I love the Pre-Release concept behind the different boosters, and if it is only for the Pre-Release, those boosters are going to be worth allot for a looong time.
W000!, Morrodin! xD

Yeah I heard about that, but its ONLY for the pre release event, so, if you dont open 1 or 3 your deck is going to suffer severely. It's a Gamble really, 30$ to play and if you choose NOT to open them you might as well drop out. no way you will be able to make a good sealed deck with only 3 packs of scars.
Anwyays the two diffrent promo cards pending on faction... I dont like that! come on! now there are 7 cards ill need to get instead of the normal 3 from a pre release. and you know that one will bond to be FAR better than the other and worth more.
As the verses thing I think Mirrian is still better, Poison is still so bad in Standard. But maybe in beSieged they'll show playable poison guys. To even it out I think the people who pick Pherexian should get the more intense Promo and the Mirrians get the lesser one.
Really though there is no way to see which one will be worth more until after the matter. Man I HATE the second market values.

Yeah I'm excited for the split pack prerelease. But I wonder how many a hobby store will have to buy in anticipation for outcome. And I wonder what they'll do with them with the extras. Sell them that day or give them out as prizes or first come first served? But unless the Mirridin card is better, I'm deffinately going with Phyrexia. They've corrupted me big time.
Also, you can make a sealed deck with three packs. You do that in booster drafts.

In booster drafts you are able to lock in a colour and make a playable deck. In sealed your only pool is the cards you open from your six packs. Having a pool of random (more or less even spread in all colours because your not drafting) 45 cards wont be able to compete with those who opened all six of their packs and have a pool of 90, just by the number of cards open to them. That is what I mean
Their not gonna be allowed to sell them, because the duel packs are like the promo cards. They are not "sellable" products to stores. Some actual card shops will probubly keep them and hold onto them for later sales (which their "not" ALLOWED to do, its like them holding onto promo cards to sell later) Best bet is Prize support.

well, we have some new info on the event packs. There are going to be two decks one for each faction. Each come with 7 rares and playsets of good commons and uncommons they say. It even comes with a sideboard. What does everyone think?

What does everyone think? so... 7 random rares.. and a playset of random common and uncommons? or is everyone gonna have the same cards when it comes to the playsets of commons or uncommons? the more i hear about this... the more it sounds like this will be based on luck ><

I'm looking forward to seeing what wonders infect gets. I love the mechanic, despite my noobishness with it getting me slapped around. Now that I have a firm grasp on what exactly it does, (doesn't normally look up information online lol) I want to see more monsters like Putrefax show up.
Any confirmations on what colors the decks will be?

I wonder if any red or white cards will be phyrexian. Old Phyrexian cards never had white and only a rare few even splashed red.

I'm curious if one could work a red-black with a few infect monsters? Phryexians with fireballs make me smile: not only am I dishing damage but I'm wearing down solid defenders turn after turn. I will probably prove to suck at deck-building, but I think that'd be a fun deck to work.

It can be done. Though instead of trying to burn em down, you'll probably have a better time poisoning them up.
