In google if you do a search for Invader Zim you will eventually come to something about a movie. It appeared to be just some crazy fan's dream but they had release dates and animation progress and everything. I was wondering if anyone knows either way?

There was going to be a movie, but they cancelled the show before they could even get the last episode out. So movie won't happen. crying

The Invader Zim movie, titled Invader Dib, was to be a made-for-television movie. It would take place as the Season Five Finale, and the conclusion of the show itself. From what I've gathered, Dib tracks Zim to Irk itself, and aids the Resisty in successfully bringing down the Irken Empire. Zim and GIR are abandoned on a random asteroid, left for dead by the victorious Dib.
Obviously, it would have to be done by the folks that are working on the IZFAS (Invader Zim Fan-Animated Series), since anything past Tak's episode is considered to be Season Two. For the truly curious, you should try the AMAZING Invader Zim Site, URL:

The Battle for Meekrob is the fanbase name for the untitled Season Two Finale, which was a two-part episode. A whole hour of pure Zimmy goodness! There's lots of Invader Zim information out there, if you have the patience to dig deep...

ya there was supposed to be a zim movie but when zim got cancelled the movie did too. it pisses me off that some nickelodeon shows like chalkzone and my life as a teenage robot got tv movies and zim never did. oh well, if you look online, there are alot more zim fans than any other nickelodeon show fan!
anyway im working on a fanfic for my own zim movie. i am making it the way i would've wanted the series to end.

See, that's the nice thing about Zim fanfics. As the writer, you get to dictate what happens and what does not happen in the course of a story. Fanfics allow us Zim lovers to take the story even farther, or in directions that the producers of the show never dreamed possible. Just don't mention fanfics to Jhonen, though; it's said that he hates them, especially slash fic writers...
