heart heart heart heart heart +++ (this is one of my all-time favorite products, honestly)

INFO: According to the eos ("evolution of smooth") web page, this lip balm smooths on clear and provides long lasting moisture. It is paraben-free, among other things, and USDA certified organic. I purchased this in Summer Fruit, and the taste is delicious.
PACKAGING: Seriously, every review of this little guy starts out with the packaging. It's the cutest thing ever! It's an orb with a flat bottom, so it doesn't roll away, and the top screws off to reveal a half-orb of product inside. Guaranteed to get a second glance from those around you. wink Plus, it's made from recycled materials, so it's ecofriendly, though if you keep it in a bag/pocket prone to lint, the lint will stick to it. It's not the most portable thing ever, but it's extremely ergonomic. It is applied with one stroke to both lips, or generously to each lip. Definitely takes some getting used to; this is not your run of the mill chapstick. xp They also have it in stick version that I have not tried
PROS: This is hands down my favorite lip balm. I would recommend this little guy to EVERYONE. It makes my lips so soft and smooth. Its not gritty or greasy like some chapsticks are, and doesn't leave a film on the lips. I apply it every night religiously, and often times use it during the morning. It lasts for several hours; I usually don't have to reapply it during nice weather, though I do have to use something else when it's dry/windy/very cold outside.
CONS: At the time of purchasing, eos did not have an option with sunscreen, which kind of bummed me out. The Lemon Drop flavor has since been released with SPF, though I kind of wish they all did.
This product can go on a little heavy if you use a heavy hand, and probably isn't suitable for layering lip color over. It's also not very good if your lips are already chapped or have dry skin. I exfoliate them and then layer this on top; it works like a charm.
REPURCHASE?: Definitely. Mine is just about gone; I'm planning to purchase the Lemon Drop and the Sweet Mint flavors next. You can purchase this at CVS, but you have to go looking in the lip balm aisle/display (usually near the toothpastes/other oral care products).

UPDATE (30 October 2010): So, I purchased the Lemon Drop version of this lip balm the other day to replace my Summer Fruit, and I figured I'd update this review. The Lemon Drop is different in that it has SPF 15, whereas the others do not. I do like it and it does almost as good a job as the Summer Fruit, but it goes on a little grittier and doesn't absorb quite as well. My lips are still smooth, but with a layer on them that didn't happen with the non-SPF formula. I am going to continue to use it, but I would recommend purchasing any other flavor, because this product is definitely better without the SPF.
