The rain continued to pour out for the night. The long downpour resonated the rattling of leaves and branches throughout the forest. The moon obscured by the clouds, thankful of no storms or lightning, a single red female laid under a thick lining of tree branches, resting and trying to stay dry in this downpour.

A small, young unikalona mare slowly made her way along a small dirt path. The dirt was now mud that stuck to the mare's hooves and caused her hooves and legs to feel heavier than usual. Morana had mud splattered over her white fur from her stomach down from where she had been running. The mud had a mixture of blood in it and bright, red blood covered the mare's muzzle from where she had just finished her meal. Rain smacked against the mare's fur, causing her soaked mane to stick to her neck.
The mare let out a low growl as she looked around. Rain was an annoying thing when the young mare wanted to find a meal. Morana looked around and sighed softly, her pupilless eyes focusing on a figure in the distance.

"Why do i feel like I'm being watched?" she mutered to herself, her eyes focusing outward to another figure in the distance, the rain obscuring her sight and smell as well. "Hello? Anyone out there?" she called out.

Morana eyed the mare as her ears spun towards the feathered mare's voice when she spoke up. The young unikalona snarled as her wings folded neatly to her sides. As she grew closer to the red and purple mare, she smirked and looked her over quickly. "Hm... don't you know it is unsafe to be out by yourself?" She asked in a sweet voice. How was it that she could have such vicious thoughts, but act so sweet? What was wrong with her? Morana blamed her kalona father for mating with the weak uni mare...

"Aside from dripping wet like you?" she muttered to her sharply with suspicion. That look alone pretty much warned her on who and what she was, a Kalona...or at least half a Kalona.

Her pupilless eyes gleamed in the sunlight as she stared straight at the mare with an odd little smile. Slowly, the small unikalona approached the other mare and looked her over closely. Nothing about her seemed to be strong. "Is something the matter, mare? You seem tense." Morana couldn't help but giggle madly at the question.

"Aside from the look that's screaming you're going to eat me?" she replied, raising an eyebrow to her standing straight up to her. Standing her ground and defending it.

The unikalona licked her maw then shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not sure what you are talking about." Morana smiled then began to circle the mare. Her pupilless eyes watched the other mare closely as she smirked and looked for weak spots. "I wouldn't eat a mare like you... you are far too dirty."

"Are you sure about that?" the female asked as she kept a good look to her. Keeping herself centered, her eyes keeping watch of the Kalona's venomous...or more likely, rather hungry gaze.

Morana let her pure white gaze rest on the mare for a moment as her tail smacked against the earth at an odd rhythm. "As sure as one like myself could get." She stifled a giggle and shrugged her shoulders as she took a relaxed position. This mare was no threat to her.

At least that was a comfort. She wouldn't get eaten. "and what brings you here?" she asked the Kalona. "I'm Raven." she replied, at least she would try to know who this one was.

The unikalona mare leaned against a nearby tree, finding it to be the best shelter from the rain at the moment. "I came here to seek shelter from the horrid rain." Her spaded tail smacked against the ground at an odd rhythm. She stared at the other, refusing to offer her name to the other. Why would this Raven mare need to know her name?

So much for being...friendly. That was a bit of a botched mess. Guess the percieved notions of anything kalona, or half kalona still meant they were asses, mostly. "dun like the rain huh?"
