I've never actually seen Cronos, though I've seen just about everything else directed by Del Toro and I'm looking forward to the Critereon release.

Wish it would be released in time for Halloween but I'm happy we're getting this at all. I'm hoping we get something like this for The Devil's Backbone as Del Toro has said he absolutely hated the subtitles for it (and more extras couldn't hurt) and I believe he said something about having made a director's cut of Mimic that he's happy with.
So yeah, general Del Toro horror thread.

My thoughts on Del Toro's works:
Cronos: Haven't seen it, yet not very interested in it anyways. Maybe I'll eventually give it a go, though.
Mimic: My only phobia is of beetles/cockroaches. That's why this movie especially scares me...And I love it for that reason. Also, funny, funny shoes. (That kid cracks me up with that line)
The Devil's Backbone: Haven't seen it, but VERY interested in it.
Blade II: A pretty fun movie. I like it as much as the first one.
Hellboy: An awesome movie. I may not be a Hellboy comics fan, but I surely am a Hellboy movies fan. This is the movie that made me fall in love with Del Toro...And Ron Perlman, for that matter. p.s. No homo haha.
Pan's Labyrinth: Though not as awesome as Jim Henson's Labyrinth, of which I am a HUGE fan (It's my fifth favorite movie of all time), I can admit it's just as imaginative, if not more so, and with a much more overall wonderful and wonderfully told story.
The Orphanage: Though he didn't direct this movie, I thought I'd give it a mention just because of how awesome it is. So, here's me mentioning how awesome it is haha.
Hellboy 2 - The Golden Army: An even AWESOMER movie than the first because of its inclusion of high fantasy concepts that are much more creative than the dark fantasy elements of the original.

So, what are your thoughts on Del Toro's works, Kenken?

Iz sum gooooood sheeeeeeiiit.
The man appreciates horror and trying to make it actually good and imaginative, or just trying to bring something from folklore, literature, or, hell, comics, to life. The fact that he actually tries to use animatronics and costumes so much is also a bonus. The first Hellboy was a great example of him trying to bring Lovecraft to life and I can't wait to see what he does with At the Mountains of Madness, Frankenstein, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde...if, y'know, he actually gets to go through with all those projects. He already had to pull out of The Hobbit because of MGM's monetary problems so who knows...

Oh my. I had no idea Del Toro had such a diverse filmography. No idea he directed Mimic and Blade 2, great movies. I haven't been able to catch the other ones except Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth which I completely loved. You're right about the animatronics, he uses them really well and I admire that. Heard he produced Splice which is good too. And I cannot wait for At the Mountains of Madness.
