Okay...so I'm just gonna make another not-rp-thread, I hope you don't mind ^^;
Yeah, actually, I've got some questions concerning the American school system and cause you're very American I'm sure you're able to help me =)
Sooooo~ What are SATs like? You've already taken them, right? Do you also got the study guide, this 997-pages book (it's huge! O.O)?
And after you finish highschool do you first have to go to college before you can go to university or is it the same basically? And what's a comunity college? Do all colleges have tuition fees? Do parents pay them?
I really want to study in the USA, preferably at Yale (. . . ^^; ) and...uh...ya, would be great if you helped me =)
And I'm sure I'll ask even more questions later...

1.997 pages?! O-O I don't know about other schools, but I've never had to do a giant work-book/study-guide thing for SAT's. Maybe thing a few pages but nothing more than that.
2.You can go to both I think, but they're basically the same thing. A college is usually a smaller school that may issue bachelors, masters or even doctoral degrees, specializing in one or two areas largely, like the arts and education for example, or psychology. A university generally has many departments with many different specialty areas (engineering, mathematics, science, philosophy, arts, theater, music, literature, sociology, etc) is much larger, has undergraduate (bachelors degrees) as well as graduate (masters and doctoral degrees) programs, and may have law and medical schools as well.
3. All in all a community college is sort of like a junior college. If that doesn't clear it up enough here's something I copy and pasted In the United States, community colleges, sometimes called junior colleges, technical colleges, or city colleges, are primarily two-year public institutions providing higher education and lower-level tertiary education, granting certificates, diplomas, and associate's degrees.
After graduating from a community college, some students transfer to a four-year liberal arts college or university for two to three years to complete a bachelor's degree.
Before the 1970s, community colleges in the United States were more commonly referred to as junior colleges, and that term is still used at some institutions. However, the term "junior college" has evolved to describe private two-year institutions, whereas the term "community college" has evolved to describe publicly funded two-year institutions. The name derives from the fact that community colleges primarily attract and accept students from the local community, and are often supported by local tax revenue.
4. YES. Very much so. Every college has tuition fees, but if you get a scholarship for being super smart or for sports or somthing, it goes down quite a bit. Some people can even get a "full-ride" to college through scholarships, meaning they get everything for free except for things like school books and food. Also, yes parents do generally pay tuition for their children, but many kids prefer to get a job or use some of their own money to pay for most of it.
Hope that clears most of it up! If you have any other questions about what i typed here, or something else I can help!(hopefully)

Thank you very much! You're being a great help ^^
I was talking about this book http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/0874478529/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=
I see ^^ The tuition fee-thing sucks, though v.v My parents don't have much money...
Um...you can go to college or university after finishing hogh school, right? You don't need any extra stuff, do you?
Students in the USA take the SATs more than once, right?

I think we only have to be 21 to drink xDD but ive taken the Pre SAT, not the actual SAT. It sucks... and i think we consider college and University the same think. we basically use Undergratuate and Gratuate i think. Community College is basically for prerequisites and then University/Institute is for getting the actual degrees. For example, i have to take some basic art classes at community college before i can go to the Art Institute and take Set Design. =D and you can get scholorships for tuition. and i have to pay part of mine but my parents are gonna help me lol. There! now you have two points of view(s? eseses?) on the subject xD

hahaha yes. yes we do. lol
undergrad is i think the first set of classes you take and grad is after you've done undergrad. You could do grad right away but its almost impossible without undergrad. I dont really know how to explain it well.
and PSATs were really long and boring and i think i failed it xDD i think its all multiple choice questions and what sucked was i took it as a freshman so i hadnt learned much that was on it yet.
