This is the prologue to either my manga or my novel, Wicked Muse.
It's been critiqued and edited before, and I feel like giving it another run-through...

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
But can only one person be equivalent to the world? Could one such person deserve the world? Most likely your answer is "no." What if that individual's world was lost, and another wanted to replace it with someone else's? Still, the answer is probably "no," because what will become of the one whose world was taken and given away? That person is forgotten by the rest of the earth. He is dead to the world. There's nothing quite like losing everything you had lived for at someone else's expense. There had been a myth spread about a man who would so cruel as to do something of this nature, the feral Evin Kilbane.
A few decades after his death and conviction in Hell, Evin was freed in exchange for promising to lure more people to the corrupt side of society. Instead of doing as he promised, he sought out candidates for the reincarnation of his fallen love. Though there is a trick to this: there must be seven candidates to create one of Her. Each would have one aspect of her personality. Each would be a physical embodiment of a Chakra. Each would have to be killed in order to be reborn with their supernatural gifts.
He murdered the girl dubbed as the Third Eye Chakra first, causing his love to be dropped out of purgatory and dorment in a different person. The Third Eye Chakra is on the sixth level, so she, Aspidistra Viera, should have been the sixth to die. He took the life of his own Third Eye Chakra, Lucas Giroux.
Each aspirant is a vessel, they all have a weapon, Chakra stone, and vital force, an "eidolon," associated with their Chakra contained within their body. Azi's weapon is a crystal ball, "Heaven's Eye," through which she has an omniviscient view of the world and all that is in it. Lucas's weapon is a scythe, he was ordered to seek and kill the other other embodiments so Evin could find the person in whom Fae is dorment. If Evin had killed them all, it would be a long and complicated process getting them back to Earth, but if Lucas uses his scythe it is much more convenient. But, just to perk things up a bit, Evin promised Lucas the leadership of the candidates. He could have his own army, his own battalion, to assist in ridding the world of corruption.
It is left to Aspidistra to seek the Chakras, and Lucas to 'liberate' them. They aren't happy that they must go through this, they just understand what must be done. Seeing as all the embodiments have witnessed the deaths and memories of Fae and Evin in their dreams, each one of them could recognize Evin if he came for them. As for Lucas, he is alone in convincing them to join his side.
