Prelude
Tears started to form in the boy's eyes as he tried to out run the monsters close behind him. He had to make it to the hide. He just had to. The bag he had slung around his shoulder was important, a message from the general to the captain of his squad. If he could just reach him in time, the humans might be able to win this war. A blue energy blast hit the ground beside his feet. The boy jumped side ways just in time. He made it out of the of the bombs small blast radius just in time. Some more shots were fired and the boy found himself jumping, ducking, and rolling around. The boy got up and ran into the heavy metal door of the base. He threw his whole weight into it. It flung open and he fell inside. With out thinking the boy slammed the door shut. "Captain, the general sent me back! He has a plan to~" He stopped in mid sentence unable to comprehend the scene before him. There was blood everywhere. The bodies of the officers lay limply on the ground, their eyes wide with frozen terror, same as the boy's. He tried to hold his building fears and sorrows back but all he could think of was his home, his mother who was ill, his father who had died some time before he ran away, and his older brother who was waiting at home and trying to keep everything running. 'I want to go home.' He kept thinking as he scanned the room for the captain’s body. "Za..Zander?" said a women voice from the far corner of the room. The boy wiped around to see his friend sitting against the wall, holding her stomach. "Lt. Marsh!" He shouted in relief as he stared to run over to her. Her weak and disconnected expression suddenly turned panicked and desperate. "GET OUT OF HERE!!!" Lt. Marsh screamed. Zander stopped in confusion. It only took a few seconds for him to realize the enemy was still in the room. It only took seconds for him to hear the evil chuckle, turn around, and look up at the hideous humanoid creature grinning down at him. It only took seconds for the creature to grab Zander by the neck and lifted him off the floor. The beast was strong, too strong. It's ugly greenish skin smelled like rotten flesh and dried blood. The stench alone was enough to choke Zander. The creature was just one of an army that waited outside. All at once Zander knew he had made a mistake. The tears that he was holding back flowed freely down his cheeks as he gasped for air. A pistol sounded and the shot hit the demon's arm, it roared in annoyance but the lieutenant kept shooting, trying to get it to let go of Zander. He didn't deserve to die out here. Not like this, not the sweet kid from the Neutral Zone who thought he could do some good. She couldn't let him die but the beast would let go. It turned to her, smiled psychotically, and roared a horribly, angry, defining roar. The demon's muscles flexed and a loud cracking sound rang through the room. Zander stopped struggling. His arm fell limply to his side. His face was frozen in shocked fear. "NOOOO!" The lieutenant screamed in sorrow and anger. The demon swung itself down from the ceiling, dropping Zander's body on the floor. "You…you b*****d!!!" The demon lunged at her and she emptied her gun.
Outbreak is a sci-fi role-play set in the world of Ecoterra. A few years back a team of scientists was working on a new biological weapon that would kill the enemy in the most way. What they created was a mutagenic virus that distorted the body and dissolved the mind. The virus was powerful and fast acting but didn't live long. They scientists toiled away in their lab, trying to perfect the virus but one of them crack the containment unit. The virus spread through half the country, mutating and killing the citizens. The ones that survive were turned into monsters that were mindless and rampaged the land. Though the virus died out the people infected became carriers. Their bites are poisonous and can paralyze the victim or slowly kill them. If the infected or "Demon" wanted to turn into one of them it would drag you to a secluded place and cocoon you in a crystal like substance. It takes 9 days to turn completely, 9 very painful days. Though most demons are mindless goons some retain their humanity. These can demons control the weak minded ones if they wanted to. The more human the demon looks the more human the demon acts.
Ok, so here are the rules. We have two sets to follow. There's 3 if you count the rp ones as a separate set. Ok rules for the game
Rules for the Game
1) No marry-sues, no one likes them so please try not to play one
2) No god-moding of any kind
3) Do not kill another player's character with out permission
4) No f-bombs. This is a pg-13 website people(unless the rating of the site changed....)
5) Pm me your profile and if you want a high ranking character you must ask me.
6) If you have problems with a player take it outside the forums. I have zero tolerance for ranters and flamers.
7) Keep the humor realistic. Don't drop a piano on your characters head. It's funny to me but your charry is sol if that happens.
8 ) Romance is very welcome so please, fall in love. However take the smexing up some where else. No one wants to read that. It taints the young minds that logon to Gaia. It really does...
9) Try to have fun and get along with everyone. Remember this is just s game and don't take any in-game insults personally. Just to warn my charries tend to call people names a lot.
10) If any rule is broken you will get a strike and a pm from me. A nasty one. So follow the rules. 3 strikes and you're out of here.
11) Under subject, when you pm me your profile, type "And the world will turn to ash..." to show you read the rules
Rules for Humans
1) Humans don't have powers. Sorry but they don't.
2) Don't be shy about having a sword. Though this world is high-tech there are still sword fights. It's the preferred close combat weapon.
3) A soldier will have to have a rank.
4) Civilians can have weapons too and can join the army at any time.
5) Girls are equal in this world. I mean as equal as they are in the real world. So girls can be in the army.
6) Demons hate humans so don't freak if a demon attacks you or insults you.
Rules for Demons
1) Demons always look different then humans. For example, let’s say a demon girl look perfectly normal anatomically however her hair and skin is blue.
2) Elf pics are ok but still considered a demon. In fact any humanoid mythical creature is playable but still considered a demon
3) Remember you were once human and technically you still are, you're just sick (as in coughing sick not sick and twisted)
4) Demons aren't terrible strong. They're stronger then the average man but that's about it.
5) Demons are not immortal. Sorry guys but if you shot enough time you're going down.
6) I expect that a lot of people will want a "Demon" character with a high social rank. You have to ask me.
