So for school, my english teacher is making us write a short story. I just wanted someones opinion, and yeah. I don't care what you write, as long as you write something.

Max-Thames and his older sibling Sam were both sons Gerald and Riv Pavelski. They had lived in the same one story house for 15 years, the same number of years as Sam was old. Max-Thames, was 13, and younger, and always teased by his mother and his father for being young. He was teased most by Sam. Max-Thames really didn't like his older brother, but he puts up with him, and that was enough for Riv and Gerald.
Then, when Max-Thames was nine, his mother was coming home from work late, and she got T-boned by a drunk driver. She was killed after a week in the hospital. That week they had spent all the time they had with his mother. No
one ever found that drunk driver, and that tore Max-Thames up. He became a “computer geek” as said by his brother. True Sky was his only friend, but whose fault was that? Not his.
Sky's real name was Tatiana, but she didn't like that name, so she went by Sky, and she had a little brother named Jamie, They lived with their adoptive parents, because their real parents didn't want them, but her adoptive parents were totally awesome. They lived five houses down, and across the street.
The day Jamie went missing was the first snow day of the new year. That day started out with a fight for Max-Thames, that involved Sam and his crew and he just wanted to be left alone. That's when Jamie walked had walked in the tree house. He sat on the chair that was set up in the corner. It was sort of his chair. The chair that he was always
sitting on.
“No offense, Jamie, but I kind of want to be left alone.” Max-Thames said without looking up from his computer.
“Max, I just-” Jamie was cut short by Max-Thames.
“It's Max-Thames.” he said angrily.
“What if I help you?” Jamie wonder as he lifted his head. That was the difference between Max-Thames and Jamie. Jamie was the bounce-back kid, to where Max-Thames was sulkier.
“No. You can't help me.” Max-Thames said plainly.
“Yes I can-” At this, Jamie stood up and started to run over to the place that Max-Thames was. Jamie tripped over the only loose floor board in the entire tree house, and he hit the floor hard, scraping his knee and the power cord to
the entire tree house. Suddenly the power in the tree house died. Max-Thames was at his wits end.
“What the-” he was cut off by Sky, who had been standing at the entrance for at least five minutes.
“Oh come on Max. You're really going to waste words like that on Jamie?” She said. Somehow she could always make Max better. Not today.
“My names Max-Thames.” He said, grabbing his Mac and pushing pass crying Jamie and Sky. He had zero tolerance for any Mitchell today.
Later that night as Max-Thames was getting ready for bed, when he saw a weird light coming from his backyard. A blue light was not normal.
He ran outside, and the blue light persisted, apparently not going anywhere anytime soon. He followed it to his tree house, where he heard a horrible scream, the most terrifying sound he had ever heard. And at that same moment he knew exactly who was screaming. Jamie.
He tried to get to the wormhole in time to save Jamie, but he was unlucky. Jamie was being pulled to the other side. Max-Thames run up to Jamie and pulled with all his might, but it was no use. Whatever had Jamie had a good grip on him.
Max-Thames ran to Sky's house, and climbed up the side, like he used to do when they were kids and they knew they were in trouble. He knocked on the window. He waited. He knocked again, but this time it opened.
“What are you doing here? It is 11 o'clock at night!” she said. Apparently, it was still early enough for her to be fully dressed.
“We need to go. Something has Jamie.” She stopped breathing for a minute. Then Max-Thames talked again. “You okay there? Breathing?” he said in a joking way, although his face was dead serious.
“Don't lie to me Max. I don't want to go to your house.” she said turning around, and she was about to close the window when he stopped her.
“I'm not lying. For real. Jamie got sucked into a wormhole. You have to come with me.” he pleaded. He looked desperate, so she grabbed her shoes and started down the side of the house.
When they got back to the tree house, Sky looked around. She starred at the computer stuff, and nodded. Then both
her and Max-Thames started moving stuff around. Little did they know they were being watched by Sam. The portal opened when they moved a piece of equipment to the left. They looked at each and then Max-Thames stepped forward and grabbed Sky's hand, both stepping through the portal, and Max-Thames had the feeling that he was going to get sick. But that feeling stopped as soon as he hit the ground. He gulped.
In front of them was a door. Behind them the portal was still waiting, in case they chickened out. But Max-Thames went ahead and opened the door. Sky closed her eyes, and then, Max-Thames, with Sky in tow, stepped through the door.
You know how when you get car sick, and you feel like you about to throw-up you lunch, and you are just barely able to hold it all in? That's how Max-Thames felt currently. Through the door, was a jungle, the reeked of some awful stench. It smelled like blood, and a lot of it. It turned Max-Thames stomach in circles. But he walked ahead and breathed only when necessary.
“Stay here.” he said as they came to the next door.
“No way. This place smells petrifying.” She said and looked at him.
“The Mitchell's have already lost their son, but they aren't going to lose you.” he said. He was determined to win this fight.
“No. You can't tell me what to do. I'm going to save my brother.” she said pushing to the door.
“Tatiana.... stay here. Please.” He said, and then opened the door.
“No dice.” she said and stepped through the door.
They had spent the better part of the last two hours looking for Jamie, and they still couldn't find him. Sky wasn't
about to give up, and neither was Max-Thames, so they continued on. And finally Max-Thames found something. Jamie's jacket. They still walked on, and they the most horrifying thing happened. So horrifying that Max-Thames pulled Sky away. There lay poor Jamie, on the ground. He looked so still, yet something was wrong.
Getting Jamie to the hospital was all a blur, as was they way his dad looked at him. But he just rushed as he got
Jamie. When they were finally trapped at the hospital in the waiting room, he and Sky waited. It felt much like the night his mom had died. There were no people in the room, yet he saw someone new every five minutes. Most were doctors, but a few were just regular people who got hurt.
He didn't remember what time the doctor came out, but he remembered looking at Sky. She was asleep. Her parents were on either side of them, and his dad was right next to hers. He did remember his dad cry when the doctor said Jamie wasn't going to make it, and that they should say good-bye now. He didn't remember getting up, and walking to Jamie's room, but he remembered Jamie's last words. “Sorry for messing with your stuff.”
Sky didn't cry at the hospital where she watched her little brother die, nor did she cry when people told her how sorry they were. She didn't cry at the memorial, or when he was buried. She cried when she was alone, after Jamie was gone. She only cried once, but it was a lot. Max-Thames didn't cry till he was alone either. But he did cry. Even a year later, on the day Jamie died, both Max-Thames, and Sky cried. But after they realized that crying solves nothing they stopped. But they keep Jamie in their memory.
