Zeke was bored... He'd been walking all day today, as usual, and had already found something to eat. He continued to walk, stick-in-mouth, towards anything at all. Meandering without knowing the specific location of his goal had been fun for quite a while, but... Well, not so much anymore. He desperately wished for something to happen- other than him stepping on more grass. Or scaring off birds by just being there- that didn't count either. He'd never express his dismay at his solitary travels, however, no matter how bored he might get with them.
The dog shook his head as he wandered to get that thought out of his mind. No, no he was being ridiculous like a pup. And he wasn't a pup anymore! He gave his stick a few chews before stopping for a little break- just to see if he could find something to do for a little bit to entertain himself. He supposed worst-case would be that he'd whittle down the ends of his stick a little bit.

There were no sticks big enough for him to chew on, that would make a significant difference into him. Rune was a big dog; big for a Great Dane, anyway, and as wild as they came. But occasionally, he wanted to go to the city and see what kind of mischief he could cause. His great black frame stretched as he woke up from his afternoon nap, being extremely lazy about getting to the city. He looked out the mouth of his little 'den' he had found. It was a whole in some big huge tree that harbored him for as long as he could remember.
Red eyes looked toward the horizon and saw how bright it was and frowned. Why couldn't he ever sleep till night? He was always tired, it seemed. There was just no way about it. No matter what the big brute did, he was tired and felt like he needed something. Companionship maybe. Someone to talk too. His big paws carried him out of the den and towards the city. Who knew who he would meet on the way there.

The german shepherd dropped his stick at his paws and sat down with a mild yawn. He scanned the horizon- forest, grass... It was the same. That was, though, until he spotted a shadow amongst the wilderness. Dude- that guy was HUGE. Not like, fat, but just... Huge. Ezekiel had heard rumor of dogs that were that big, but hadn't ever seen one before. He pondered his options here- there were decent chances that this guy was not nice, and that this was his territory. The possibility also existed that he was just meandering through, not unlike himself.
One way or another... He was certain that he'd be spotted. Under normal circumstances, despite his boredom, Zeke wouldn't go messing with a guy that size, just in case. While he wasn't a pup... Well, he wasn't quite an adult either. However, he was sitting upwind- he would have to interact with the bigger dog somehow- be it a fight or otherwise. He hoped for the latter, but prepared for the former, licking his lips in preparation. He tried to make his lanky form seem a bit more bulky as he rose to his feet once more and prepared himself for whatever would unfold.
