their way to her tender cheek, the pad of his tumb gently caressing the satin skin. His lips burned to feel hers and his body began to ache for her touch. If only she felt the same way.
"I can not lie to you and say I only want friendship from you, I want so much more than that." You're pathetic. He couldn't help but hear the voice of his brother slip into his mind. Even if it was a figment of his imagination, it did sting slightly. But not enough to tear him away from the woman he wanted. His thumb gently passed over her tender lips as his gaze held her own captive. "But I will not take what you do not give me freely. I'm not that much of a beast."

Lorelei dipped her head with a smile, auburn tresses cascading softly over her shoulder. "It's but a moment alone." She said kindly, trying to ignore Alexander's voice scathing the man, lashing out horrendous slurs to Lucas' name. Not now. I did promise him after all. A small laugh escaped her parted lips as she stole a glance back at her brother. "I doubt that Vincent will allow for more." The princess said, remembering well that he'd hold what honor she did have to her name in high esteem.
They walked out of the dining room, her hand in his despite the cries vehemently protesting. Her amber gems widened at his abrupt apology, her hand retracted from his, and fell to her land over her chest, heart fluttering as he pushed closer, possession marked in his eyes. And Lorelei didn't doubt that his persistence wouldn't waver; already, he'd stolen a kiss, had made lucid his intentions of courting her. But he had to realize, she'd never be allowed to see him once they left this safe haven; her father wouldn't allow it. For her even to entertain the notion of a short lived romance with him was forbidden.
The princess made half a step back when his hand reached up to caress her face, the notes enveloping her, calling out to the siren within. It was a dangerous ploy, one that he'd nearly won before. Her breath caught in her chest, and the logical part of her mind attempted to ward off the spell. To be snared by another with so much at stake was not a good idea. But even said, her cheek leaned into the palm of his hand, marveling in the soft touch. For one from Lust, physical contact was comforting, soothing, and did well to alleviate her fears momentarily. Her mouth parted slightly when his thumb ran lightly over the full of her bottom lip, the sensation leaving her tingling. It was surprising, the gentle moves he made with her, given his kingdom being well known for having nasty tempers. Perhaps...
No. She pushed the ideas out of her head, maintaining a steadfast opinion on the matters of her courting.
"Lucas." she breathed, closing her eyes. "I know of what your intentions contain, but you must acknowledge that I cannot grant you what you wish. Micah killed the last man who wanted to get close, and if she doesn't, my father certainly will." One of her hands encompassed the one on her cheek, lacing her slender fingers within his. "My affections are not worth you risking everything." Besides... I am cursed. A kiss from my lips spells your death. And Alexander's death was still so fresh, still a terrifying experience that had etched itself into everything she saw.
"To give into these urges would be selfish of me, because I cannot allow myself this." She whispered, her irises darkening in hue. "Only tragedy will fall those who ascertain my romantic attentions. Lucas, you saw what happened to Alexander. To ask you to risk the same is unspeakable." He needed to let go.
"I'll kill him if he gets too close, Lorelei." Alexander growled, warning her to break it off with the prince before his lips settled on locking with hers. "You belong to me, and no one else will have you. I died for you Lorelei, and can offer much when darkness folds over the sun. Much more than this half breed."
"I don't want harm to befall upon you." Lorelei murmured.

His name slipped from her lips sending another wave of want to wash through him. Her voice weaving about him as if it were a second skin and even thought she was saying no to him. However the young prince of Wrath, in all his stuborn glory, wasn't going to weild and let her fall into a hands of another. One that would no doubt only fall pray to her siren and never know who she truely was.
Lucas stiffled the chuckle when she warned him about her sister. I can handle her. He thought for the smallest of moments. As far as he saw it the eldest daughter of lust was far to protective over her siblings and from what he had heard about the Envy Heir he was a peice of work and knew all to well how to woo someone of the fairer sex.
It had been roomered he had a group of them just waiting for him to call upon them. Lucas couldn't help but feel pleased for his fall. He wouldn't have been able to bare it had the same fate befallen her. He thought as his gaze drifted across her face and took in each detail to memory. Even know when she fed off reason after reason as to why they could not be together she was beatiful. More beatiful than any other maiden he'd looked upon. Had he not been born with some siren blood in him he would have thought it was for that reason and reason alone. But no there was more to it, he saw deeper than the insnaring song of a siren. It was only then when her finger found his own and wove together.
The formilar heat rose in him and his body roared begging him to give into the meek siren that stood before him. He eyed her for a moment as his brow rose into a high peak, her voice was lower, softer as fear slipped into her features. Then she said it the true reason why she didn't want more with him. She was fear full that he might be harmed by something or someone and he wanted to kiss her.
Oh dear gods he wanted to and before he could think he'd leaned down and captured her lips in a gentle imbrace and in doing so with his free hand he drew her closer to him. Savoring her sweet scent and the taste of her lips. Reluctantly he pulled away from her and stared down at those amber hues that were slowly but surely steeling his heart.
" Lore I'm not about to back down. I can't do that. I would rather die a thousand deaths than to know for what time we have that you keep me in your heart." His gaze searched hers looking for recognition, something that said she understood what he was saying and offering her. "It is not about selfishness on my part or yours. And I am not Alexander and I know his memory pains you and you fear that is what will happen to anyone who looks your way. But my dear sweet Lorelei I want this more than I want my title." He murmured as he drew her into him tucking her head just benieth his chin.
Taking care not to hold her to tightly so that if she wanted to escape she could. His dark melody was woven about them, with out the spell of a siren. Rather the spell of a man who wants to be worthy of a woman, a woman who is quickly stealing his heart.
A small chuckle slipped his lips as he kissed the top of her auburn curls. "It seems I've already broken what I said I wouldn't do." He murmured into the locks.

A lady with a violin, Playing to the seas Hearken to the sound of calling
I tied myself to the wheel The winds talk to my sails, not me Come to me....Come to me... Somewhere _____________________________________________________ there my fate revealed... I hear but how will I see? Kingdom Lust Rank: Youngest Princess Location:Main Gardens
Lorelei’s breath caught as Lucas pressed them closer together, his arm snaking about her waist as his lips locked upon her own. Her hand pushed against his chest, a weak protest in telling him to stop. The siren within her veins surged through her with adrenaline, the sin of which she was born compelling her to let him be, let him have what he so desired. But the back of her mind flooded with Alexander’s incessant chatter, his threats running rampant in her skull. If Micah didn’t make mincemeat of this prince, the ghost of Alexander Bellerose would. “You told him no, damnit.” His arms folded across his chest, his posture rigid with his ire. “What in the hell makes this guy believe he deserves you, when I died for you Lorelei?” Yes, play the guilt card on the impressionable young woman. She’d fall subject to his slurs, would force herself to deny the lust that ran so thick in those of her kingdom’s blood.
Lucas pulled away on his own accord, and Lorelei’s porcelain features transformed into the semblance of her confusion. “You must, Lucas.” The strain in her voice wasn’t heard, was lost in the sea of her song. Never had she been able to silence the melodies that drifted with her words, but they always seemed more determined when the young princess was faced with something stressful. “You must move on, forget these feelings for me.” In truth he hardly knew her, but he’d been the shoulder for her to cry on when Alexander had passed. Micah had deserted her, and Cat hadn’t been anywhere to be found. Oh, how she needed Cat now, how she desired her sister’s guidance.
“You mustn’t make such stark declarations.” Panic edged her veins, her conscience. To let him pursue the dead end that was her was cruel, and her chest ached with the need for him to realize that. “To lose your title for but a short time with me would never be worth it. This cannot work, don’t you see? Soon we will both return to our respective kingdoms, and I’ll ever be out of your reach, never again to feel your embrace.” And what then? Would he go mad, like so many who had been snared with the siren’s song?
Strong arms wrapped around her, pulling her to lean against the wall of his chest, and his voice declared he wouldn’t suffer the same fate as Alexander. The prince couldn’t possibly know that; as it was, he had no clue that the late Bellerose heir was incessantly threatening him, and by proxy, Lorelei.
“Time.” She whispered, a sad symphony weaving into the air, satin coils enveloping the pair for but a few moments before following the breeze. “It’s essential for any of this to work, Lucas. I need time to repair the damages done to me from Alexander’s death; I need time to figure out just who I am now, and then time to learn…” How to trust my own feelings. The princess had been certain she had hated Alexander, only for her kiss to seal his fate, so she left the latter unsaid. “And we don’t have that. I could be called home tomorrow. Don’t you see? Don’t you realize that there is no longevity with me, that you deserve better than what I can ever offer you?”
She backed away then, cheeks hot with color now that she could think again, ire broiling in her resin colored eyes. “Indeed you have, Lucas.” How could she trust him, when she knew that a friendship would never be good enough? “You must restrain your urges,” Lest my sin insist that you carry me off. “It’s not proper, and there are already so many whispers that surround my name, fervidly claiming me a temptress, a witch.”

He wanted to weep for her, she held so much weight on her shoulders cursed by not only her nature but by her very voice. He wanted to ease her woes to sooth her and comfort her. Yet at the very same time he battled with himself in taking her and stake his clame. Darring any man who felt foolish enough to challeng him or letting her come to him and morn her losses.
However if he allowed her that and took a step back would she find another and insnare them in a way that she could not do to him? Could he truely risk that with her? He thought as he listened to her words so full of raw emotion as she attempted to throw him every reason why they shouldn't be together at him, believing he would deter from his path. She still had much to learn about him, he was far to stuborn and head strong. Ones he saw something he desired he went after it.
Taking on any challege that may come his way, it wasn't in him to give up. Nothing could break his resolve ones made. After years of belonging to the army and being trained by the best, under such conditions one had to be strong and full of will in order to live. If not he was cut down by those stronger than he who wanted to be victorious. He tried not to smile when she suggested better, who possibly could be better? He saw in her an equal someone who could match him stride for stride rather then being wrapped up in his voice and charm.
She could actually see him even if she was so young and still not at her fullest. But try as he might he failed and it touched his lips, softening them as it reached his eyes. Warming and turning the dark orgs into warm pools of chocolate. He never spoke and allowed her this moment to do so.
Allowing her voice to bath him in it's hypnotic melodies; woven with the urgencies of a young woman fearful that she would destroy anything that crosses her path. He couldn't let her believe that and it only strengthened his resolve, he would not sway from this path. He made his mind up hours ago, she would be his one day.
His hold loosened even more as she pooled away from him, her cheeks flush with color and warmth as she back away from him. Lucas held still as he watched her, his gaze sweping across her face. He wanted to pool her back into his embrace where he could keep her safe from the world if but for a moment longer, but he'd already pushed her, perhaps to far.
"Lorelie." He purred her name his voice weaving with his siren song wanting to sooth her pain with the magic of his voice. She had indured far more than he could ever understand and it made him feel helpless as he struggled for words to help her. To show her that she was not a witch, a temptress. At least not in the sense they meant.
He ran a steady hand through his dark locks, an act of frustration, as he pulled his gaze away from her and allowed it to settle on a near by tree. How to put into words so that she could believe him? It puzzled him.
Slowly the words began to form on his lips and as he stared at the plant and watched as the wind russled it's branches. Swaying gently in the breeze he turned back to her. "Lorelei. Do you fear that your song is what drew me in and keeps me here? I assure you that yes it helped pull me to you, but not for the reasons you may believe. I am drawn to you because I see an equial. A woman whom is strong and beatiful who can see past my own song and see the man below." He took a small step toward her and held out his hand to her.
"I am trying so very hard to understand you and your losses your fears and your woes. I'm a very stuborn man and ones I've made up my mind I do not waver and I don not believe that you are this woman you're trying to convince me you are. Or that you do not want me. You're fearful of what may happen to me, to you if you gave into something that may cause you happyness." His fingers curled around her hand as he drew it to his lip, placing a gentle kiss upon each knuckle. While his gaze locked with hers, flickering to smoldering coils. "Tell me you do not want to give into me, that you do not want to see what I have to offer you." He murmured against her knuckles, his breath warm against her cool fingers.

The purring of her name caused her heart to still momentarily within the cavity of her chest before it started again, sputtering at a more rapid pace when it came to. The one word was enough to allow a few of her walls to fall down, leaving her just a tad more vulnerable to his advances. “The fear that troubles me most is that I believe the beckoning call of my voice will keep you here.” Already her siren had answered hers, but Nathaniel had whisked her away before anything could come of his efforts.
Lorelei listened intently to his pleas, that he wanted her despite all the warnings that she’d given him. A part of her basked in the warmth from his persistence, another part of her told her to run, to keep him safe. And to keep what was left of her tethered heart together.
His hand wrapped delicately around hers, and she fought to let the thrill give her shivers as he laid a kiss upon the satin skin over her knuckles. That look he gave her made her knees weak, and she leaned more heavily into the tree then, the hand that he didn’t have wrapping around the bark in desperation of something to hold so that she’d not fly into his arms has he wanted. The princess swallowed the lump in her throat, sure that it was her heart that had jumped locations. “What I want, and what is prudent do not always run parallel to each other, Sir Lucas.”
And even still, the death of Alexander was too new for her to flounce to one guy, especially when she’d been the cause of the first’s death. She couldn’t risk the same fate with another man. “I’m forbidden Lucas. And what will you say, when the time comes to part ways?” Would he be able to keep from her then, or would the prince of Wrath carry her off as though she were some prize he’d finally achieved.
“My father will simply not allow for me to court, let alone remain a permanent fixture on a man’s arm. He’ll not stand to let you fondle me so openly.” But his warmed breath came upon her knuckles, and Lorelei lost herself to the sensation for a brief moment before Alexander began to bark at her, to tell her to straighten up and act the lady that he knew she was.
“L-lucas. we can’t.” The whisper came out in a short breath, music insisting that he not listen to her words following harmoniously after. “I can’t.” Damn her voice.

He chuckled lightly, filling the air around them with a gentle melody woven with deep joy. His eyes danced with amusement at her attempt to dance around it and not answer him out right. That was one thing he was begging to notice that she did, and did very well. Let alone her use of his title rather than just his given name. She was so adorable when flustered by him and he couldn't wipe away the smug smile of male pride. His rich laughter slowly calmed as he cleared his throat and prepared to speak. "Lady," he teased, using his best impersonation of a well mannered aristocrat. "I asked what you wanted not what was prudent." He murmured, laughter still lacing with his beautiful voice.
He knew the trouble she faced, she didn't have to say it again for his ears. He knew of Alex's death and how it had affected her. She was so torn and broken when he'd first laid eyes on her and he wanted to be there for her, even then, for reasons unknown to him. "But fair princess forbidden can be so much...fun." He purred, letting the letters roll from his tongue in an intoxicating melody.
"Lorelei, why worry about then when we have today? Us here in this garden, so beautiful, failing in comparison to you." He hesitated his mouth going dry as he realized the reality, the truth in his statement. His eyes lingering on hers and sweeping down her lush figure hidden away by proper garments. He hadn't even realized how quickly his heart was pounding as he watched her, taking her in, drawing her sweet scent into his lungs. Quickly he regained himself and cleared his throat. "I wish not worry about tomorrow, when it comes I'll deal with it. I'd rather know that I lived today well then regret it for the rest of my life."
His memory fell back upon another woman, who had tried to lure him in. He was a good man then, a better one from the one he was today. Still in his youth, a boy really, and he'd met her. So young and radiant and he was smitten with her and she with him. They were to marry, but he kept putting it off and putting it off for reasons unknown to him. She brought it up to him one night asking why he wouldn't marry her. He didn't have the answer and it ended in a nasty fight between the two. The following day an attack happened in the land, and she was killed.
He pulled himself away from his thoughts and let her hand go as he turned away from her. It had been years since he'd thought about that. That day was the day that he vowed never to let a moment go, to never let fear get in your way. Probably was the reason he was alright with Mishka and Jasper. He sighed heavily as he bowed his head and ran a shaky hand through his hair. Lorelei's voice wove about him, almost pulling him free of the painful memories.
He wasn't about to burden her with his pain, she already had so much of her own. Perhaps this wasn't right, he wasn't right and he should let her go. He thought for a brief moment and quickly pushed it away as he tilted his head to look up at the evening sky, swirled with colors of the night. "It's beautiful; Lorelei... Please don't push me away. Allow me this time with you. I know I ask so much of you. But I want a chance and who knows perhaps we may just get along. I assure you I'm not always so brooding." He uttered, his voice woven with a deep sorrow that he could not quiet shake.

He teased her, as though what he was asking was a trivial matter, and it simply wasn't. Not for her, with so much that had transpired, not after being forbidden to know another's company, not after watching her first interest be slaughtered only moments before he'd been able to steal a kiss from her glossy lips. Lucas bade her to speak of her wants, desires, and forget what was the wisest course of action for the time being.
His laughter made her heart want more, the rich sound vibrating in her chest, the tenors plucking at her heart strings as they beckoned her to relent to him. Alexander glared at her, as though his dead eyes might be able to burn a hole in her pallid flesh. “What you want is something that the day cannot provide you. But wait until the darkness has shrouded over the skies, and enveloped the sun for a night's time.”
The young princess wanted to groan as she heard the late Bellerose's scorn, but she kept it locked within the cavities of her chest, not to set Lucas off that he still didn't truly have her alone the way he'd requested. “Forbidden is dangerous, Lucas.” Lorelei breathed, pressing herself to ignore the melodies so easily strung together as they wrapped about her form, almost binding her to the man before her. “Besides, what I want is never as important as the heart of the matter. And you know very well how this will end.” Unless he whisked her away, gave up all that he was to live with her in hiding. But even then, Richard would find them, and Alexander would likely follow her about, spitting out curses for her being a whore. It was a scenario that she saw little happiness evolving from. “You will have to marry one day, mi'lord, and I am not a proper wife.” And never could she be. “The cards are stacked against this, Lucas.” The slip caused her to close her eyes, a curtain of long, curling eyelashes sweeping across her cheeks. “Don't you see?”
Was he blind, or just that stubborn? The latter warmed her, made her feel special for once... because he, however misguided the thoughts were, thought she was worth all this trouble. It was sweet, endearing. And bad. Very, very bad. The young princess wanted to stamp her foot in protest, make him realize that he was playing with fire that wouldn't tantalize and tease him, but would consume him, burn him until there was naught but ash remaining.
She wanted to squirm from his darkened gaze as his eyes wandered down, no doubt appreciating a figure that she didn't believe was there. Her breath caught as he marveled over her, feeling defenseless in that moment. That stare, she might have done a great many things to get him to look at her like that again, if she weren't so bound by the statues her father had set out for her, if she weren't trapped by the curse of her voice. If she were more selfish to not give a damn the way he didn't. “Because like it or not, our actions today will bite us on the morrow. There's too much at stake for you to pursue me. I'm too broken. Don't you see?” Even as she said it, Alexander had stepped closer, whispering things for her to tell Lucas to make him back off. No, Alexander. “My father... damn it, my sister wouldn't allow it.”
Pain etched itself into his features, and Lorelei's heart was torn in two directions when she thought she'd succeeded in getting him to understand that they couldn't be more than what they were now. Unthinking, Lorelei's dainty hand pushed one stray lock of dark hair from his face; the simple notion meant to comfort him, but not push him forward. “I will allow what my family allows with you; Vincent is hard pressed to keep an eye on me.” She conceded, blinking slowly as she realized the dire mistake. “But know that our time together is stemmed from our friendship, and not because I have agreed to courting.” Though, the back of her mind told her that it wouldn't work; time spent with Lucas would likely be filled with his gently, and sometimes not so gently when he stole a kiss, wooing her so that she'd finally relent, and let him call her his.
The problem wasn't that she feared they wouldn't get along. In fact, her fears were stemmed from the opposite, and that she might grow to like Lucas far too well.

The young prince's breath hitched in his throat when her touch started him back into the present. Pulling him so abruptly that his hand rose, with unhumanly reflexes, encircling her wrist and red ambers flickered in the depths of his dark pools. Showing a glimce of the beast within that he kept under lock and key. It manipulated his vision for a moment and in that moment she resembled his lost love. Lucas footing fautered and he took a step back.
This is not right. He thought blinking away the image and released his hold.
"S-sorry." He stammered out his voice trembleing, weaving with painful cords. Praying his grip hadn't hurt her or bruised her fair skin. Her brother surely would have his head as a mantel center piece. Or that his sudden change hadn't frightened her away from him. Or raise questions that he was far from ready to answer. Noone knew of the pain that lingered deep in his chest. Even when it would strangle his heart with deathing force.
The youngest son of Wrath shoved his hand through his dark locks and forced his gaze to his feet. He need a moment to regain himself, to focus on what he was determined to have and that was her. Despite what his elder brother had said and warned him against pursuing. Lucas couldn't even imagine what he would say if he'd known of Melrose. The very thought of her name sent daggers into his heart shredding it. He bit his lip and used the pain to push her away and time to regain his suave charm.
"Lorelei have you wondered why your voice doesn't affect me as it does other men?" He asked raising his gaze to meet hers. Allowing her to see the truth of his words with in his eyes. "I won't lie I am drawn to you but not like the others. Don't you want to be with a man where you know he's here for you, and you alone and not because of your voice?" He asked wondering if that would make her consider his offer, or at least give him an advantage.
He closed the distance between them allowing his power to crackle and snap in the air aound them. His voice so deep and rich each cord plucked specificly to make her body tremble with an unformiliar want. "Don't hid behind your families boundries or your duities as a princesses answer me with honesty. Would you rather have a man who desiered you." His hand gently caressed her cheek, a touch designed to bring a woman to her knees as his gaze held hers.
Those dark pools burning with an unashamened need. His finger tips slow traced her jaw, "Hunger for you." and slowly down her neck. "And love you and by his choice and not because your voice holds him captive." Slowly he leaned forward his lips inches from hers and just as they were about to brush her lush mouth, he placed a gentle kiss on her cheek.
He leaned away from her and regained contol of his power. Just as quickly as it had came it was gone, all traces of his power vanished. All that remained was the unashmed need that still lingered in his dark gaze.

A lady with a violin, Playing to the seas Hearken to the sound of calling
I tied myself to the wheel The winds talk to my sails, not me Come to me....Come to me... Somewhere _____________________________________________________ there my fate revealed... I hear but how will I see? Kingdom Lust Rank: Youngest Princess Location:Main Gardens Her heart jumped in her throat when his fingers snaked about her wrist, his eyes were imbued with crimson – a frightening sight to the unsuspecting princess. Just as quickly as he'd taken a rough hold of her, Lucas took a step back, releasing her from his grip. He apologized, and Lorelei was left wondering just what had triggered his temper.
Absently she rubbed the affronted wrist with her other hand, soothing the ache that he'd caused in his brief moment of insanity. “T'is alright. There won't be a bruise to show of this incident.” She stated meekly, not able to gaze upon his face without confusion marking itself plainly in her features. Whatever had spurred his anger, his possessive grip left her bamboozled, but he didn't provide an explanation and it wasn't her place to demand one from him.
He fidgeted, she stilled. As though the world had stopped spinning on its axis. He spoke again, asking her now if she ever considered the differences between his attraction and the other heads she'd turned. To her, it didn't matter whether they wanted her simply because she was a siren, or that they wanted her because of her own personality. None of it mattered, when a relationship with her was an impossibility. And she knew that even if Lucas denied it to the grave, that her voice had woven its enchantment about him. She'd felt their sirens connect, and knew well that the siren in him had wanted her for himself. It may have been different, but it was still so similar that the comparison did little to sway her from her prior claims.
Her head swam when he brought himself closer, his power enveloping her with a warmth she could easily get lost in. His scent... it was intoxicating and caused chills to ride the surface of her skin. It was enough she barely heard what he had to say, so lost in the sensation. Lorelei backed further into the tree's bark, using it to keep her upright when his fingers delicately caressed her cheek.
There was too much feeling in his irises, too much. A shiver followed his fingers, and found itself finished only when it reached her toes. “Lucas...” The response came quiet, as though she were out of breath. She'd lose himself to him, were she not careful. So easily he plucked the strings of her sin, of her engrained nature, and it was growing increasingly difficult to deny him that which he wanted.
His lips came precariously close to hers, which had parted on their own accord, ready to answer all that he asked. But instead they found themselves on her cheek, and Lorelei breathed a sigh of relief. His wants, his needs were displayed so openly in the intensity of his stare. “It doesn't matter. Don't you see? We cannot be. It would never work.” The princess finally managed, unsure where her voice had gone.
"Please..." But she was torn between what words would come next. The dutiful part of her, urged her to bid him to let her alone. The woman in her... wanted something entirely. Alexander Bellerose glowered, warning her not to finish it in the second option.
It hung in the air instead, neither part of her winning in their silent battle.

Her soft plea reached his ears and it turned his heart over. Yet at the very same moment stabbed it with a knife and sent fear racing through his veins like icy-hot flames. It moved through him like a viper ready to strike and inject him with a lethal venom that would surely still his heart and steal his breath. Even now he found he couldn't breath as he waited for her to speak. Yet he was still able to hold a somber look even as his insides twisted.
He prayed that if she spoke it wasn't what he suspected. That she would care for him enough and not turn him away. Kicking himself for telling her that if she asked he would go. Those words would have been nails on his coffen. Despite what he wanted he would do as she wished.
The air around them grew still, and still she said nothing. Relief washed over him as he relaxed and sighed. He still had a chance but for now he would let it go and just enjoy her company. He decided finally. But still his tongue remand paralyzed as he wondered just how close she'd come to sayings thoughs words.
The gentle breeze brushed against him, carrying on it her scent that calmed him more and thawed his frozen tongue. He cleared his throat. "Would you like to walk? We may talk somemore at a later date for now I would just like to enjoy you company and chat." Lucas held out his hand and waited, using no charm form his siren. Allowing her to make this choice on her own accord.

I hear but how will I see? Kingdom Lust Rank: Youngest Princess Location:Main Gardens He seemed to back off, give the princess some much needed breathing room when it came to the subject of them courting. Were it another day, another time, another place in a different world, Lorelei might have relented, might have allowed him all that he wanted. Perhaps then, she could kiss him senseless, back him into a tree and profess feelings for him that weren't quite mirrored to what she currently harbored. A siren couldn't love. Didn't he know that? That her victims would be eternally cursed, forever yearning for that which she couldn't provide. But even so, Lucas could easily see how errant she was with her decision, that eventually her stubborn nature and want for propriety would lose.
He was counting on it.
And she wasn't sure if she wanted him to, what with how her heart was still sore for Alexander.. Or if she did... Alexander's constant harping made it difficult for her to decide. Ignoring her qualms for now, forcing them to the back of her mind, Lorelei's features lifted ever so slightly with a newfound mirth. “Mi'lord... wasn't that what we were doing before, when you asked for my company?” Stifling a musical giggle with her hand, Lorelei set the pace of their walk to be leisurely, putting her arm on his with only a small form of noticeable hesitation.
“And what, kind sir, shall we chat about while we embark on this walk?” Amber eyes drifted toward the skies, and she idly mentioned nonsensical things they could speak about, things that Cat would have loved.
“Bamboozled baboons, frolicking forks, pale petals, dancing dachshunds.” She laughed then, the song musical in the air, winds carrying it through the grounds.
Regaining her composure, Lorelei pursed her lips. “Unless... there were things you'd rather discuss.” He'd promised to back off for now, so she allowed herself to relax. To believe him, despite the promises he had already broken. And with that belief, the young princess was able to bask in the sunlight, and let it channel her mood. Her tone, she attempted to make it sound tedious as she gave a list of things most men would want to discuss. “Hunting, sparring.. the war... lands... your latest conquest.”” Her eyes sidled over his form then, her grin clearly teasing.

The melody of her laughter wrapped around him and brought a smile to his lips. It lightened his earlier worries and put him at ease, this side of the princess he could get use to. Where she seemed to be relaxed and comfortable around him rather than acting as if she were a frightened mouse running from him. She even was so bold as to tease him, yes Lucas could find himself growing very fond of this side to Lorelei. Well fonder than what he already was, which could possibly lead him farther down the road of courtship and into a betrothal. The thought brought about a wave of butterfly's in his belly, no it was to soon for such thoughts. He'd only just met her and even if his siren called to hers, as he was sure his called to hers he couldn't allow such decisions to be made this early in what ever type of relationship he had with her. For now, he would allow her this reprieve from his demands.
Lucas walked along her side, listening intently to all that she said. Her voice wrapping around him like warm honey. Her laughter ones again found his ear and made him smile. "Lore please relax. I have no desire to sweep you off your feet and carry you away to some far off land." He mused as a playful smirk flirted with his lips. "Yet." He uttered, a hint of a hidden promise on his tongue. The thought had crossed his mind to throw her over his shoulder and carry her off. But the consequences (even if they mattered little to him) would surely upset her and that was something he would never allow. Harm to become her by any hand, even his own. Lucas chuckled, the melody soft and rich, as she began to tease him.
"Sorry my fair princess but I choose not to speak of such things in the company of the fairer sex. Plus even with my rank in the military it is not something I enjoy. Believe it or not." He said looking down upon her."Plus such things appear to bore you and at present you look like you might yawn from merely mentioning them." He said returning the tease, laughter danced within the his dark pools. "How ever I am quit curious about what you enjoy to do, in your free time. I believe I heard it mentioned that you enjoy the violin? Am I correct?" He asked, raising a questioning brow.

Lucas, for now... cooled it with his arguments that tried to sway her, to seduce her into courting him. For that she was thankful, because this was a task that she couldn't agree to, without consent from her elder brother, who by all rights had the ability to turn Lucas on his heels and force him to leave. Vincent hadn't seemed to thrilled to lose her company just yet, and had begrudgingly allowed her this walk with the prince because he'd asked in public forum. It'd not do well to deny such an innocent claim in front of everyone.
“T'is good that it isn't your intent.” She murmured, trying to ignore the clenching in her stomach when he uttered the simple word, “yet.” The hidden promise made a jolt in her insides, and she forced herself to quell it, already beginning to hear Alexander's adamant protests.
A faint smile graced her lips, and Lorelei shook her head, fiery tresses shining with glimmers of the sunlight kissing them. “Mi'lord, I truly think that I could listen to you speak of such things all day without complaint.” It was far easier than being pressured to court. If Lucas desired that, then speaking to the head of her family was the only way. In which case, should her family deem the match appropriate, then Lorelei would go along with it. Given how she'd been forbidden to even speak to people outside of her family and serving maids, the siren had little reason to believe that the opportunity to entertain a romantic life would come.
Though she'd tried to keep the conversation that might have better held his interest, Lucas turned the table back to her love of music, to which she nodded. “I've played since I was young.” She admitted. “Though I've had little chance to play since coming here. The lively court keeps me fairly busy.” The princess kept her pace even with Lucas', ignoring for now how sweet he was. It's not like anything can come of this, Lorelei She forced herself to remember that small fact, lest she get her hopes up all over again, and have another man suffer the same fate Alexander Bellerose did.
“Perhaps I can play for you sometime.” She said coyly, not meaning for her melodies to envelop him as they did. Another coquettish smile warmed her features before she added, “But only if you behave.”
It was then that Vincent came to check on her, taking his sister's arm in place of Lucas'. “My darling little sister, you shouldn't spend so much time with one man alone.. already rumors fly about your virtue.” He said kindly, though he simply didn't want her around one man for too long. Especially by herself, just in case her sin awakened with a full fervor. “Sir Masterson,” Vincent dipped his head. “I'm sorry I must do this, but my sister did promise me a bit of her day as well.”
