Rules
1) Each combatant starts out with 500 health points
2) Each combatant rolls a 1 100-sided dice
3) If a combatant wins a roll, they receive no damage
4) The difference between the rolls determines the damage to the losing combatant
5) When a combatant’s health points reach 0, they lose

The lich known as Discord would once again do battle against the Baroness of Necropolis. It had been some time since their last duel. Truthfully, Discord was a little excited, though his body did not show it. Do to a miscalculation on his part, Discord lost his last duel to Alnette. He did not intend to lose today.

In a bright, grandiose flash of purple fire, the sorceress Morrigan appeared. Morrigan had taken a certain interest in this little duel. She wanted to see Alnette defeated for here own selfish reasons. Garbed in clothes fitting that of a cheerleader (down to the pompoms), Morrigan sat on the sidelines, cheering on Discord.

The feeling of having someone cheer for him was quite vexing. As long as he could remember, no one had ever openly rooted for for him. Though it was unexpectedly appreciated by the lich, Morrigan only served as a distraction. Discord disregarded Morrigan as he prepared himself. Noxious vapors emanated from his skull. The breath-stealing gas was a means to slow Alnette down. It was no true attack, however. It was just his strategy to slow down Alnette in the long run. By now, he knew how her body worked. Once Alnette’s adrenaline started pumping, the vapors would take effect.

Despite her attempts and working all night to prepare the blade, Alnette had been unable to finish íobairt in time for the duel. However, this didn't deter her. Instead, she simply brought a familiar golden blade. She nodded to Discord before lunging at him, intending to go all out right away. She put most of her strength behind her attacks, slashing viciously.

"Just as expected."
Discord was obviously not as fast as Alnette. When she began her assault, he simply stood there and took the brunt of her attacks. Her slashes did more than he anticipated, but all went according to plan. Alnette was now close enough to Discord for a point blank blast. His skull chattered as twin beams of crimson light shot out of his empty eye sockets.

Alnette knew she couldn't dodge, so she simply braced herself, hoping to reduce them damage just a bit. She could counter later.

Discord poured more energy into his attack than he would have liked. It had been sometime since he walked in his true form. As could be expected, he was taking a while to readjust.

Alnette took advantage of the moment, and launched a vicious offensive, slashing as fast as she could managed with her blade.

“You’ll lose, Alnette! Just you watch!” Morrigan continued to cheer on Discord, tempted to jump into the fray. However, she didn’t want to disqualify her favorite lich. “Come on! Do well and I’ll show you where a paladin crypt is. I was saving it for as special occasion.”

"A minor setback."
When Discord heard Morrigan's words, he knew what he had to do. He had been experiment on paladin corpses, but acquiring a paladin corpse was often difficult. Morrigan's promise and praise made the lich fight harder than before. He thrust his fist forward to push back Alnette as he prepared to attack her with more laser beams from his eye sockets.

Though better prepared this time, Alnette was unable to dodge Discord's attack. Instead, she prepared to counter once his laser assault stopped.

Discord started to utter an incomprehensible incantation; it sounded more like gibberish than anything else. All of a sudden, the immediate area went black, but not blindingly so. It was as if the light was dimmed. A strange force started to drain Alnette's energy. Manifesting itself in a red aura, her energy streamed away out of her body and into Discord's skull.

Taken by surprise, Alnette was entirely unsure what to do. Instead of attempting to stop her energy from being drained, she just stood there, trying to figure out what to do.
