You suddenly find yourself in what appears to be a large off-white room, completely devoid of detail with the exception of the huge, towering gate in the middle(?) of the area, and the much-smaller-by-comparison oak desk located next to it. Someone sitting behind the desk (whom you can only assumed is named 'Kiwi,' due to the name plaque sitting in front of her) is picking dirt from underneath her fingernails. Noticing you, she indicates a small ticket machine which reads, "Please Take A Number!" There's no one else here, though, and she doesn't look all that busy, anyways.

Following what feels like a long, long time (but who knows, because there's no time at the Gate): "...Now taking number 1!"

"Sorry sir, but I called number -75 about a millennium ago. It doesn't appear as though number 1 is here, though...so if you need something, make it quick." Kiwi stares at the man expectantly.

-Picks up ticket number 13-
". . ."
-Sits in the corner of the room and stares down at ticket-
"Just like my 13th birthday. . ." -Sighs and adjusts glasses-

After an oddball switch in the narrative, a strange man in a suit, duster coat, and Converses comes up to the front desk waving around Ticket #903. Kiwi spends the next three centuries (roughly) discussing the finer points of Gallifreyan technology before realizing that a large line has gathered before her. Shooing the man away, she proceeds down the list of numbers. "Number 13? Oh, Number 13?"
