Our shire-type yearling had her second (my hubby has corrected me, I thought this was her first one) farrier appointment. For her first farrier visit, she had to be lassoed (sp?). This time, she had a little bit of a startle reaction to the tools, but she settled down very quickly and let him do his work without any problems.
Oh, and her feathers have started to climb up her legs and flare out a bit. She's looking a lot more Shire-like with the feathers. n.n;;
I'm so relieved that it went well, her hooves really needed the work and now we can have regular appointments with our farrier.
