Computer And Video games have recently reported some information which could be the first major clue to the location of the next Grand Theft Auto. As we should have learned by now, all of this information should be taken as speculation only until it's officially confirmed, however any news is useful, so feel free to have a look at this.
While the Italian-American hijinks present in the Grand Theft Auto series have an undeniable appeal, the patriots in us tingle at the thought of some more UK-centric action.
According to PSM, a Rockstar rep has revealed that the next generation GTA will be set in Europe, with a total of 6 cities featured in the game. The mag also states that the game will be officially unveiled at this year's E3 show and will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive.
Interestingly, PSM also suggests that GTA4 will be released as early as the end of this year, alongside the PS3 itself. The mag writes that a "proper" GTA is released every two years, and speculates that 2006 is ripe for the next-gen sequel.
What with the GTA developer being located here in good old Blighty, it's only a matter of time before Europe gets the full-on GTA treatment. As for whether there's any truth to the rumour though, we only have to wait a few months to find out.

I don't think GTA should be set in Europe im from the UK and we don't have gang crime like US it wouldn't suit UK I think they should just keep the series in America and maybe have just 6 cities that are known for gang crime like L.A

MozYa I don't think GTA should be set in Europe im from the UK and we don't have gang crime like US it wouldn't suit UK I think they should just keep the series in America and maybe have just 6 cities that are known for gang crime like L.A I agree with that. In fact, I would be happy if they put the 3 cities of San Andreas, Vice City, and Liberty city all in one game, with a new character and new missions. And, if they could, throw in one more city. That'd be the 6 right there. And, it would rock. The only problem I see is keeping a good variety into the missions.

Yea that would be awesome but like you say the variety of missions in going to run thin. Maybe we should get a thread of Original mission ideas and send Rockstar the best ideas we have. Although original it would have to be believable. Even if it wasn't going to Rockstar i reckon it would be fun to hear some peoples ideas anyway.

makes sence in a way, they pretty much have done what needs to be done. Personaly, why not just make a next gen modern GTA3? especiaslly using the PS3's tech at their fingertips.

Chrisb319 makes sence in a way, they pretty much have done what needs to be done. Personaly, why not just make a next gen modern GTA3? especiaslly using the PS3's tech at their fingertips. if it was just liberty city then it would be boring, no map to learn and stuff like that.

He never said he didnt like it. And there was a GTA in europe, an expansion for number 2. London: 1964.

GTA in Europe? HMMM gun crime isn't common and you hardly find gun shops here. Can you image the tower of London or the Eiffel Tower in the background?
