Here's my story I call it Curse of Emily:

The van zoomed down the highway. Inside there was a relatively normal family. The mother and father were talking about financial affairs. The children in the back paid them no attention and continued to stare out the various windows, or sleep. After about an hour into the trip the youngest child, a girl called Emily, asked the most commonly known question while driving: “Are we there yet?”
The mother and father stopped their chat to reply that they were almost there. They immediately resumed their talk, now on the subject of polotics. The eldest child, a boy named Bryon, whispered into Emily’s ear: “We’ll be there in another 2 hours. Why don’t you take a nap, that will pass the time.”
The middle child, Johanna or Jo for short, looked away from the window and gave her brother a look that said: “Good idea, get her to shut up.” Then she mindlessly turned back to look at the rolling hills outside the car.
Bryon tuned out his mother and father for the rest of the trip so he could think. Was it his turn this time? Would his parents really not notice like they had last time? Emily hadn’t been born, Jo had been seven, Bryon had been eleven, and Liz . . .
The van stopped suddenly which jolted Bryon from his seat. Jo lurched forward and smacked her face against the window, and Emily woke up wild-eyed.
“What’s happening?” Emily questioned confused and still a little sleepy.
“Owwwwww . . . . my face!” moaned Jo. She was rubbing her cheek, which was all red now, she would probably have a nasty bruise tomorrow.
“Oh is that right! When would the kids EVER be just sooooo much better off with you!” shrieked the mother. Bryon hadn’t been listening when the conversation between his mother and father had gotten on the thin ice of their relationship. The parents had been like this for a while now and it was all the kids could do to keep them in the same house.
“Well maybe you should leave!” screamed the father. The car got silent.
“What hap-“ Emily started but Bryon covered her mouth before she could finish.
“Don’t” whispered Jo. Emily pulled away Bryon’s hand and lay back down. Jo looked at their mothers taken aback face and silently slipped into the seat next to Emily.
“Wha-wha, they’re my children too! You should be ashamed. I mean if either of us should get full custody, it should be me! I mean I gave birth to them!” the mother screamed.
The father sat there silently. Then he took the keys and got out of the car. He walked up the road till we could barley see him anymore.
“The H-eck is he doing?! Is he stranding us out here? Because I will not stand for this!” The mother rambled as she too, got out of the car. She turned back and motioned for Bryon to lock the doors from inside. Then she hurried off up the road after the father.
“Bryon, where are they going? Are they leaving us here alone?” whimpered Emily.
A single tear started to well up then slid down her face.
“Emily stop that! You know you have to be strong now!” yelled Jo. She may have been four years younger than Bryon but she was far more headstrong. She whipped the tear from Emily’s cheek, then looked out the window. It was getting dark and their parents were still out there. After a while Jo lost all patience.
“Where are they!? How long has it even been!? They’re both horrid parents and they should BOTH be ashamed! I swear if-“ Jo started.
“No swearing while mom and dad are gone.” Emily stated quietly.
“Ha, ha, that’s sooooooo funny! I honestly don’t care!” screamed Jo.
Emily sat there quietly while Jo went on about how stupid little kids can be. Bryon looked up the road a little but saw no sign of his parents. He unlocked the door and stepped out of the van. Cool air came over him and he found himself shivering.
He turned back to the car, “You coming? Or should I go alone?” he asked. Jo immediately stepped out of the van trailing Emily along with her. Bryon slammed the door and started up the road. After a while Emily started to complain but Jo shut her up. Eventually they reached the top of a huge hill where they could look down and see their van. Their parents were nowhere to be found.
“You don’t think they walked all the way to . . . “ Jo trailed off. But the implied effect lingered.
“It is a possibility . . .” muttered Bryon. He once again submerged into memories of the summer three years ago. The last time they had come this way. Bryon, Jo, and . . . Liz, his older sister. His parents had been relatively the same as this time. When they got to the cabin all the kids had gone for a walk in the woods. They had found an out cropping of rocks that made a sort of fort. It was Bryon who had insisted they look inside. Liz led the way and they found themselves in a small cave like room with paintings smeared across the walls. It had happened so fast. Bryon could barely remember it’s face . . .
“Bryon . . . BRYON!” Jo yelled into his face ripping him from his nostalgic slumber. “You thinking about what I’m thinking?” she asked quietly so that Emily couldn’t hear.
“Yea . . . I almost remembered it’s face.” Bryon muttered to her.
“Lets go in the woods! I want to find a deer!” squealed Emily. They had just come around a bend that led down to a small forest, the same forest.
“No” stated Bryon and Jo in unison.
“But I want to see a deer!” complained Emily. She looked from Bryon’s face to Jo’s face, searching for weaknesses to poke at. After seeing that they were set on their answer she cried out “Fine I’ll go alone!” and ran off down the road to the forest.
Bryon and Jo ran after her but Emily was a brie little thing and she flew by trees faster that a bullet.
When Bryon caught up to her it was too late, they were exactly where they didn’t want to be. Jo slowly came forward from the trees.
“No, no . . . . . . no” she muttered.
“Lets look for a deer in there! I want to go!” she pulled Bryon and Jo forward toward the outcropping of rocks. Bryon felt all the blood drain from his body and he limply let Emily pull him forward. He was too weak to even look over to see what Jo was doing.
Emily stopped in the center of the cave. Bryon looked over all the paintings. They were the same but something had changed. Suddenly long ago memories dreged up from the depths of his mind right as it appeared. Of Liz and of the thing itself. Then darkness enveloped him and he saw in full detail exactly what Liz saw that night three years ago. The thing was death, evil, and it had the eyes of a murderer. To Bryon it was everything he could have ever feared because the thing was fear itself, and it was the last thing Bryon saw.
Jo stumbled out of the cave closely followed by Emily.
“Where’s Bryon!? Jo why did you do that? Why didn’t you let me see?! Where’s Bryon!?” Emily screamed and screamed at Jo, but Jo sat impassive. The paintings were the same but there was something that changed. As Bryon was taken by fear she saw behind it a new painting. The painting was of a girl and it hadn’t been smeared or worn like the others. It had had something that chilled her to the bone, it had had a small mole drawn next to thee mouth, just like Liz.
“I’m going to look for Bryon, since you won’t tell me where he went!” Emily shot back into the cave before Jo could say no. She stopped in the center. The room had changed in the time that they had been outside the cave. There was something new splattered on the wall. It was of a boy, and he had one dimple on his cheek. Emily fell to her knees. She knew who it reminded her of. The person who she looked up to, the person who protected her, it was Bryon. She stood up and her knees where red. Then from the far corner she heard something. Thinking it was Bryon she went over to it. It was a small baby that had a name tag around it’s neck, it read: Emily #4

Hope you enjoy it!
