This is under extreme construction, to the point that it is really just a place for holding all my ideas. It will be rather sporadic at that, since it's really just for me and, possibly, those who are interested in any of these ideas. Primarily, though, it's a place for me to work out my current Roleplay, a Valeyard themed Rp focusing on his time as the 13th Doctor. Anyone who's interested may feel free to post and we can discuss where we want to start and get it all ready here. Anyway, on the point.

Current Project - Valeyard Rp

An Rp taking place in the early life of the Valeyard, when he is still the Doctor and not yet evil... but certainly on his way. This Rp will be going with the idea that he is, in fact, the 13th Doctor and will not be a set Rp. The ending is completely up the players. Will he become evil, will he remain the Doctor, will someone kill him? It's all up to us. Nothing is set in stone. So far, we have established that he will be traveling with at least two companions and possibly four. It will be including the new series as canon but will ignore End of Time.

(It will also be including the Eighth Doctors Audio & Book run as well as most of Big Finish, but you don't need to know any of that to join. It'll be part of the canon, but Vale might never even mention it. If he does, he'll explain what he's talking about, of course.))

Characters So Far

13!Doctor / The Valeyard: Nic Coay
Leela: Aino Ailill (Companion)
Young!Davros: Oh My Rassilon (Companion)
(Possibly) Susan's Granddaughter: Romana II (Companion)
(Possibly) Cyberman: Nic Coay (Companion)

All in all, this is really starting to sound very interesting. It has a lot of potential. To have Leela with a Doctor that will actually use and encourage her violence will be fun to play out. And this idea of Rassilon's to have a young Davros, pre-Daleks and body-mutilation, be a companion of his is simply inspired. I really do like that idea and I can't wait to try it out.

Other Ideas

This is more for me than anyone else, just a place to put my thoughts. These are all ideas I've been doing with or writing about, but I haven't decided if they'll actually be Rps or if I'll just keep them in their fanfiction form.

Time War (War, War Never Changes)

An Rp based during the Last Great Time War. It would focus on the Eighth Doctor in so much that he would be the current Doctor, however I may decide to make this a Multi-Doctor arc, as well. I'm leaning towards that, but I still have to decide if I want to allow post-Eight Doctors. Might not be a good idea.

I know that I will allow multiple Masters, but I still have to decide if Movie!Master or Derek Jacobi (Yana) will be the 'current Master.' I might make both Masters 'Time War' Masters, just at different times. Even if I allow NuWho, though, I will never allow EoT!Master. I will also not allow multiple versions of any character, except Time Lords.

Characters

I'll be Eight if it's just him, but I'll probably be Six if it's Multi-Doctor and give Eight over to Oh My Rassilon (I know, I know, stop pestering me! I'll probably give him to you, Rass!). I think I'll also be the Valeyard and may (may) be Ainley!Master.

Need:
Being we know so little about it, the characters aren't mandatory, but these are a few I'd really like.

Doctor (of course)
Romana (Will be President, whether we get one or not)
Master
Leela
K-9 (Can be an NPC)
Davros (Or the Dalek Emperor or some other Dalek leader)
Braxiatel (Yeah, never gonna happen, but I can hope)
Darkel (Again, it's just a hope)

Other Ideas Continued

The Stranger Series
(Most likely going to be a fanfic, not an Rp. But if enough people show interest, I might make one anyway.)

I doubt many of you have heard of it, but Colin Baker did a series of movies (6 movies and 2 audios) that told the story of an alien time-traveler called The Stranger (Colin Baker) who traveled through space and time fighting for justice with his companion Miss Brown (Nicola Bryant). Sound familiar? Yeah, they weren't fooling anybody. It was the Doctor. He acted like him, he had Peri (even had the same actress), he fought evil. Pretty obvious. Until the fourth movie, by which time the series had actually gotten really popular and needed its own story. At that point, they gave The Stranger a backstory that named him Solomon and clearly wasn't the Doctor, but if you ignore those three movies, you get a series that makes for a really great 'What If' saga.

So my plan is to do a fic (or Rp, or both) that deals with this 'What if:' What if it had been the Sixth Doctor who went through the Time War? If you go with that idea, and then watch the first three movies, it fits beautifully. I would probably have all this occur after Trial of a Time Lord and would use a lot of ideas from the forsaken script for the last episode of that season. The Master causing civil unrest on Gallifrey, a civil war looming, an evil Doctor running about masquerading as the Keeper. All of these are wonderful details to lead into a Time War. Throw in the Daleks taking advantage of a weakened Gallifrey and you've got the story told for you.

Being how depressed Six got (in the books) after his encounter with the Valeyard (even suicidal at times) I could only imagine how he'd be if it had been his evil self who brought about the end of Gallifrey. And then having to destroy it himself? Yes, this could easily led to the beginning of the first movie, where The Doctor (now 'The Stranger') has exiled himself to Earth for a time of meditation and repentance. Then I'd pull in an older, harder Peri who tries to pull him out of his funk and go from there. I'd probably follow the movies for the first bit and then go off on my own. And I'd most likely bring in the Master. You have to.

-------------------------------------------------

The Reign of the Doctor
(The AU Doctor will be referred to as 'Omega.' There's a reason for this, but I don't remember what.)

Okay, this is an idea for a fanfic I've had for a while. Here, I had the idea for an alternate universe in which it was the Fifth Doctor who became the Valeyard (not in name, just in evilness). I can't remember how I thought this came about, but for now I'll just use the idea that it was the Fifth Doctor who encountered the Vale and lived through the Trial (probably with Peri, but maybe with Tegan and/or Turlough). It would end with him actually killing the Valeyard, but not in an accidental way. It would be a conscious decision and one with another option. This would lead down the road to where we begin the story with him as ruler. He becomes darker and start making stricter, more harsh decisions in his adventures, eventually going as far as to kill the Master. He will then take over Gallifrey and begin policing the universe, leading to the destruction of most of his enemies; Daleks, Cybermen, Ice Warriors, Sontarans, and so on.

Now with most of the universe and time under totalitarian control, a small resistance will arise made up of the survivors of these races, like Cyberman, Ice Warriors, and Sontarans (probably not Daleks, but maybe), and with various Time Lords, including The Rani (for sure) and possibly; the Monk, the War Chief, Romana, Brax, Borusa, Flavia, Andred? (Should I bring back the Valeyard?)

This is where we'll come in. The real Fifth Doctor will end up in this universe (why?) and discover what's happened there. Among other things, he'll learn this his Master has also been pulled into this universe (by Omega?), but he was brought here several years earlier and is a prisoner of Omega. Omega has been testing a device that allows him to travel to other dimensions. The 'main dimension' is the first he stumbled upon and obtaining it's Master was his first move. He does not approve of this other world where his 'other self' is still so weak and foolishly noble. He plans to conquer it as well.

The Doctor will eventually meet up with the Resistance, led by the Rani (and others, probably Romana, Borusa, maybe Brax and Vale). One of their first tasks will be to rescue the Master, who he later finds out is part of the Resistance and is absolutely in a relationship with the Rani. From this point, I haven't figured anything else out.

I can't remember how I thought this came about, but for now I'm working with the idea that it was the Fifth Doctor who encountered the Valeyard and lived through the Trial of a Time Lord (probably with Peri, but maybe with Tegan and/or Turlough.) and then I'd go with the same idea I use in 'The Stranger' that the Time War arises from this, created from the civil war over the Matrix and it's proper use. The Master and The Valeyard would probably led two opposing sides, with the Doctor as a neutral third party trying to sort things out.

Darius Series

Um, yeah, this one is mostly written, at least in my head. I've got most of the plot all thought out and all I need to do is write it down. As a result, I'm really just putting this here to remind me. This project is going to be rather hush hush. I've got twists and turns in it that I don't want anyone else to know.

I will say that this is going to be an Eighth Doctor - Charley Rp. I still have to decide exactly where it's placed, but I do intend to fit it in a realistic place. It will heavily involve Big Finish. How could it not, being an Eighth Doctor story? And featuring Charley? However, you needn't have any knowledge of Big Finish to read or understand it.

Continued

Again, this is really for me. It's a fanfic story, for sure, though I'd kill for a one-on-one Rp of this at any time. But this is pretty much to remind me and get all my thoughts in order. It probably won't make any sense to anyone else and isn't really supposed to. Basically, it's a really long post of me talking to myself. = ) Yeah, I know. I'm weird.

Okay, so it's another Valeyard story, though this time it will be strictly the Valeyard, not 13!Doc. I'll be going with the idea that he is just an amalgamation of all the evil in the Doctor, created somewhere between his 12th and final incarnations.

So, having recently watched Michael Jayston (Vale) in Jane Eyre, I couldn't help watching the show and thinking of him as the Valeyard. As I watched it I was deeply surprised by just how flawlessly this fit. Which gave me an idea and I've been feverishly working on it ever since. The story will be a cross between Doctor Who and Jane Eyre, but not a cross-over. The two universes will not be colliding. I will simply be using the basic story over Jane Eyre and inserting into the Valeyard's life.

I will probably be setting this some time after the Trial. I've considered doing it before, but I think it works much better after and probably a good bit after. Some 20 years, I'm thinking. Anyway, a bitter and broken (and somewhat remorseful) Valeyard will settle on Earth in the early 1800s, having spent a majority of the last 20 years traveling alone, trying to secure his existence and his identity, independent of the Doctor. He has in no way been noble in these endeavors, but probably hasn't been going around massacring entire planets. I will also need to decide what he did on Gallifrey while disguised as the Keeper of the Matrix. Yet another scheme is, of course, necessary, but I think I'll have him be arrested and held captive for at least a little while as a result.

Anyway, he ends up on Earth where he assumes the alias 'Edward Rochester' (subject to change) and adopts the identity of a wealthy, English bachelor, mansion and all. I may restrict him entirely to Earth, but more than likely I will give him his TARDIS and use that to explain why he is so often away from home.

((I need to decide if this Earth is going to be real or a design of the Matrix? And if the Valeyard is aware of the illusion? Could it be a prison created by the Doctor or other Time Lords? Which would be totally sad, but could be a good idea.))

So, here's been living on this planet (possibly in-between trips in the TARDIS) for at least 9 years. This'll be where it starts, I should think, and is where I'll need to start making decisions. (And, consequentially, is where this stops making any sense whatsoever to anyone who isn't actually in my head or, at least, hasn't seen/read Jane Eyre.)

Does he adopt the girl Adele (name changeable) as his ward? (I think he should)

If he does, then that's how the love interest will be introduced, as the Governess for the girl. The Vale will be intrigued by this girl's wit and steadfast ability to play and match him at his mind games. I'll have to decide how strictly I stay to the Eyre story, but obvious changes will have to be made. Anyway, the end result will be that The Vale and Jane Eyre (name will definitely be changed) fall in love, quite against anything Vale expected and despite his rather abrupt, moody manner. Settling more permanently on Earth, he stops taking trips (in the TARDIS, if I give it to him) and remains with Eyre until he finally resolves to marry her.

However, before he can move forward with this plan, The Doctor (probably the Seventh - not at all happy Vale is on Earth) shows up and, privately, threatens the Valeyard, having come to take him back to Gallifrey. The Vale refuses and has him sent away, but not before he (accidentally) confesses his true cause for remaining on Earth, his feelings for Jane. The Doctor, naturally, doesn't believe him, rejecting the idea that The Vale could actually feel such emotions. Jane enters the room to protect Vale, both verbally and physically, from the Doctor, refusing to let him take 'Rochester' away. The Doctor gives in and leaves, promising to return.

(Gap) When the Doctor returns, he again ridicules the Vale for his supposed 'love,' still not believing in it. He sees the truth when he threatens to take Jane away from Vale (for her own good) and Vale very passionately swoops in to protect, unwilling to be parted from her. Now believing the Valeyard, the Doctor is again forced to leave. But not before a private conversation with Vale in which he reminds him of what he truly is and asks him if he thinks Jane would still love him, or even accept him, if she knew the truth. Greatly troubled by the question, Vale becomes more reclusive and eventually leaves for a time.

He returns and things fall back into routine. Time passes but their relationship goes no further, Jane eventually believing that he's found another love interest. Which, of course, is wonderful, soapy conflict. It will end with Jane about to leave and the Vale confessing his love to her, which she returns. Vale asks her if she would love him no matter what he'd done in the past and she, naturally, says 'yes.' Happy, he asks her to marry him and the date is set.

All is well and they are about to be married when the Doctor (evil wrecker of love!) shows up mid-ceremony (or before it?) and gives the Valeyard an ultimatum; he must tell Jane the truth. If she accepts, then he can stay with her and the Doctor won't bother him again. Defeated, the Vale flees and returns to his home, unwilling either to face Jane or arrest by the Doctor.

Well, that would be a lame ending, so Jane and the Doctor follow him, Doc demanding he make a decision; tell Jane the truth (whether she accepts him or not) or return to Gallifrey. Vale is resigned to return to Gallifrey until Jane lovingly coaxes the truth out of him. So, yeah, he tells her that he is, in fact, an alien. It's a shock, but she's cool with it. Travels through time? Okay, she's got that. But then the Doctor demands Vale tell her exactly what he is. Dark amalgamation of all the evil in the man behind her? Sadly, no. She's not having any of that. She flees, leaving the Valeyard devastated. True to his word, the Doctor is about to leave when Vale loses it and attacks him. They fight. (Here I'll either have the Doc overcome him and flee or the Valeyard overcome his rage and actually let him flee.)

Either way, The Valeyard remains on Earth alone, forced to send away his ward, Adele. (Or should he end up arrest? I don't know, but either way, he ends up back on Earth some months later.) After some months, Jane's thought it over and decided she does love 'Rochester,' no matter what he is, even the evil shadow of another man, and rushes off back to the mansion. (That's love for you.) She finds a very broken Valeyard, defeated and possibly suicidal, living (barely) alone in his home. She confesses her (continued) love for him, much to his surprise.

This time it's his turn (depressed as he is) to resist and he does some Valeyard-bashing, but, being the happy story that it is, love conquers all and she's able to convince him that it doesn't matter what he was or what he was created from. He loves her, he's felt emotions he shouldn't be able to feel. In short, he's evolved to be more than what he was. He has become an independent being, become more than the dark thoughts of the Doctor. And she loves him. He is very happy and they are married. I think it only fitting that the Doctor (showed up like he has been!) attend.

((The only really big plot piece I need to sort out is what to do with the woman in the tower. Should I just ignore her? Or could she be an alien, maybe? Or possibly Ace, captured by Vale when she was snooping about earlier for the Doc? Not for 9 years, of course, but certainly for Jane's time there. That could work. That or ignoring it all together. I'll think on it.))

So, then they all live happily, ever after. Isn't it sweet? Well, probably not, but I like it and I tend to write fanfictions for myself, not others (yeah, it's selfish, I know) so I'm at least going to enjoy it. Hmm. I wonder if I should end with them traveling in the TARDIS? Or on Gallifrey? Or just leave them on Earth. Hard to say. TARDIS traveling could always lead to Doctor Who/Jane Eyre Sequels. = )

By 'badger her,' I assume you mean 'let her know that I've finally gotten around to starting the RP that she has ever so patiently been waiting for,' hmm? xP
Let's get this party started!

We still need you to decide what you're going to do with Leela, Aino. This is the time of decisions!... Or of discussion. If you're still having trouble figuring it out, we could discuss it here. Rass over there is a Leela expert, aren't you, Rassilon? = )

And before you get nervous, don't. I've already told Rass that you have only seen one episode and heard one audio with her. He's not going to be nitpicky about your performance.

Also, because I enjoy them, we shall be using profiles. No need to fill them in now, I'm just putting them here so I remember to work on it.

I am controlled by: (Username)
I was born: (Character Name)
Some call me: (Aliases, Nicknames, etc.)
My people were the: (Race)
You could say that I'm: (Personality. Just enough so that I know you know them. A few words is fine.)
I have lived long: (History. Just the important bits or what you think we need to know. Any changes to canon would go here.)
You see: (Appearance)
I should add: (Other - Weapons, special skills, anything you think we should know. Or nothing. That works too.)

Great! Now we can start. I think I've pretty much sussed my guy out. Some lose ends still left to tie up, but I can figure it out as we go along. I really need Nic to lend me his Davros audios so I can make sure I got that right, though. *HinthintNic*

Thanks you, Aino. Nic's partly to blame, though. He's the one who showed me that Exterminate song. That's what got me thinking of it. But I'll take full credit, of course. biggrin I just thought it would be really cool if somehow the Doctor was to blame for Davros becoming what he does. Or vice versa. Or both. I don't really know, but however it works out, it'll be cool. Plus, I have a really cool pic I pulled together for Davros, if I can just remember where I saved it.

I'm glad you like it, Aino. I think River/Eleven are cool together. And don't even start, Nicolas! I don't want to hear it! We all know what you're feelings are on the matter. xd
