Background:Leila was your average teenage girl in her early life. She was a very smart and responsible child that had a love for books. Little did she know that that love would be the cause of her transformation, her death as an average girl and her rebirth as a child of the night. One night as she exited the library and started her walk home she was attacked and bitten. A vampire had feasted on her blood. She tried to free herself from his grasp but as her blood drained she felt a burning sensation in her body and her sight slowly faded until she could only see darkness. She woke up in an ally just a few blocks from the library and the only thought that ran in her head was "I'm thirsty". The vampire that bit her left a note on her lap with a canteen. The note said "Welcome newborn child of the night. Quench your thirst." She opened the canteen, that was filled with blood, and drank without a second thought.
Leila knew what she had become so she fled. She fled from her family, friends and her beloved town. She fled with only a small amount of money and a trunk filled with clothes and her most important treasures. She became a loner, never getting to attached to people because she new they wouldn't accept her. She used to be friendly and outgoing but became reserved and mysterious. A fellow vampire she found once in New York suggested Académie du Ciel because she needed an education.So she decided to join the Academy, hoping that she found a place where she would feel accepted and be able to make friends.
Leila like various types of music, plays the violin, dresses mostly in green and brown attire, and likes reading.
Powers: She has super speed, strength and agility, can shape shift into various animals and forms, has heightened senses and she can read the minds of people if she drinks from them. She also has a talent called 'voodoo voice' that lets her hypnotize people to do her bidding. She still has a hard time controlling her powers, especially her shape shifting, strength and mind reading skills, which she sometimes considers annoying.
