These are just a few ides for some. I am planing on altering them to fit the world better later on.Just tell me what you think. I will also provide links to some of them them.
This one is about a black dog in the mountains. If you see it once it is for joy. You see it twice it is for sorrow. You see it three times you will die.
linkThis one is about a old crow who would fly north to south. And bring tales of daylight to a tribe who lived in darkness. Eventually they convinced him to bring them daylight. After flying north the crow found the tribe that held a orb that contained daylight. After stealing the orb the crow brought it back to the south, and smashed it. Lighting up the sky.
linkBaba Yaga is a hag, who flies through the air in a mortar, using the pestle as a rudder and sweeping away the tracks behind her with a broom made of silver birch. She lives in a log cabin that moves around on a pair of dancing chicken legs, aand is surrounded by a palisade with a skull on each poles, or both.
linkSirens were dangerous bird-women, portrayed as seductresses who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island Later folklore as fully aquatic and mermaid-like creatures.
linkMost accounts of the Jersey Devil legend attribute the creature to a "Mother Leeds", a supposed witch, although the tale has many variations. According to one version, she invoked the devil while giving birth to her 13th child, and when the baby was born, it either immediately or soon afterwards transformed into a devil like creature and flew off into the surrounding pines.
linkI am still looking for folk tales that will actually work. These are the only two that I have found so far. I still need to fix a few things in them. I'm probably going to have to just use ideas from folklore.
I'm only going to look for a few more, before I start to alter them to fit the rp. If you have any ideas for folklore that will fit the lore, myths, races, etc... that we already have please tell me. I will love to hear them.
