He stood out in the cold winds the snow blowing against his legs. He shook and turned to the hooded girl that now walked the road with him. The city was maybe twenty,thirty miles from here. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a purple scarf wrapping it around his face. They would need to find shelter soon. They were both tough, winter was tougher.

Her hood kept her face warm and her claok kept the rest of her warm but if they got wet then they would be of no use. The cloak had to be kept above the snow to keep it from melting into the cloak. She looked over at Drake. He had put on a scarf. She hoped they got to town soon. or at least found a car to drive or something. She didnt know if they would be able to walk this entire road to the town. ⇦ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Drake kept looking ahead trying to spot anything that might serve as a shelter or a ride. He saw a car slumped down on the side of the road, the tires clearly flat. Well, he thought, at least it's a shelteruntil morning. He nudged Sorrow and pointed to the abandoned car.

Drake grabbed the cold handle and pulled as hard as he could. The door opened a little, just enough for them to slip in.He got inside and waited for Sorrow to get in.

She put her freezing hands together to keep them warm then put them between her legs for even more warmth. She had removed ehr hood first so that she could look at Drake. She gave him a light smile. Drake scooted himself closer to her and wrapped his arms around her. He smiled as he felt her near him.
"The snow is getting worse." He said. "I'm thinking we might have to dig out in the morning. We'll have to find a ride or we'll be walking for weeks with this weather."
He slipped off the pack Jhon had given him before on the truck and took out a two MRE's. He set one in front of Sorrow and one behind him. He went right back to holding her and gently laying his head on her shoulder.

 Kasuke Wolffe had been stalking the same people for a while now. He hadn't seen any humans in a long time. Not since the start of the Apocalypse. The man and the woman, obviously from south of the border, walking in his peoples land. "The strangest thing...." He thought as he raised his bow and strung an arrow through it. "That I have to do this..." He thought to him self as he pulled the bowstring back, the bow coiling in anticipation. "To two of the smartest Americans on the planet." he finished his thoughts as they climbed into a vehicle. "Damn.... Missed my shot.... But... I don't care.... I should take them before the elders... maybe they will see that it is safe to let others in here...." he said as he put his bow and arrow back over his shoulder with one hand and pulled his knife out with the other. Making sure his weapons were secure, he ran low and fast through the vehicles to the car they had taken refuge in. He crouched low below the windows and stopped under the passenger side window. Waiting for them to step out.

But it was then she saw movement. Barely. In the rear view mirror, she saw the top of someones head quickly flash through the mriror. IF she hadnt been looking around she would never had caught it. Pulling her gun quickly and letting go of Drake she put her finger to her mouth to let him know to be very quiet. She lightly placed her hand on teh door handle. Gun ready. With a flash of the phantom that she is she quickly opened the door, stepped out, gun ready and saw out fo the corner of her eye, a man hudled with a knife close to the car. He was waiting for them to get out. She didnt hesitate. Her gun was raised to his head before he could do anything. Her face serious. who are you? she asked. This man obviously didnt know how good she was at what she did. Which was not only defend, but fight.This guy would be in for a rude awakening if he decided to do anythign supid. With a quick flick he pulled out the pipe from his belt and was out of the car, the movement almost a blur. His body seemed strangely used to this.The fighting, the fast precise movements, almost like he were trained. He looked to the man and then up to Sorrow. This was strange. A man out here in the woods and he wasn't even shivering. He looked around at the surrounding, almost suffocating trees to make sure the man was truly alone. It was hard to tell, the snow was bright and stung his eyes. The man seemed a little too calm though and Drake stayed ready to fight, anyone that calm had to have someone watching their back... or they really were that tough, really that dangerous. Either way, Drake was ready.

Silence is the secret to sanity"」 Silence walked along the narrow road that led through the snow covered trees. She was cold. And hungry. She didnt know how long she had been walking for. She only knew she hadnt seen any signs of life through the north at all. She was beginning to wonder if it was all just a lie to send her up her for no good reason. Or just to send her here to die. She looked around. There was a car or two that had been abandoned long ago on the side of the road every now and then. But where were the people that were in those cars?
Everything was silent and not a sound was made but the wind passing by her cold ear. The wind was like needles on her skin and everytime she tried to touch her arm or any other place exposed, it just ended up hurting her. She hoped to god she wasnt getting frost bite. She didnt want to have to apputate her own limbs.
It was then she heard a noise. With a press of a button on her glove her blades extended from her forarm, glistening off of the bright snow. She hadnt seen a zombie for quite awhile. In fact hse hadnt seen one since she got knee deep in the snow. Had one managed to survive in teh cold climate. She would find out. She began to make her way toward the niose. Being sure to keep behind the trees and in the shadows of anything she could. She didnt want to be seen.

Kasuke dropped his knife as the woman instructed him. "My name is Kasuke Wolffe. I am native to this land, why have you come here? You have brought the dead ones here with you. Please... You must come with me to the elders of my village. They must know that people have survived from the south. We have been huddled in the mountains since the dead rose." he explained. "You know who I am.... Now who are you?" he asked them both.
