Ok, so this is a theory i was discussing with somebody the other day. I think it makes perfect sense, but I want to see how other people feel about it.
So, for the sake of this discussion, we will assume that the universe is infinite. Ok?
Given that the universe is infinite, then that would imply that somewhere within it, every possibly is, has, and will be played out. Not just major differences, it could simply be that you are seated one inch to the left while you type. It also implies that you, in some far off corner of the universe, have already typed this many yeas ago and are now continuing on with your life. My point is, EVERYTHING has happened.
This should mean that somewhere, two particles of matter have occupied the same space, thus brining about an end. In other words, the universe has been destroyed.
It's a hard concept to wrap your head around, but I'm a dork with too much spare time, so this is the result. Obsession over this concept.
does anyone else understand it? do you believe it is possible, or do you think that the universe has an end somewhere? Or are you just very confused? If i did manage to confuse you, i am deeply sorry.
