What do you have in your Author-Survival kit? Snacks? Caffeine? What do you recommend?

Wear:
Fingerless gloves. A must for any writer - although it's summer here so I won't be wearing 'em.
I usually tuck a favourite pen into a pocket or the waist of my pants as some sort of weird inspiration.

Drink:
Coffee. It's a must.
Energy drinks such as V - the flavour is inspiring, but I used to drink it during study for exams so that might be it.
Juice.

Eat:
Gummy bears!
Pocky
Nothing that drops too many crumbs or leaves the fingers greasy...
Tuna-fish sandwiches. Brain food!

Let's see… I have pretzels to munch on, pocky if I can afford to go to the store and get it, and a corner to sit in. I can't write well unless I'm in a corner of some sort. Oh! What Sanguina said; fingerless gloves. They are marvelous.

For me, it's a pen, a pocket watch, my Author's Necklace and my notebook.

I love the Cuba Energy Drinks. They taste wonderful. I sometimes do 5hour energy and tea- or a Hail Mary, which is a spicy chai with a shot of esspresso. I heard down in San's neck of the woods there's a Voodoo energy drink or something that has to do with Papa Legba. I want to try it someday.

Eaty-things- I like Hello Panda and Melon Hi Chew, dried mango and peanut M&Ms.

I think it's Australian...? I don't think I've seen it. Then again, we have a LOT of energy drinks, so it might be hiding somewhere.

You gotta show us this author's necklace wink

Over the course of last year's NaNo, I've developed a bit of a reliance on Fruit by The Foot.
I always have a pen, a notebook or paper of some sort, and lots of caffeine. Although, sleep is important, weekends are good for sleepless nights of writing.

It's basically a symbol to show my husband "Can't talk, NaNoing!"

I plan to have it in my cover art hidden somewhere.

For me it's simple...

Random:
Music, closed door and window. No entry allowed.

Food:
Chocolate, pop tarts, cookies, yogurt covered pretzels, etc. Eat without looking foods.

Drinks:
Water
Fruit flavored V8

I like Altoids. xd Or tic tacs.

I usually go out to eat buuuuut, also trying to save money. I love tea and cookies. Yum!

Notebook is a must, with a good pen. I don't like to lug around my laptop, but at the same time.... gonk I hate transferring words to my lappy. ugh.

Dunno what else. Good net connection?

I'm making one as I go this year. I figure I'll need it ;p

For the moment...I'm going to try for either a grape Propel Water (my favorite bottled water EVAR) or a Sobe water of either tangerine or grape something or another flavor. Usually have some form of soda around since it's an addiction and also the caffeine. I hate coffee. For snacks I usually have a whole bag of pretzels in my room and then I have a bag of hard candy so I think that's good. Since I'm going to write in spurts (goals, such as like 500 words and then break) I think I might reward myself with some fresh fruit if we have it and peanut butter, also good for the brain, or mine at least. Helps me not be hungry and distract me from writing.

My laptop is a must have though I'm going to try for the notebook and pencil thing. It's still school in November so that should be pretty easy, really. And lastly my Scotty Doggie print lounge pants 'cause those things are just comfy ;p

I don't have much of a survival kit. Mostly Mello-Yello or the closest generic equivalent. Whatever Halloween candy is leftover. Soothing music.

I've just realized that since I'm living on my own there will not be any left over Halloween candy neutral

I agree with everyone about food that isn't greasy or leaves crumbs. You don't want anything to stop you from writing when you get that great idea for a sentence. For me it's mints. They are awful for me but at least my mouth will smell nice after hours of sitting in front of a screen.

I'm not much of a coffee person, but if things start to get crazy I'll just eat the coffee beans that got left at my place. I'm sure it will add some excitement to my writing style xD But really it's just important to stay hydrated, even if you just continuously drink water it will help you stay awake at night without the coffee crash.

Note on door that says: "Please take a moment to look back on your life before you open the door. Death will come without mercy. P.S. Mom, if it's food, leave it on my coffee table."

Fingerless gloves, Favorite mug, Laptop, PSP (for listening to music on the go), Pajamas, Slippers, USB Stick, Notebook, Pencil case (filled with pens and pencils), Earbuds

Food:
Strawberry Pocky, Giant bag of Sour Patch kids Watermelon, and those delicious sandwich wraps from Costco

Drink:
Tea. yum_tea Lots and lots of tea, should the unspeakable happen and I *gasp* run out of tea, hazelnut coffee and International Delight.

Lol! XD

I love tea too! I think I will wear my fingerless gloves too. It's usually cold in November. ):

Ugh, I'll be up all night that day as well. It's going to be a long day! crying
