Well I just got a really cool turntable for christmas, and also salvaged all my parents old vinyl which they were going to sell. Anyhoo I have found myself listening to things that I probablly never would have if I hadn't had my turntable. I've been listening to some great stuff like, Elvis Costello and The Attractions, Blondie, and Simon and Garfunkle. Stuff I would never have even thought about going and getting on cd. I've also gone out and bought some cool stuff for myself too, some David Bowie, and Beatles, and my pride and joy the Gorillaz self titled album.
Anyway I really like the whole look and feel of vinyl, and I think the sound is a whole lot better overall

Very nice. I like everything you have listed there. I've heard that Sony has a system that will burn your records onto CD, but haven't looked into it yet. That would be nice because I have a lot of vinyl and nothing to play it on (plus I'm afraid of hurting them).

Yah, most modern turntables have RCA outputs so's you run 'em through a fade mixer. Even so there's so many cord end converters out ther, t'wouldn't be hard to jury rig up whatever was there. heart
I was given a repressing of an old Velvet Underground album a while bak, and thought All my christmasses had come at once. New Vinyl! *fainteth*

Nice I was going to buy White Light White Heat the other day, some rare import made on some rare coloured vinyl or something. Not sure what stopped me from getting it. I think it was I couldn't decide between it or The White Album. I think if Abbey Road had've been there I would have gotten that but it wasn't so I couldn't decide. I went to a second hand store instead and ended up getting Blondie, Eat to the Beat, and David Bowie doing Bertold Brecht's Baal

hehehe too bad we didn't get around to listening to it when I was over.
Went vinyl shopping again, and found a really cool used records shop, with a guy who is really friendly. Ended up getting Bowie's The Man Who Sold The World, "Heroes" and John Lennon's Imagine.
I still gotta hunt down Abbey Road, and George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. Those, along with NIN's The Fragile. I will not rest until I have them on vinyl. twisted

I've been buying quite a bit lately. Let's see. Last week I got Ziggy Stardust, the week before I bought an original pressing of Sgt. Peppers. My parents bought me Bay City Rollers for some bizarre reason. I've recently bought Hey Jude, and The White Album . I got Bowie's Low and "Heroes" finally. George Harrison's Cloud Nine, John Lennon's Imagine. Another Monty Python Record (which is damn funny, but not as funny as The Contractural Obligation Album) and I also got Simply Red's Picture Book, and Alice Cooper's Welcome To My Nightmare, neither of which I have gotten around to listening to yet.
It seems the large majority of vinyl I'm buying is stuff that my parents had when I was younger and ended up selling at a garage sale (Without telling me, and thus selling my favourite record, the extremely hard to find, and probablly not even available on CD, The Rutles)

The Rutles! I have The Rutles Archaeology on CD.

The Rutles! I have The Rutles Archaeology on CD. This is a ballad for the good times..... haha Archaeology is a great album, although it does kinda screw up some of the established Rutles storyline. (eg in All You Need Is Cash, they state that The Rutles recorded, Sgt Rutters Lonely Dart's Club, but on Archaeology the Sgt Peppers send up is Major Happy. But other than those few things it is quite good
So put a battery in your leg
