Well, how do you feel about Norse Mythology being, I think, the only mythology in which there is a death to the gods.

Hmm. I think that'd depend on whether you mean the death of all the gods, or just that gods can die. In Celtic mythology, Balor was slain by our own Lugh, and I believe he would be considered a god.

He's referring to the fact that the Norse mythology has a clear ending. Some of the lesser interpretations are that it's the end of the world of the gods, and the taking over of men.
Other mythologies, except for Christian mythology, have no real endings. Even then, though, Christian mythology doesn't have an end, since it comes down to prophecies/predictions. Norse is already spelled out and has happened, sorta.

It really isn't the end. Just an end, seeing as there is a new world, &c, which I find a rather beautiful happening. Laughs, in a sense it is Ragnarok (or, well, Balder's death, which is the precursor to Ragnarok...) that originally got me interested in Norse mythology.
In a very biased opinion on the topic, I would say: Ha! That's what you get for chaining up Loki, and killing/imprisoning his children.
On a more random note, MS Word spellcheck says Ragnarok should be Kangaroo.

It doesn't surprise me. I wasn't bashing Celtic myths, I was bashing heroes in general. 3nodding I mean, there was that one guy, Perseus, I lended my sandals to once... Carrying around Medusa's head in a bag. Bah! Can't just leave it where it'll do no more harm, no. Couldn't even just destroy it, or sink it. Had to bring it to that king and turn him into stone... Being all flashy...

Being all flashy... Yep...then Minerva put it on her shield. Now THAT was a fun thing to do. Now, for a little play called "The Shield" Minerva: "Hey Hephestus, could you get my shield for me?" Hephestus: "Sure thing, Minerva." As soon as he glances at the shield, he turns into stone.Minerva:"Um...Hephestus?" she looks over to see the statue "DAMMIT! Not again! APOLLO!" Apollo enters from the right "Do your magic-healy-Sun god thingy!" Apollo: "He looked at your shield again, didn't he?" Minerva: nods slowlyApollo: sighs in disgust "You're hopeless, you know that?" Minerva: she smiles widely and laughs "TO BATTLE!"

...and the Egyptian gods have a limited supply of Sa, or magical blood that keeps them the gods that they are. In short, it's limited. When it's gone, they aren't gods anymore. But yeah, it doesn't really state WHEN they'll perish, just how.

GrayFox00 Well, how do you feel about Norse Mythology being, I think, the only mythology in which there is a death to the gods. if you were meaning that the gods could die you must be overlooking Egyptian mythology where Horus and Ra got in an epic battle and Ra lost an eye and horus had to give him one (the eye of Horus) and the fact that Seth killed his brother. And the fact that a God's Sa can run out which means they die.
