#1-Mushrooms

Before we start the quest, you may be wondering where Ajira is. Ajira is the khajiit that sells potions in the Balmora Guild of Mages. She's a good quest-giver to start with since she has the simplest quests. Even though you can't complete the last two when you first see her, you can get a start. And now for why you're reading this...

In this quest, you're to collect four mushrooms for Ajira. She asks you for Violet Coprinius, Luminous Russula, Bungler's Bane, and Hypha Facia. The easiest way to collect the mushrooms is to get them when you're at Seyda Neen in the beginning of the game...or you can just go back there and collect the mushrooms. You'll eventually find them all if you head north from Seyda Neen. Once you collect them all, just give them back to Ajira and she'll give you some nice potions. (I think)

#2-Fake Soul Gem

Now, Ajira is telling you that she wants you to put a fake soul gem into her rivals desk. She also tells you to hurry so that Galdebir doesn't return before you do it. So, just stroll upstairs and slip the fake soul gem into Galdebir's desk. Then you can walk on back to Ajira and tell her of your accomplishments.

Note:
If you are interested in stealing some of Galdebir's stuff, but are scared to get caught, wait until Galdebir gets to the bottom of the Mages Guild and then leave the guild by either transportation or walking, then enter a couple of other houses or shops and the switch to make her go back to her desk will turn off. To ensure that it works, go to a different town and wait for around an hour.

#3-Flowers

Well, I bet you saw this one coming...now Ajira wants you to get some flowers. She also mentions that they can be found near Lake Amaya. If you want to save time, and you're in the Temple, head to the Fields of Kummu which is just north of Lake Amaya. Lake Amaya is west of Suran. On the map, it's the larger body of water near Suran. Just head north of that body of water and pick the flowers you need: Heather, Gold Kanet, Stoneflower, and Willow Anther. Also, make sure you give muck to the shrine to complete one of the Pilgramages of the Seven Graces for the temple. If you don't have muck on you, head south and look for a small island with a whole bunch of muck on it. Then you can give the flowers to Ajira and she'll reward you. (I think)

#4-Ceramic Bowl

And once again, it's one of Ajira's simple errands. (Kinda like Telvanni) She wants you to go to Ra'Virr's and buy her a ceramic bowl. She gives you 10g, but it doesn't cost anywhere near that...so you get the change. Once you get her the bowl, go back to her and you'll find out that someone has stolen her reports!

#5-Stolen Reports

Now Galdebir is seeking revenge on Ajira for the soul gem. Of course, if you talk to her, she will be offended that you think she would ever steal something from a fellow guild member. If you look in the bed area under the dresser, you'll see one of the reports and underneath the stairs behind some baskets, you'll see another one. Give the reports back to Ajira and she'll reward you with a fresh batch of potions she worked very hard on for you.

#6-Staff of Magnus

Ajira won't tell you about this until you're a Magician. She sends you off to recover the Staff of Magnus. It's not that great of a staff, but it's good and looks cool which is a plus. The staff is in Assu which is on Mount Kand. It takes a while to get there, but once inside, you'll have to face some daedra and a mage. Then you'll see a rock coming out of the water. You'll need levitate to get there. Once you get across, there is an atronach and a sorceress who has the staff. Kill them both and recover the staff. When you show Ajira, she will congratulate you and you get to keep the staff.

#7-Warlock's Ring

Okay, you won't get this quest until you're a wizard. (That's weird...you'd think you'd get it when you were still a warlock...) The Warlock's Ring, like the Staff of Magnus, is okay. Not all that great, but it can be helpful. (It also costs a whole bunch so it's hard to get rid of!) She'll tell you to go to Ashirbadon east of Bal Fell to find Vindamea Drethan who is the current owner of it. All you have to do, is go to Vivec, then head south-east to Bal Fell which is the biggest island south of Vvardenfell. Then from there, head east to the next island and you'll see a cavern door looking very much like a bandit cave. Once inside, kill the woman and you're good to go. (make sure you have levitate...I think)

#1 and #2-Persuade Him, Make Her Pay

Before any quest, you have to find the person. Ranis is located in the Balmora mages guild. If you enter from the ground floor instead of the stairs, she is the first person you run into. Ranis is the only person that gives out advancement and that can let you join (I believe) in the Balmora mages guild.

Athrys asks you to get a former Telvannian to join the mages guild. She also says that if he refuses, you can kill him. He is in Sulipund, which is north of a Dwemer Stronghold she marks on your map. Sulipund is a Dwemer Dome and you can find Mr. Bereloth on the top of the dome. If you get his disposition up to seventy via persuasion, he'll join. Otherwise, taunt him until he attacks you. (Or you can attack him and have everyone else in the stronghold attack)

On the way there, Athrys asks you to also collect guild dues from an ex-member, or kill her. Her name is Manwe and she is in Punabi. She owes the guild 2,000 and apparently doesn't care about the guild. She says she's not a member anymore. Either get her disposition up to 60, kill her, or pay the dues yourself.

#3-Bad Argonian

Apparently Only-He-Stands-There offers training without permission of a guild that he doesn't even belong to. And Ranis wants you to make him stop. You can get his disposition to 60, kill him, or you can lie to Ranys. He'll say that if you tell Ranis he stopped, that he'll offer you training. Now that's a way to strike back at that cold-hearted person who sends you off killing everyone.

#4-Escorting

There is a new scholar that has arrived...and you are to escort him to the Halfway Tavern in Peligiad. Ranis wants his notes. She couldn't care less if he made it there alive. Infact, you can kill him yourself if you don't want to take him there. Just give her his notes. You'll find him in the Eight Plates. But before you kill him or let him get killed, keep in mind he has a really strong spell if you're not a very high level yet and that you get a reward if he stays alive...

Note:
Make sure that before you leave the Halfway Tavern, you talk to Itermerel about his notes...otherwise he won't give them to you and it really stinks to forget and have to walk all the way back to Peligiad.

#5-Necromancer Kill

Ranis doesn't like Necromancers. There's a necromancer in the mages guild too...but if Ranis doesn't know, you won't be sent to kill her. She's the orc on the lower floor in Balmora. But anyway, Ranis sends you off to Maar Gan to kill Tashpi Ashibael. When you get there, you'll find out Tashpi isn't a necromancer at all...she's a healer. You can kill her, or rat out Ranis. If you tell on Ranis, she'll say it was a grudge she has been holding for a long time and that she should leave for the mainland. Report to Ranis that she is dead and you'll complete the mission.

#6-Telvanni Spy

Ranis says there is a spy somewhere in the mages guild. There are two people you can get booted. Ms. Ranis herself, or Tiram Gadar...Trebonius' main guy. If you talk to Trebonius about Mr. Gadar, he'll hand you the credentials from Ocatto himself...more like Acato. Give the note to Ranis and it's apparently the worst fake she's ever seen. Trebonius will be saved from the spy and you'll get a heafty reward.

The other way you could go is not rewarded, but you can get rid of the psyco that says "kill kill kill." Talk to Artorius and say that Ranis is the spy. However, you can only do this if you do not kill Itermerel (the scholar you escorted) and Tashpi Ashibael (the "necromancer").

#1-Chronicles of Nchuleft

Edwina is located in Ald'rhun...lower floor. She has a blue robe on, I believe, and is usually situated infront of the potion seller. Her first task for you is to get her a rare dwarven book called Chronicles of Nchuleft and she gives you 250g to use for expenses. The book only costs 50g...but she doesn't know that. There are two people I know sell it off the top of my head. They are Jobabsha in Jobasha's Rare Book Store (Vivec-Foreign Quarter) and the bookseller in Balmora. Just buy it and give it to Edwina.

#2-Detect Creature Potion

Apparently, Skink promised Edwina a potion and it's taking him a long time. She has now grown impatient and sends you off to Sadrith Mora. Talk to Skink about Detect Creature Potion and he'll appologize, giving you the potion. Take it back to Edwina and she'll be happy. (Skink will now be available to give out quests)

#3-Chimarvamidium

Edwina wants another book. Chimarvamidium. It turns out Sirilonwe has this book. Go to Vivec via teleportation, take a left when you get to the hallway infront of the stairs and then head right and through the doors. Slip into Sirilonwe's closet and close the door behind you. Sneak to make sure she forgets you're there. Then unlock the chest (Edwina gave you a scroll if you can't unlock yet) and take the book. If you read it, it will increase your heavy armor skill and if you read the other book, I believe it's your alteration that increases. Leave the closet, closing the door behind you and do not talk to Sirilonwe. Go back to Edwina and give her Chimarvamidium.
