This thread has three purposes. One, it explains what the Events forum is used for. Two, it serves as a directory for events going on during the month. Three, it's where you post questions about the whole events process.
About the Events Forum?
The reason why this forum was created is because many teams hosted contests that were open to anyone in TDM, but because they could only post the contest in their own thread, their advertising options were limited. Another reason is that people often times missed a contest that they wanted to do, because they found out about it too late.
Sometimes, people wanted to make completely separate threads for their team events, so that they could do things like bump or dice contests without flooding their own team thread.
That is where this forum comes in. If you or your team wants to make a thread for a giveaway, contest, or event, you may post it here. Anyone may do so, though team events are higher recommended.
If you are holding a contest, it is not required that you post it in this forum. This forum is simply a convenience for those who want it.
What is the Directory?
The latter part of this thread is a Directory of events, so that you can see them all in one list. It is unrelated to the forum in that you don't have to have your event in a thread in the forum in order to have it listed in the Directory for everyone to see.
Conversely, if you make a thread in this forum for your event, it will still not be listed in the Directory until you submit the form here.
How to submit an event for the directory
- Fill out the form and post it in this thread
- If you are doing a raffle or contest that spans days or weeks, under "date" list the start day and the end day/time.
- If you have any questions, please post 'em here!
