The First Fantabulous Guild Tournament . . . Thing!
Ever since Ryugi and I started this Guild, I always had this little idea in my head, that once the Guild got big enough, we could hold our own little Tournament. Given how well the Guild is going, I thought it high time to at least attempt it. :3
Now, before you ask, there is a prize here - either 20,000 Gaia Gold, a WiFi Mew(in a Cherish Ball - lv.5, UT - provided by Aly) or a Generation V Pokemon for you to use in-Guild, if you win the Tournament.
Those coming in second and third can have either 10,000 Gaia Gold, an Event Celebi or a Satoshi's Pikachu (provided by yours truly).
Of course, all participating get bragging rights. wink
In order to sign up for the Tournament, simply post your username, trainer name and Friend Code in this here thread. However, all requests MUST be in by the end of November, no later - unlike the matches themselves, this can't be negotiated.
Provisional Tournament Start Date: 14th December, 2010 - this may change, depending on all sorts of factors.
Rules
1. You MUST enter with a full team of six Pokemon, all fully evolved. I would also advice you not to build your team around double battle tactics, as the matches will be single battles unless those participating decide otherwise. All items are allowed until further notice. The moves Explosion and Self-Destruct ARE allowed, though use is regulated under the usual rule - if the battle is down to the last two/four Pokemon, Explosion/Self-Destruct cannot be used.
2. Running away from the battle automatically counts as a loss, while a disconnection, either intentional or unintentional, counts as a tie/draw, and will result in new match-ups.
3. Match-ups will be randomly designated - people will roll a dice, and whoever's numbers are closest will be matched up. e.g. A rolls a 2, B rolls a 4, C rolls a 1, D rolls a 2. A is paired with D, B is paired with C. If requested by both participating in the match, match-ups can be dissolved and re-done ONCE.
4. Once a match-up has been approved and those participating are happy, the two battling will decide upon a date on which to battle - once a date has been decided, it will be updated to the 'League Board' (this post). Once the battle has taken place, the result will be recorded on 'League Board', and match-ups for the next round decided.
5. When it comes to 'Uber' tier Pokemon (e.g. Mew, Mewtwo, Lugia, Celebi, Kyogre, etc.), trainers MUST inform their opponent of their intentions, except in the case of of Salamence and Garchomp - pseudo-legendaries don't require a warning, just as Pokemon like Zapdos, Suicune, etc, don't. If the opponent agrees, then the Pokemon can be used - otherwise, you will have to use other Pokemon.
