Pol trotted along, he had a good pace going his head hadn’t been pounding too much and that made him think he could push himself a bit further. It was mid day and so far Pol was getting tired of Linn and yet part of him enjoyed having the company, the fact that he wasn’t alone and someone being there if he was seriously hurt, but he feared she didn’t have the ‘balls’ to push himself far enough.
But then again he didn’t have much balls either, when he first saw Linn he dashed away and got himself hurt so badly that he had trouble getting back home now. Groaning at the mere thought Pol’s head started to throb, grimacing he at the thought of his coward-ness and his injury Pol slowed his pace.
“Let’s slow a bit.”

Truth was, while Tuilinn was annoyed as hell. Of course, the company was nice. She hated to be alone. Mostly because wolves are very social creatures and partly because she could talk the day away and felt robbed when there was no one to press her will upon. Not that she was horrible, just bossy as sin. So far, she had spent most of the journey chiding Pol to slow down. This miiiiiiight be why he thought she didn't have enough balls to get him home, but she thought otherwise.
She was worried that if he continued along quickly, he would make himself worse in the long run. Slow and steady might be alright in his condition, but as fast as they were going... She feared he might seriously hurt himself again.
"About friggin' time, I only been saying that for the past half of the journey." She snorted indignantly as she plodded alongside the injured wolf, slowing her pace to match his. Despite the annoyed tone, anyone who knew her well enough might hear an inkling of worry in her voice.

Rolling his eyes again Pol was starting to hate the action, he hadn’t rolled his eyes this much in his whole life! And yet Pol hadn’t truly had this much fun with another wolf outside his family before now, this new wolf had pushed her to standards that he didn’t even know he could pass. Though she seem to complain a lot and baby him Pol thought it was good, thought it was nice to have such a…a friend to look after him.
Letting out a dry heave as a laugh Pol pushed himself onward, he could do this! Just at a slower rate now, “Oh haha, we probably would have gotten there by now if you had saved your energy and not used it by complaining.”

"Pfff, sure. We'd be there all right. You would'a just sprouted wings and flown, wouldn't ya?" She chuckled as she plodded alongside the cream and white male. Truth be told, she was enjoying the experience, though she was growing tired of constantly repeating herself. Typical, hardheaded male, if anything. He'd find out sooner or later that she was right. Sure would, of that she was positive.
"We'd get there faster if you just slowed your tail down, Pol. You rushing on and making your body exhausted is just gonna make the travel worse. Annnnnd... I think you ought to give me directions to your pack, for when you pass out. 'Cos I know it's gonna happennnnn~ And I haven't forgotten about how I have permission to rub it in your face when it does." She chuckled lightly and playfully, gently nudged him with her shoulders. After a while, he might just come to learn that the more she pestered, badgered, and bossed, the more she cared.

Letting out a laugh Pol couldn’t help but find amassment in Linn’s word, she always had something to say and it was never something light. As time went on Pol was finding himself liking her back talk and her side comments about everything, it kept him entertained. Surprisingly this trip wasn’t a waste he had learned of another pack, hadn’t been killed or kidnapped, and he knew very well that his luck was wonderful!
He had hit his head pretty horrible but with a little push of his body he was able to make his way home, “It’s straight on ahead, if we hurry we’ll be able to get there before the day ends. Now stop complaining!” Though he growled, his tone never lost that happy feeling nor did his spirits they were as high as a kit for some reason.
This female was so weird challenging him at every turn, it always made him want to surpass whatever she thought he couldn’t do.

"Just straight?" Wasn't too difficult. She made a quick note of the sun's position, so she wouldn't get thrown off course when the inevitable would happen. He was pushing himself way too hard and she could just feeeeel him growing weaker as he ran. He was going to embarrass the s**t out of himself and she was going to laugh her tail off later, when he was better.
"And I'm only tryin' to keep you alive, whippersnapper." She growled, but like his tone, there was a glint of playfulness in it. He was probably the same age as she was, possibly even older, but she picked playfully at him. Her hackles lifted, but a sly smirk was on her maw as she kept even with him.
"Oh, can't wait to see the look on your alpha's face when he sees me dragging you up to the den!"

“Ha! Like I’d let that happen!” Taking in a deep breath Pol dashed on ahead, his heart pumped and blood rushed through his veins, through his body. One minute Pol was running free and happy, his thoughts filled with joy and happiness to get back to his pack with this new female. To get back to his sister, to show his alpha that he was capable of so much more than his age allowed him.
“Remember to keep up!” Glancing back Pol smiled the breeze pushing against him making it harder for him to dash past the thick trees around him. Quickly looking forward again Pol was able to dodge a large truck but the minute he dashed past it his body shut down. A sharp pain started from his head went straight down his back making him go into a spasm before hitting the ground and tumbling forward.
His world went black.

Goddamn it.
She told him this would happen. She harped on it, as if beating a dead horse, and he still didn't listen. And now he was unconscious. Again.
She gave a loud groan of annoyance as she slowed to a trot and plodded up beside the fallen male. He had taxed himself too much, most likely. She didn't think he had hit his head again, or at least hoped he hadn't hit his head again. She turned her blue eyes skyward once more, double checking their position against the sun, and then glanced down to the tan and white lump that would be her burden to drag for another day or so. Hopefully less, but she figured she would need to halt during the night for some rest.
She seized Pol by the scruff and began to drag in in the direction that they had been heading before he took his graceless little spill.

A little later that night Pol awake with a jolt, his body shaking with pain before he fully awaken and glanced around. s**t what had happened? He had passed out hadn’t he? Frowning Pol was afraid to glance in the direction of Linn, part of him didn’t want her to be there, to wish that she had just abandon him and his stupidity… He should have listened.
The other part of him hoped she was still there, taking care of him as she had while he had first hurt himself. Glancing around Pol couldn’t help but hold in a breath, thankfully his gaze landed on Linn now he was just afraid to let out that breath because of Linn beatings that would surely come once she noticed he was awake.

It was late and it was dark.
She had dragged Pol until she was too exhausted to go on and the moon was beginning to peak out. She didn't want to admit to being afraid of the dark and she really wasn't. It was the things that might come in the dark that worried her. That and the fact that she had spent nearly all her strength on dragging a creature the same size as herself. He was easy pickings and, with how worn out she was, so was she. Instead of dragging him on, blinded by the want to get to their destination, she had scouted out a fallen tree that, against the earth and trunk, made a nice little den. She pushed his body inside and then followed, blocking him from the view of the outside.
She wasn't quite asleep, but she wasn't quite awake. Being able to relax after a hard day's work was nice, but she was too worried about any dangers to let herself relax enough to actually pass into a sleep, no matter how light.
While he was afraid to breathe due to her hearing, she was already aware of him stirring behind her. She had felt his body shaking and him wakening. Her ears pricked slightly and one swiveled to face him.

Sighing Pol got up, to the best of his ability, and lightly plopped down next to Linn, “I know you’re awake and I wanted to say…” He felt ashamed for passing out and making her work so hard to drag him to a safe area. And glancing around that’s exactly what she had done, it was dark and they were in a match shift den that Linn obviously hadn’t made herself but it couldn’t have been easy to find.
“I’m sorry and thank you… For taking care of a friend?” He asked it as a question because well… He kind of didn’t know if they were friends, or if she would still want to be his friend after he had put her through this, twice.

"Well, duh~ Of course you're a friend. If you weren't, I'd left you out for the bears to get you."
Again with the bears. Maybe that was what she was so afraid of, afraid enough to seek out shelter to make sure they made it through the night. It wasn't like an unfounded fear. An adult could easily take them out, especially if one was lame and unconscious and the other was exhausted to the core. She didn't look at him. Instead, she opened her blue eyes and peered out into the moon lightened surroundings of the little safe place she had found. It was lovely out, she had to admit that. She half wished she could get some sleep, but she knew it would not come.
"You're welcome~"

Smiling Pol couldn’t help but be glad he had a friend still, it was nice to have a friend outside of his family it was new to him but he knew he liked the feeling nonetheless.
Planting his body next to Linn’s he couldn’t help but slide closer to the girl, he wasn’t afraid of the dark he wasn’t afraid of bears or creatures of the night he just didn’t like to be alone during the night. He missed his sister, he use to do everything with her until he up and left for a ‘becoming a man journey’ why would he do something so stupid when he should have realized he wasn’t ready.
“Linn…” Maybe light conversation would lighten his mood?

She felt him move closer and, at first, she was tempted to pull away. It was odd, curling up next to someone she had only known for a short period of time. It was always a cluster of her brothers and sisters in the den and this was, well, different to say the least. It wasn't horrible. Just... Different. She stayed where she was, musing quietly to herself. Part of her was proud of what she had done, despite her age and experience. She was proving herself, she thought, and that was what she had set out to do in the first place.
Of course she had to remind herself that she was not yet an adult and there was still limits to what she could do. The groans in her aching muscles reminded her of that.
"Yeah?"

It wasn’t that Pol was completely healed he still had dull pain here and there and he was extremely tired even after all of the sleep he had gotten but he promised himself that he would stay up to protect Linn it was the least he could do after everything she had done for him. He was glad though that she hadn’t pulled away from him when he had moved closer to her, he was quite surprised by it really.
“Get some sleep, things will be better tomorrow.”
