Chapter two: The entire evening sky would be in the palm of my hand…
I know what you must be thinking. That Turles was killed around 50 years ago, how can he have such a young daughter, just hitting her 20’s? Well it was the period of time when a void was opened up, the other side of it being hell. She’s the daughter he never met. Goku only found out about her heritage after seeing her transform into Super Saiyan 1. Her mother, who was on this planet as well, explained what happened between her and Turles. For those 2 days he actually managed to stay on Earth, she described it as a holiday romance. She wasn’t a human being, she was actually from the Centriprian race, who look like exactly like humans, but just have these amazing purple eyes. Valasca had them, and it would mesmerise Goku every single time he would look into them, this amazing swirl of dark purple and black that would light up her face.
It was morning now, and Goku was just in a light sleeping state. As soon as he felt Valasca move in her sleep, snuffling her face deeper into his chest, he opened his eyes, to look down at her. He felt the corners of his mouth rise a little, into a small smile.
‘She’s so cute’ he thought to himself, and then sighed a little, turning his head to look at the alarm clock on the dressing table. He sighed, seeing how early it was, and wondered why he couldn’t get to sleep. He decided to train for a bit, that would definitely tire him out into a sleep. He gently unravelled Valasca’s arms from around him, and sat up, placing her down onto the bed properly, letting her head fall onto the pillow. Her dark, dark red hair was everywhere, which made him chuckle a little. He carefully, trying not to wake her up, sorted her hair out, and then leaned down, and placed a sweet kiss on her forehead, moving her fringe out of the way with his nose. He then stood up again, and slipped his orange gi on top of the blue one he was already wearing, and then sat down on the bed, picking up one of his boots from the side, and pulling them on. As he was doing so, Valasca opened her eyes gently, having been woken up by Goku’s constant banging hit foot onto the dressing table as he was putting his boots on, and then cursing himself a little. It would make her giggle every single time, but this time she just smiled.
‘Never going to get bored of this…’ She thought to herself, gently lifting herself up into a sitting position, and then gently wrapped her arms around him, snuggling into his back.
“Did I wake you up?” Goku curiously asked.
“Yeah, but don’t worry. Glad you did…” She whispered back, and he turned around to face her. She moved her arms to around his neck now, placing them on the back of his neck. “You look sad this morning… What’s wrong?”
“Nothing…”
“Tell me.” She encouraged, bringing his face up to look at her, with placing her index finger underneath his chin, and gently pulling up.
“Just… Didn’t get any sleep last night again…” He revealed.
“Thinking about your family again?” She asked sweetly, and he sighed, whilst nodding, and then placed his hands over his face.
“I don’t get it; I thought this was the best thing to do. I miss all of them.” He said.
“Then go and see them.”
“I can’t.” He said, looking at her again. “The boys… They’ll hate me.”
“If they really love you… They’ll understand that you need someone, and that it wasn’t your fault for falling in love again.” She said, and he looked at her, shocked at what she just said. “I heard you last night…” She revealed, a little cheeky smile appearing on her lips, which made him chuckle a little. “Your wife died Goku… And you needed someone. They’ll understand, they’re your sons, and you need to see that Grand daughter of yours as well.” She said, placing a hand on his cheek, wiping a tear which surprisingly dropped from Goku’s eye. “It’s been 20 years.”
“And… You won’t hate me if I go back and see them again?” He curiously asked, and another small smile appeared on her lips.
“I’ll only hate you if you don’t come back to me afterwards.” She playfully teased him, which caused a smile to appear on his face, which made her laugh.
“If I could reach up and grab a star every time you made me smile… The entire evening sky would be in the palm of my hand.” He suddenly came out with.
“Wow… When did you get so good at that sort of talk?” She asked.
“I learnt from the best.” He teased her.
“Aha yeah, don’t ever forget that.” She teased back, making both of them laugh. He then leaned forward, but Valasca stopped him, by placing a hand on his chest.
“Not before brushing teeth.” She stated which made him whine a little, and her laugh.
“Fine, meany.” He replied, and then stood up from the bed. “I’m going to train for a bit okay?”
“Just… Think about what I said… About you going to see your family back on Earth.” She reminded him, and he nodded.
“I will… Thanks Val.” He replied, and she smiled, as he walked out of the room with that.
“Val… I like that.” She whispered to herself, and then nodded. “Yeah.”
