I'm assuming that many of you here have already seen the new offers in the announcement. Quite a few of them seem to be beyond the practical reach for a lot of Gaia's members, such as "5 Months FREE of DIRECTV’s Best TV package — our best offer ever," as well as the countless insurance offers. Are things once again getting out of hand with Gaia?

Ya know what? I was one of the people, that a couple months ago said this guild was DONE!
Now I look at the offers, AND THEY TOOK OUT THE FREAKING TASK OFFERS*!
*The task offers were not really offers but jobs you do for like $1.00 (100GC) an hour.
Not only that, but that have the same scam/ worthless offers most people have a problem with!
Cable TV, Insurance, Netflicks. . . . Honestly! I would say only about 10% of Gaians actually qualify for those offers! The other 90% are either underage, do not need it (dependent or another family member has it), or they already have it! The rest are scam/spyware surveys! The surveys that do look promising you have to take several other "qualifying" surveys to get to! Those "qualifying" surveys ask for Personal Information! I took one several times to check and after many pages of questions it told me I did not qualify at different points: (answering for the majority of Gaians)
-At the groceries question, I answered I was not responsible for any groceries and was disqualified. (Responsibility for half of them got me passed)
-At the education question, it told me I didn't qualify after answering I only had a high school education (college or higher qualifies).
-At the job question, I answered None of the Above (I choose to only list my dad's job/income and Maintenance is not on the list. (I marked Education the second time and passed)
-AFTER the job question, it asks if anyone in your family works in the movie/film/entertainment industry. I answered None of the Above and was disqualified!
I stopped after the last one. Honestly! How many Gaians do you know that would (truthfully) pass those questions! Most of the ones who do they offers are the younger Gaians who don't know any better and don't qualify for the 18+ service offers!
GAIA CASH OFFERS NEED HELP AGAIN!

I agree with you completely, Xena. I think that the guild needs a call for reactivation! The offers are broken once again!

I do apologize about having brought the guild out of mothballs like this with my thread, Rhi, but I am glad that there was a place to go to talk about this already 3nodding I guess that, although we were done at the time, ours is a mission of eternal vigilance.

Some of the offers I'm getting are very dodgy looking too, like one where you have to be over 35 to qualify for the survey and another was 'Get 1,362 Gaia cash when you book a flight to India using this website!' I mean what the frag!?
Although I do like the feature I have here, I don't know if everyone else has it but I can get 5GC just from watching a short video. Theres 25GC there daily because theres always 5 or 6 vids.
But the survey of the day doesn't work anymore. It asked me to check my flag so I did [UK one] and nothing came up!
Plus the little X in the corner has gone now so we can't report the bad adds!

I noticed the missing X too. I wonder what's going on in the advertising dept over there! You just beat me to it. well I don't know eternal vigilance is a bit long, but I am all for looking over the adverts and warning peaple about the bad ones..
