My husband will be deploying December/January. This will be his second deployment in as many years. This time though I will have the added stress of moving while he is gone. I love my husband but I'm finally starting to understand why many spouses consider deployment a 'vacation' from each other. We are both looking forward to it. Him for the extra money, me for the subtraction of stress that he causes me. Our daughter is older and will remember him this time so it will be harder on her this time around but I know she will be fine. Anyone else have a spouse/family member who has recently or will soon deploy?

Gotta love the in laws lol. I'm just glad he got this tasking instead of the previous one they were going to give him. He would have been gone for 3 months for training then deploy from his training spot for 6 months then keep him another month for something that I can't remember. I don't think we could have coped with a year apart.

Tomorrow is our last day together before he leaves. sad So not only do I have to deal with the stress of moving while he is gone, my mother and two youngest siblings might be coming to live with us. Once again he is leaving behind many things that he should have taken care of before he left. Planning on enjoying tomorrow as much as possible however. At least this go round he's leaving after his birthday and getting back before our daughter's.
