So I have been thinking of things dealing with this and seeing how you three are the only other people playing this with me I thought that Talking about it would be a good idea. [This is mostly about the Stand Alone GTA Idea]

Before we start I would like to make it clear that I have no problem keeping or changing anything and I am not trying to change anything. What I am doing is asking you three what you think would make things better and what you would enjoy most.
With that being said lets begin.

First Topic : Health

This is not only your health but your enemies health too. I have been doing it where I have about five to ten health and the enemy has about five health. [I'll be talking about damage later.] I have also be going with the idea that you gain health back every three to five rounds, for both parties. Should we keep it at the enemies having five health and the players having ten health [Keep in mind that some enemies can have more/should have more if they are bosses.] and that we should gain health back every three rounds when we are hit with punches or bats but should gain health back from stabs and gun shots every five rounds? Or should we have a set health that we can increase? [If you would like a set health that you can increase please explain how it would work, like how it could increase, like I have done with the skills.]

Second Topic : Damage

Damage has been a thing on my mind for a bit here. I have been going with the idea that damage is 1 point for punches, 2 points for bats, and 5 points for gunshots. I problem with this is it's not perfect, even more so when guns would kill enemies with one shot when we all know guns don't always kill. [This is a part of Health to a point.] The problem is only this.. if we increase there health then to kill someone with punches could take punch after punch of posts. We could always make it so you have to aim before shooting but then we would have the problem that it would take forever too [Seeing how you'd have to post your aiming then post your shooting.] We could always make it a shoot DC 15 does 2 damage and a shoot DC 20 would kill. What do you all think? [And if you have any ideas please bring them up]

Third Topic : Skills

So there is a few things about this I'd like to ask about.
First, does anyone thing the amount you need to do to level up is too much? I have been looking at it and I am on the fence. One point I am looking at it and going 'Crap this is going to take forever' and then I think 'yeah but if it didn't I'd already be leveled up.' Like we could half everything I have already placed but like I said would that be too easy?
Second, should we get a skill point even if we fail? Or maybe a half a point? I think it would be too easy again. On one hand we are using the skill but on the other hand we are failing.
Third, should we get double points if we roll a natural 20? I have rolled a few of them and again I can see problems with both.
If there is anything else you'd like to bring up do so.

Fourth Topic : Death

I came close to getting really beaten up the other day and soon I am going to put that same character into hell. What should we do about death? Should we be like 'Oh he was beaten up by guys so we'll just have them leave him there' or 'Oh he was shot in the street they didn't check his body to see if he was really dead or not' or 'The cops came and saved him before he was shot' I can see sometimes that working. However not every time that would work. I could see if we were in the future we could clone people but we aren't. So should we just go with the GTA world and have a medical team drive in and save you? If so should we be healed right away or be pulled away to recover?

Fifth Topic : Easy Mode

I was also thinking about an Easy, Normal and Hard Mode. It was just an idea and I thought I'd bring it up. If, IF, we did it I was thinking something like Easy Mode would be like DC 10 but you'd need double the points for your skills. Normal mode would be DC 15 and Normal points for your skills. Hard would be a DC 20 but half the amount of points for your skills. Other then that it wouldn't be anything different. I also think you have to pick for each Character you have, or make, and can never change it.

Sixth Topic : DC15

Should everything be DC 15. Like no matter what. Like your trying to spot a man in day light and trying to spot him at night should it stay DC 15 or should it drop or increase on what was happening. Like Day time it could be DC15 because of people, but if there wasn't people should it still be 15 ot should it drop to 10?

Seventh Topic : Combos

Combos are when you hit someone, because they missed their dodge, and then you get to try and hit them again. This also works if you fail your dodge and they are attacking you. Should we keep it like that or should we go punch for punch. I was talking before and I was thinking that if they hit you they wouldn't really let you hit them back. This is why I came up with the combo idea. I also would like to talk about should combos do more damage. Like first punch does 1 damage, the second 2 damage and the third 3 damage. Keep in mind that you can have a combo done to you too. Also should a combo end? Like should I be able to keep hitting you if I can beat your dodge until you are knocked out? And should two combo punches be one round or should they all be one round or should they all be a round each.

Eighth Topic : Time line

Should we put a time line on each thread so that we can keep track of when things get messed up and have it effect everyone on that day? Like I blow up a building should we have it all time lined out so that we could be like 'Did you see that?' the problem to this would be that sometimes people post only like once a week, if that, for some characters and if we all get ahead of that person then they couldn't do anything extreme until they got past us. I do like the idea that we are all linked, kind of why I wanted to do this thing but how would you guys like to this?

Ninth Topic : Jail

If you are attacked by cops should you go to jail? And if so should we go for as long as normal or much less time? Like for example you kill three men and get one year in jail for each. If you all think so then we'd have to come up with charges for everything we could get in trouble for.

Tenth Topic : Level

Should we level up? It could explain more health and could add a +1 per level to any roll however we'd have to come up with an idea on how we level up. Killing people could give us EXP but I could kill fifty people with a bomb and level up a lot.

Eleventh Topic : Posting DC

Sometimes I am not sure what the DC some people are rolling at would be [unless we always had it at DC15 then this isn't important] We would do it at the bottom on our post, we could also have it in white so no one sees unless they go over it.

Twelfth Topic : Upgrade

This would be based off Skills. So Like fighting at level 0-4 You'd do one damage. At 5-9 you'd two damage and so on. If we did this we'd go through all the skills and come up with a list of things each would give you when it was upgraded.

Thirteenth Topic : Missions

Should we have like a mission board? A Place were anyone can post a mission for anyone else to take and be the GM for that Mission.

Fourteenth Topic : Jobs

Should we go into the Jobs people have more, Like if your a taxi driver you have to post about driving a Taxi for a set amount of time for money. Stuff like that...

Fifteenth Topic : Stores

Would you guys want Car stores and Gun store threads so that you can shop at them?

Sixteenth Topic : Birthdays

Should we have Birthdays? The day your character ages. If so should we give them 2 skill points on that day?

Seventeenth Topic : Enemies

Should we make enemies sheets. Like Gang members or whatever? We'd have to talk about the details more however I think if he had a 4 in fighting I'd make is to hit you DC be 14 [10 plus is skill for anything] Let me know what you think.

Eighteenth Topic : City

I was thinking about how we are in Liberty City and how we should probably have a map. So I guess my question is do you all want to be in Liberty City and use a map, or use all the placed in the GTA world [Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas] and the maps for them. Just not use the map and be roughly in Liberty City or would you all like to be in our own City?

Nineteenth Topic : DC 15 Part 2

I have been playing were you have to beat 15 [Meaning get 16.] Do you all want it like that or would you like it where you have to get the DC or higher?

If there is anything else you'd like to talk about please do.
I'd also would like it if when you replied you went 'First Topic : [Then replyed to that one here.]'
I'd also would like everyone to reply and it can't be answers like 'Sure' or 'Yeah that sound good.' I am find with 'I would like to keep it the way it is' or 'I would like it to be changed but I am not smart enough to know how so it may not get fixed.'

I am also going to reply to this but cover it in white so that you can't read it right away. I'd like you to reply to this then read mine. I'd also like you to only reply to one topic at a time when you reply to my person post, but reply to this post as one post. I'd also like you not to read anyone else's post until after you have replied to this one, just like mine.

First Topic : Health

This is one of the real problems in my head. I like the idea of having a set amount of health and I like the idea of having your health increase, however the only thing I can think about to increase heealth would be basing it off one of the already made skills, which one or if we should even do that is something we'd have to talk about but if we really can't find a good way to do it then the way it is now would work for me. [Enemies having five health and Players having ten health]


Second Topic : Damage

I do think each weapon should have it's own amount of damage and that we should talk about how much damage each gun does and also maybe the DC for each gun at different ranges. Like a shotgun at close range is DC5 [Meaning a DC10 would kill] but a shotgun a a larger distance maybe DC20 just to hit.


Third Topic : Skills

First, Like I said, I am on the Fence with this one but the more I think about it the more I want to keep it the same.
Second, I think failing is failing. If you can't do it right then all your learning is wrong. You could go on about how at least you'd know how to do it right but... yeah... I'm a no on this.
Third, I do not care either way. If you all want to do it I'll go with it, if you don't want to do it then we wont. My question to all of you is should we go back and find any Natural 20s and give the person an extra point in that skill.


Fourth Topic : Death

I like the idea that they leave you for dead and you get saved by a medical team [I can't spell the name of the vechule they use... hopefully you all know what I am talking about.] I also think that they should put you into a room, in the hospital, for you to recover and that you have to pay them for their work.


Fifth Topic : Easy Mode

It is a cool idea, this is why I brought it up but I think it would be too much of a pain in the a**.


Sixth Topic : DC15

I think that if your trying to spot something or do something that isn't verusing someone elses DC or isn't easier do to something you already rolled then yes it should be a DC 15 for those but later some things should change.


Seventh Topic : Combos

I love combos. I think that the amount of combos and the damage thing should be put to what we come up with for the upgrade topic. If we don't pick to use the upgrade idea then I think two or three per round. This would only be important if there was more then one enemy. I also think that the combo should be until a dodge stops it.


Eighth Topic : Timeline

I want the timeline idea... we just have to find a way for this to work.


Ninth Topic : Jail

I like the idea of Jail. If you have cops on you and are killed by the cops, or your team [Just so no one gets smart on me and gets his team to kill him to get past this] then you should go to jail, but if the enemy kills you then you should go to the hospital.


Tenth Topic : Level

I do not like the level idea at all... i think it would be too confusing to figure out how you'd get to the next level.


Eleventh Topic : Posting DC

It really matters on what you all think. I am good with posting it and not posting it however if we do post it we have to either make it smaller text or in white. And if we go with the idea everyone has to do it for each post they roll and they have to not only put the DC they are trying to beat but the skill they are going to be using and the bonus they get.


Twelfth Topic : Upgrade

I really like this idea. like we could have it so that if we had a 0 fighting we could do one combo punch per round and do one damage at 5 fighting we could do two combo per round and do one damage and 10 fighting we could do two combo per round and do two damage and so on.
Dodge could increase the amount of people you could dodge in a round. So like 0 would be 1 person, 5 would be 2 people. So like if your being attacked by two guys then you could dodge them both. [Or 5 could be to take some of the damage from the punch off (like in doing half damage even if you fail)]


Thirteenth Topic : Missions

I do like this idea. I would love to have other people post missions, place DCs and be the GM.


Fourteenth Topic : Jobs

I think that this is the only way I am going to be handing out money, besides theft. But yeah... it would need work.


Fifteenth Topic : Stores

I just don't like this idea of doing all that work... but yeah...


Sixteenth Topic : Birthdays

I love this idea...


Seventeenth Topic : Enemies

I also like this idea. I'd need your help to come up with them a bit more but i do like the idea.


Eighteenth Topic : City

I think that we should have a map of Liberty City and the other two places and have buildings circled that we own or that are important.


Nineteenth Topic : DC 15 Part 2

I think that if the DC is 15 then we should have to get 15 or higher.

First Topic: Health, I'm fine with the idea that we have 10 health, not sure how we would increase it outside of Leveling up... health regain I think is fair every 3-5 rounds we regain a point. I have nothing to really add for Health


Topic 2: Damage, I like your idea of the 2 dc's 1 dc is to hurt the other kills...I have nothing else to add


Topic 3: Skills, I don't think the amount you need to level a skill is too much, I think that if we fail we shouldn't get a point simply because we failed, however I do like the Idea of getting double points for a critical success


Topic 4: Death I like the Idea of a medical team coming and saving you, I think they should take you away to the hospital


topic 5: easy mode, I think we should just leave it the way it is..

Topic 6: Dc 15, I really think that the Dc should be situational...if your looking for a guy wearing dark clothing it should be harder to see him then if your looking for a guy who is wearing fluorescent Pink on a bright sunny day


Topic 7: Combos I'm ok with your idea if you can beat their dodge or if they fail a dodge I think doing a combo makes sense and Vice versa... I think it should be a round by round thing so your opponent has a chance to dodge after you attack or if you fail your attack


Topic 8: Time line, Not sure how we would be able to incorporate it, I think you should just keep doing it on your one news thread


Topic 9 Jail time, I'll be honest I don't want to do it just because I really don't want to think of all the crimes we could do and serve time for

Topic 10: Level, Maybe we could get a certain amount of exp for completing missions? instead of getting exp for killing people

Topic 11 razz osting DC, I do like the Idea of putting the dc in the bottom corner in white..


Topic 12: upgrade, I like this Idea, it would take a while for us to level our attack, so I think we should try and implement this


Topic 13: Missions, a mission board sounds kinda fun...I'll get back to you on this, I can't think of anything else to say...


Topic 14: jobs, Maybe have this in a separate thread? I like the idea though

Topic 15: stores I like this when we had this for star wars so Yeah I think you keep with this in a separate thread

Topic 16:Birthdays I have no real opinion on birthdays I'm cool with it I'm cool without it


Topic 17: Enemies, I think Making Character sheets for enemies would be a pain, but if you wanted to do it for reference so you wouldn't always have to keep it in your head that would make sense


Topic 18: City, I like being in Liberty city myself, but I think it would be cool if he had to interact with the other cities...For example we had to travel to vice city to stop a drug deal from happening or something like that

topic 19: Dc 15 Pt 2, I've always like Meet or beat better then just beat

I understand what you are saying but what I meant was... you know what I'll explain it this way.

Bill is attacking Fred. Bill punches Fred and Fred fails his dodge. Bill punches Fred and goes for a second punch that Fred tried but again fails to dodge. [In short Every Round Fred fails his dodge.]
However now John goes to help Fred. So it's two on one, Bill vs Fred and John. So Bill is punching away on Fred and Fred keeps failing his dodge. So should it be like this : Bill punches, Fred Dodges [Fails], John Punches at Bill [Bill would get a Dodge and if he fails he loses his combo with Fred but if he dodges he can keep it going] or should it be : Bill punches, Fred Dodges [Fails], Bill punches, Fred Dodges [Fails], John now punches.

First... I'm Lazy!
Second... The problem would be Tammy and you are going to go down town, however at that time Bryant and I, who had done this a month ago, blow up a building in that area. This wouldn't be a problem you'd just go "That Building is blown up". However Reverse that. Bryant and I were in that area a month ago and you and Tammy blow something up. Bryant and I would have noticed it but because you two are behind us it would start getting confusing. See what I am saying?

We could pick the most used ones, like Murder, Assault, Grand Theft Auto. We'd do it as a group like this thread. So yeah, does that make things any better?

Second I have already done the only mission to be finished.
And there is always different levels of missions. Easy to hard missions.

First Topic : Health
Your health system sounds good, we should go with it. The damage recovery should mostly work on punching or bat damage though, gun shots are a little harder to heal... sweatdrop

Second Topic : Damage
You idea for damage is good for punches and bats, but I prefer your second idea for gun damage.

Third Topic : Skills
The skill set up you have is good, but if you manage to roll a natural 20 you should get double points for that roll alone.

Fourth Topic : Death
I think for the fairness of everything we should have it that once you're unconscious, you should be pulled away by a medical team and healed, then you start off at the hospital. Your body can be left until the battle is over, then the medical team gets there... but whatever

Fifth Topic : Easy Mode
The modes sound good, normal mode be optimal, but if someone wanted to give themselves more of a challenge, they could play "hard mode", but if they want to play for fun, they can use "easy mode"

Sixth Topic : DC15
I agree with DC15, sounds fair, but not impossible, but still gives you that challenge

Seventh Topic : Combos
Would be cool if you managed to pull off a melee combo... so I think it'd be a neat addition

Eighth Topic : Time line
Time line with lack of internet for some people would be difficult and some people may get done their "missions" quicker than others, so it's complicated.

Ninth Topic : Jail
Major jail time should only be for major crimes, petty crimes like theft of stuff under $1000 should just be left out, major crimes deserve a jail sentence

Tenth Topic : Level
Sounds good with the stat increase is good, but more exp for blowing up lots of people sounds cheap... not sure how to fix it

Eleventh Topic : Posting DC
I like the DC15 part...

Twelfth Topic : Upgrade
Upgrades sounds interesting, but I'za don't know about it, sounds confusing

Thirteenth Topic : Missions
you said we already have a mission board... so sweatdrop

Fourteenth Topic : Jobs
we could try jobs, but it ties in with timeline sort of, because of the days and whatnot, so I'd say optional

Fifteenth Topic : Stores
Yes, threads for main stores would be good, that way we know what we can buy

Sixteenth Topic : Birthdays
This kinda ties in with timeline, and I understand how lazy we are for it, so I would say, don't worry about it

Seventeenth Topic : Enemies
We should have "staple" or "generic" enemies, but for more challenging enemies we could have separate sheets.

Eighteenth Topic : City
Doesn't matter... made up city or liberty city or one of the GTA cities (from the games)

Nineteenth Topic : DC 15 Part 2
I like the beat DC15, meet it doesn't cut it. Makes it a little more challenging, but still do-able

That is why it would take longer to recover gun shot damage. We could also go with the idea that 1 damage takes three rounds to heal. 2 damage takes four rounds to heal 1 point of it. 3 damage takes five rounds to heal 1 point of it. Or we could go you heal 1 point every three rounds so to heal a gun shot that did five damage would take 15 rounds.

I have done it a few times already. I used a bat and hit the guy then hit again killing him.

Internet doesn't mean anything. We couldn't use real time only game time but the hard part would be if someone does like seven missions before everyone else and is a year ahead and then everyone else starts blowing s**t up that would have made it easier, or header for the first guy. We'd just have to work something out if we did this.

Okay lets say you stole a car or kill someone, are you telling me that you'd be okay with your character spending ten game years in jail?

But Tammy if I kill ten people should I not get the EXP for killing Ten people? Lets sat 10 exp per person killed or beaten. If i kill ten people that is 100 EXP if I place a bomb in a building with Seventy people should I not get 700 EXP?

Re-Read the question.
I was asking if we should Post what DC we were using at the bottom of the post. I know you are for always using DC15 however if a guy is five feet from me and I have a shotgun pointed at him why is my DC still 15?
