I admittedly swoon over the music in both games. I mean, obviously, some are better than others, but I think they're all just magnificent. The different instruments, the mood, the feel, and just the way they really complement the place they're played. (Although I have to say that while playing GS, I got so annoyed after hearing the sad town music so much, i.e. the one they play in Lalivero. I think they played it in Bilibin and Kolima, if I'm not mistaken. Then, when everything's solved, back to happy music!)
But I digress.
Anyway, let's discuss the music here. I have to say right off the bat that one of my favorite pieces is the one from the main menu of GS. As we all know, that's the music that plays when we're copying down the password for the transfer, so I got very well acquainted with that piece. Hehe.

I'm quite fond of that menu music myself, as well as both title themes.
As for battle themes, Jenna's is my favorite.
I like the overworld music once the two parties have joined in TLA, and I absolutely adore the music in Venus and Mars lighthouses.

Yes! I was just about to mention the second world map music in TLA. I haven't heard it in a while, but I can remember how awesome it was. I think someone once described it as expressing the magnitude of their quest at that point in their journey.

Favourite themes of mine would have to be: Tundaria Tower, Lama Temple, Venus Lighthouse, Jupiter Lighthouse, Aqua Rock, Gaia Rock, Air's Rock, Magma Rock, Star Magician battle theme, Saturos and Menardi's battle theme, Jenna's battle theme, Isaac's battle theme, Felix's battle theme, and the theme that plays inside the chamber where the Elemental stars reside.
And also that theme that plays when leaving Atteka when Sheba talks about wanting to find her family, and then again atop Mars Lighthouse when Jenna thinks her parents are going to die. Such a simple tune, yet it tugs at my heartstrings...

I loved the end credit music in TLA, the password transfer menu music, Mars Lighthouse, Tundaria Tower, Gambomba Catacombs, Jenna and Issac's fight music, The boss battle music in TLA, Sentinel's fight music (which is the first games boss music). etc.
I HATED THE MUSIC IN THE CAVES IN THE FIRST GAME (respectively, Suhalla Gate, etc in TLA). I have to turn the sound off when i'm in those areas because its so unsettling.

Yeah, about the only track I disliked was the story-telling song in Yallam. 
Gosh, where to begin on my favorites, though?
Isaac's Battle Theme, Felix's Battle Theme, Venus Lighthouse, Jupiter Lighthouse, Mars Lighthouse, Aqua Rock, TLA Boss theme, TLA 2nd Overworld theme, Tundaria Tower, Ivan's Theme, Garoh, Prox, TLA credits, and that song that begins playing in the scene after the credits.
I also actually liked Agatio and Karst's themes more than Saturos and Menardi's.

There are so many, but one that stands out is Taopo Swamp. Whatever is playing then, I really like.
Mikasalla's theme song is nice, and is Garoh's.
And Air's Rock.

This is Alone. Honestly, it's a really sad song, but it reminded me of this music box my grandma had, so I loved it.
