I started collecting manga a long time ago, but also took quite a few hiatuses (years worth)! But here is my modest collection... or downright tiny compared to some! A few of my favorite manga series are Kodocha, Red River, Naruto, and Bleach. Originally I was primarily obsessed with shojo manga only, but since the discovery of Naruto I've been gradually switching to shonen. I've also been contemplating getting into another shonen line. Would be cool if anyone had suggestions for a good one!

well I was wondering if Death Note is good, I mean do you like it? I'm still up to the first vlume anD I LOVE THEIR ARTWORK!!!
I'm thinking about getting the second vol soon and I also wanna purchase BAKUMAN and give that one a try!! whee

I'm mostly a shojo-fan myself, but as far as shonen goes I've really liked YuYu Hakusho, Shaman King, and Kekkaishi.

Upon reading synopses of all the recommended books, Yuyu Hakusho has made it to my wish list.. Also picked up Bleach 1-21. xp Edit: Also Dr Grayman, can't really seem to get a good idea as to what that one is about, but I have seen the books in stores and they look pretty cool.
As for Death Note, hmm.... I do love the artwork too, all the shinigami look astounding! The story concept is definitely original and captivating. However, while reading Death Note novels I tend to lose interest midway, as all the fighting between Light and L takes place in a calculated, indirect, fashion. In otherwords, there's a lot of dialogue and sleuthing, and not enough RASENGAN! to the face for me.

Small update for now.
Bleach 22, 23, 24.

Went to four different Walmarts and at each one the Yu Yu Hakusho seasons for 10 bucks were the only discount anime DVDs that were sold out. What bad luck. sweatdrop
