Clouds had covered this part of Ranothor for the past week, an omen of rain for the first few days. However, more people were expecting a storm rather than a regular old rain, due to the same cloud cover staying in place. It was as if the sky was a canvas, and the clouds had been painted, never to move.
Though, that wasn't to say that all had wisely stayed out of the clouds. Amongst the ever growing darker shapes was a silver streak, marring the beauty that nature had poised in the sky. Soon, the silver streak began to drop, and the closer it got the ground, one could see the distinct features of the hybrid wyrm that neared the white sands of the beach. A mane of green-blue ran from his head down to his tail, and, clenching onto said mane, was a young man of about fifteen.
When the first of Haku's four feet hit the loose sand, Aran's smile faded from his face. No wings, no anything that should propel him, and yet Haku defied gravity on almost a daily basis. Haku finished landing, sending sand soaring through the air in a wave like the similar gray liquid crashing on the grains of sand. "That was fun." He said, running one of his hands over his wyrm's silver/white scales.
That it was. Haku said, one of his long whiskers poking at Aran's side. Aran smiled, tugging at the whisker gently.

Sighing lightly, the fire Wyrm watched the sky. It looked like it would storm soon, yet it never did. Or has, yet.... Whatever. His ice blue eyes looked over at Sapheria, who was rather over-joyed at the up-coming storm. She always got joyous before a storm. Strange, really.... Sapheria's golden Blonde hair pulled over her shoulders gently with a passing breeze, Ice blue eyes dancing with her mood. They truely were a strange sight: a usually happy Fire Wyrm that was now glaring at the storm clouds above, and his normally shy and timid Bonder who was now humming a wordless song and twirling in time with it. Strange, no? Altan looked back at his Bonder, smiling softly. He was glad she wasn't being her extremely shy self and having fun.

Haku stiffened, his ears pinning against the back of his narrow head. His eyes went to slits, causing Aran to begin to worry. The merman picked at one of Haku's scales, surprised that the usually annoying habit of his didn't even make the hybrid blink. "What is it? Danger?" Aran asked quietly, his vibrant greenish blue eyes searching the beach for anything that might cause his bond alarm.

There's another nearby. I don't like it. Haku replied, his head turning farther inland, towards the other if Aran was to have his guess.

The dark-haired boy chuckled. "So there's another wyrm nearby and that makes you uncomfortable? Who is it?" He asked, aware that Haku was turning towards where he'd been looking. There was no reply from the water/wind wyrm; he hadn't expected there to be. "Haku?"

I'm not sure.Haku said, whipping off towards the others as fast as he could, which was fairly fast due to his wind blood from his father's side of the family. He paused close enough to see the other wyrm, his whiskers whipping around wildly. Fire. Male. His mental voice, normally smooth and calm was snarling, or extremely close to it.

Sapheria started to hum another song, but as she twirled she fell flat on her back. Hey... She stared at the cloudy sky, staring at it for a good moment or two before Altan noticed she'd fallen.

~|You okay?|~ He asked, looking over his shoulder at her. "I wish the sky would clear.... It's hard to stargaze with clouds." This took the Fire Wyrm by surprise. ~|Saph... It's day time....|~ The Golden-haired girl looked at her Wyrm. "I know." Altan shook his head lightly, amazed at how she was acting. ~|Are you alright? Or did you hit your head when you fell?|~ That took her a moment or so to answer to. "No I did- Hey!!"

The Fire Wyrm grinned, looking back up at the sky. In the very back of his mind, his senses were telling him someone was close. But he shook it off, thinking it was Sapheria.

Sapheria looked up at the clouds, sighing lightly and guessing she'd just see what she could make outta the clouds. Her imagination began to fly as she made out all kinds of things from the cloud shapes. CLoud gazing is fun. ^^.

Haku growled to himself, muttering something incomprehensible beneath audibility through their bond. Aran didn't bother asking. He watched the girl fall, talking to herself as she gazed upwards. Please, Aran, don't. Haku's voice pleaded, but Aran was already calling out.

"Hail, stranger!" Aran said, leaning forward on Haku's back to look at the girl and her, he assumed, bonded wyrm. I'm sorry, Haku. he said, but was met by a block. Aran growled, mentally bashing against Haku's blockade. He was greeted by a headache. Before he breached Haku's thought, the male shaken his body, almost sending Aran off and into the air for a flight of his own. When Haku settled back down, Aran tugged back on his white tunic, and then on his black vest. "What was that for?" He asked quietly.

You know well enough. I do not want to talk to a fire wyrm.

"Then you aren't allowed to contact Thyra again." Aran said quietly, feeling the entire length of Haku stiffen beneath him. "Didn't think so."

She is a hybrid like myself. That is another matter.

"Excuses."

No.

"Yes."

Silence, boy.

Having Haku call him that made Aran flinch. It was his turn to put up a block against his wyrm as he slid off Haku's back, anger flashing in his eyes.

At the sound of a voice, Sapheria picked up her head to look at where it origionated from at the same time as Altan looked over his shoulder at them. ~|Guess my sense /was/ picking up someone...|~ "And you didn't tell me?!" ~|I thought it was you....|~

Sighing, Sapheria picked herself up from the ground, dusting herself off as she looked over to see a Water Wyrm and, supossidly, his Bonded. Still affected by the 'Storm-Happy Sickness' as Altan had called it before, Sapheria smiled at both and waved. "Greetings, Stranger." She called to the duo.

The Fire Wyrm, now interested, turned away from the sky he had been studying and looked over the pair with Icy blue eyes. Altan gave a short sigh, looking at his Bonded like she had gone mad.

~|I'm starting to miss the old you....|~ That comment made the girl fall over. Standing up, she raised an eye brow at Altan. "I thought you wanted me more social." The Fire Wyrm sighed. ~|I did...|~

Though he normally wasn't the most social of creatures, Aran walked towards the other pair. If nothing else, he was doing this to spite Haku, though he shouldn't take it out on another humanoid. As he approached he gave a half-bow, looking back up at the girl after a moment. He spoek not, waiting for her name first.

Sapheria gave a half-bow, having a feeling if she bowed the whole way she'd fall. Again. She looked at the other, smiling. "You can call me Sapheria, and this is Altan." She gestured to the Fire Wyrm when saying his name.

Altan looked away, not liking this. He didn't like the storm, or the fact Sapheria was interacting with others while under the Storm Sickness of hers. Oh well. It couldn't be helped now.

The Fire one is acting shifty a little bit. Haku noticed, breaking their silence. Can we use aliases or something until we're sure we can trust them? He pleaded queitly, careful not to broadcast to the others.

I suppose, if you really want it. Aran replied, their fight already forgotten. "I am Waryn, and the recluse is Koi'ku." He said, using two name supplied by Haku that had several variations. Be darned if any inn knew his real name could he afford it, and hopefully even less saw him as a merman rather than a normal human.

Sapheria smile twitched, and she nodded. "O...kay. Pleased to meet you." The girl's smile faded slightly as she looked up at the sky. The moment of silence afterward was starting to bother her, so she deliberately fell backwards, wincing a bit as her head jostled.

Altan cast a glace at her. ~|You hit your head, didn't you?|~ "....." ~|Didn't you?|~ "Shut up, Altan." Sapheria muttered, reaching back and rubbing the sore spot on her head. The Fire Wyrm's eyes glittered in amusement.

'Waryn' gave a small bow, nodding. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well. As she fell, he started forward. "Are you okay?" He asked, noticing her mumbling to herself. "Sapheria?" He asked, aware that 'Koi'ku' had come to stand behind him.

Not to be rude or anything, but it's going to storm soon. You know what happens when you're caught in the rain. Maybe we should get flames and the ditz and get out of here. He said silently to his bonded, nudging his shoulder.

Be polite. She's not a ditz. He snapped back, glaring up out of the corner of his eye. "Miss, it's about to rain." He informed her.

Sapheria rubbed her head sorely again. Owwie, she fell harder then she thought... Damn rock. Yes.. blame the rock. She looked up at 'Waryn' with her Ice blue eyes held a look of curiousity. And the twinge of pain. "....I like the rain. Don't you?" With that, she looked up at the clouds. Yes... They were darker now, weren't they?

Altan looked up at the sky with his own ice blue eyes. Strange, that they both have the same eye-hue. Err... No matter! He looked at the grey-ing clouds with distaste, before looking at 'Waryn' and 'Koi'ku' with general confused expressions. ~|So what if it rains?|~ He pondered a'loud.

Waryn shook his head. "I hate it. Just like I'd hate a lady like yourself to be caught out in the middle of it. Imagine if you caught cold, I'd feel horrid." He was being far more eloquent than natural, but he was trying to get out of this without seeming like he was covering something up.

Koi-ku shook his head at his bonded, one of his whiskers seizing Waryn's wrist. Us. Leave. Now. He said bluntly to his bonded alone, adding afterwards, It doesn't matter if they come or not.

Sapheria slowly stood up, using Altan's shoulder as help. She got a feeling in her stomache(through the hyperness) about a few things. Damn feelings, go away. The rain was gonna start soon. How could she tell? Hyperness was starting to drain. She looked at Altan with an unspoken question: 'Should we?'

Altan looked down at her, unsure how to anwser the question. Sure, they had only met them..... Okay, that was a bad fact. ~|Only if you want to, Saph...|~ He answered with a defeated sigh.

Sapheria smiled at him, then looked at Waryn. "Okay, we'll go."
