Okay, so we do this on another group I'm in and it's a lot of fun, so I figured we'd give it a shot here. Basically, you are given a list of prompts and you can then pick one pairing (or just group of friends) and go through the prompts, writing short, one-shots for each. You can write as much as you want, but they don't have to be very long. 100 words or more is just fine. You can pick any characters and do any or all of the prompts. You can also suggest your own prompts and I'll add them here. So, have fun.
(I'll put the name of the person (from our Guild) who suggested the prompt next to it.)
Prompts
1) Falling in a canal
2) Playing with hair
3) Sick (Can be the Doctor or someone else)
4) Chocolate Rain
5) The TARDIS is gone (forever or just at the moment)
6) Fez + A Doctor other than 11
7) Converted by Cybermen (The Doctor, The Master, or a companion)
8 ) A game of Monopoly
9) The Doctor discovers that bananas are not good.
10) A pet living in the TARDIS

I'll start this off then. It's one I did for my other group. It's a pointless bit of fluff, but I couldn't resist. Lazy Day Prompt: 2 - Playing with hair Pairing: Six/Peri Words: 928 Set: During the Lost Season, between "Revelation of the Daleks' and 'Trial of a Time Lord' (If you're familiar with the Lost Season, this is set a little bit after 'The Nightmare Fair.') ----------------------------------------------------- Peri grinned, her eyes closed as she relaxed on the cushioned bench. Beautiful music drifted through the air and, while she could not understand the words, the emotion was so vivid that she felt she could understand them. It was a song of love; of deep, unwavering devotion. Who the voice loved or why Peri didn’t know, but she didn’t feel it mattered. The meaning was there, the details weren’t important. Just below the music she could hear the flutter of fabric and the thump of light footsteps as the dancers swayed across the stage. Even with her eyes shut, she could picture the scene being played out before her.
She heard The Doctor yawn contently; a long, contagious yawn that spread to his young companion. Her eyes fluttered open and she smiled down at him, his head resting on her knee as he watched the proceedings with idle interest. He’d given her the couch and taken a position on the floor in front of her, but the servants had brought him so many large, over-stuffed pillows that he actually looked more comfortable on the floor than she did on the couch.
Shifting on the bench, Peri moved another pillow behind her and sat up a little straighter, trying to find a position that would encourage her to stay awake. At least long enough to see the end of the show. The Doctor reluctantly lifted his head as she repositioned, running a hand over his eyes to wake them up. Lifting his arms, he arched his back in a large stretch that reminded Peri of some big, lounging cat. She smiled at the comparison.
Once she’d finished moving, the Doctor returned his head to its place on her knee. His blond locks tickled her leg and she reached out to brush them away before absently running her hand through the curls. A few strands fell over his sleepy eyes and she swept them aside before fingering a loose strand near his ear. The Doctor sighed and his eyes drooped.
She’d never admit it, but his tousled hair was her favorite part of the Doctor’s new body. She’d detested every bit of his changed appearance when she first saw it, comparing it harshly to the young, angelic figure of his predecessor. That opinion had evolved during their travels together. Over time, her friend’s new appearance had become familiar - a welcome sight. If she was really honest with herself, she’d even grown to prefer this newer model, from his golden curls to his large, intimidating size. He was taller, stronger, more full of life. Every bit of him was different, except for the eyes. Those intelligent, blue eyes. They were the same. The expression may be different, but they were the same.
But still, his hair was her favorite part. She’d even taken to playing with it when he was close enough and the day was a lazy one. He’d found the sign of affection very frivolous and very human at first, but he’d warmed to it over time. He still asserted that it was a silly practice, but the contented expression he wore betrayed him. The Doctor enjoyed the attention as much as she. His eyes lulled as she ran her finger along the coarser hair above his ear and then trailed it down the line of his hair to the back of his neck. He gave another relaxed sigh as she repeated the action on the other side. At this rate, she had no doubt he’d be asleep before the next song.
As she continued the now-familiar practice, Peri’s eyes observed the Doctor. He’d shed his ridiculous, brilliant coat and laid it at his side. Even lying abandoned on the ground and surrounded by the vivid colors of the entertainers, the patchwork fabric was so loud that not one member of the audience had failed to notice it. His green, white-dotted neck tie lay beside it, along with his vest, and his green watch-chain, which had been carefully removed and placed on top of the pile.
In this state of undress the Doctor looked quite different to Peri’s eyes. He was so rarely seen without his blinding coat or, at the very least, his vest and necktie that he looked almost naked without them. Peri almost felt a little scandalous. She laughed softly at such a silly feeling before returning her focus to the Doctor’s hair. Despite her attentions, his hair was in much the same state as it had been when she started. No matter how long she played with it, his hair stubbornly returned to its original stance. It was a puzzle she never could quite figure out. While it appeared to be wild and unruly, it clearly had some unseen structure that it was fiercely adhering to.
By now the Doctor was fast asleep, just as she’d predicted. Peri saw no reason to rouse him and continued trailing her fingers through his curls. It wasn’t often that they got to relax like this. They’d only just narrowly avoided being hung at London Tower before deciding that this vacation to Altrus Minor was absolutely necessary. This peace was rare and she was going to savor every moment of it. She knew it couldn’t last, but they were happy now, completely at ease and without a care in the world. It felt almost like they’d stumbled across some hidden, magical realm and she had no intention of breaking the spell.
Tomorrow they could run down corridors and battle mad, power-hungry criminals. Today, they would enjoy themselves.
