 "Kaien!" Hotaru cried. "Kaien, where are you? You said you'd fight me." She grimaced. All that practice practice practice with Toushirou, and stupid Kaien wasn't even anywhere to be seen.
She stalked off in search of him, still calling. She'd have this fight. And she'd win.

 Kaien grinned from where he was hiding in a thicket behind his baby sister. It was kinda cute how she wanted to beat him to a pulp. And he was aware that he had what their dad referred to sarcastically as a "sister complex."
Picking his moment, he launched himself at little Hotaru.EDIT: Kaien's HP at the end of the first 3 moves: 8

"Yeaargh!" Hotaru shouted as she managed to smack Kaien with her tail when he tried to pounce her. Her joy was short lived as she missed her next two attacks and he even managed to hit her right on back. "Hold still and let me hit you!" she snapped. This was not how this fight was supposed to go.

Kaien winced as he was smacked by her tail, but he managed to get a good swipe at her back. Through the pain, he grinned a little. "But it's no fun if I'm your chew toy. 'Sides, you won't really win if you beat me up while I stand still."
Another smack moved to connect with him, and as he attempted to dodge, he tried to hit back.

Hotaru ignored the pain in her back - it was just a scratch, neither of them were experienced enough to do very much damage - but it still slowed her enough that she missed once more. But this time, this time... yes! She smiled as one of her blows connected and danced back before he managed to retaliate.

Kaien winced as one of her blows connected again. Damn. Hotaru-chan was getting really good. He danced away and tried once again to make a swipe at her, to at least keep her on her toes.

Good thing Kaien had dodged. Not that it had been strictly necessary. Seeing a gap, he moved to exploit it on the off-chance that it actually worked.

elfstar89 Kaien moved to block Hotaru. He'd gotten her good, but if she hit again, he'd have to concede to her. And that was kind of embarrassing.

Ow, geeze! Stupid Kaien had scratched her up pretty good when he tried to block her attack. Stupid jerk. She wasn't going to cry though. She was better than that.
She stepped back. "I'll beat you next time," she said evenly. And she would. She knew she would. She'd show him!
