 A clear note of song drifted on the lazy breeze, making many a critter raise their head to the source of the sound. A few could be observed closing their eyes to listen to the melody gently caressing their ears. The sweetest of songs to have rang the morning air. However, if anyone was wishing to follow the sound, they would find something they didn't expect.
Lona was on her belly in the sweet grass, her head raised high in song. She wasn't singing with words, just making a melody with her voice. At her side sat a black and white Rit, the creature's head resting in her paws, one ear turned towards the green mare. Lona wasn't the prettiest of the Nequus, but she made up for it with her voice.

A tall dark figure makes there way threw. Walking steady the dark figure hears a distant melody coming from the side of him. He turns his head in catching better sound. He walks toward the melody. The melody becomes louder and louder, as the dark figure finds the source of the melody and sees what is laying in front of him. The dark figure questions the beauty.

 The black and red Rit at the feet of the mare raised her head when the sky above her suddenly got a little shady. Opening her red eyes, she regarded the black stallion with little interest, thinking he was just a passing by Nequus entranced by the song. It wasn't an uncommon occurrence.
Lona also felt the sky darken and opened her eyes. Her almost red eyes. Where most had white, she had a reddish, brown color. Leaving many to think she was quite the opposite from her sweet voice. In truth, she was the opposite from her looks.
"Yes?" she asked.

The dark figured Nequus approached slow and steady and asked "That sound? The melody? Was that ur precious melody?" The Nequus taking no intrest in the black and red rit and approached the Nequus.

Seeing no interest shown towards her, Niwa got up from where she was to lay down behind her Nequus friend. This wasn't a matter for her. This was for Lona. Perhaps once she accessed the danger or lack of from this new Jala, she would take off for a bit in search of a little something to eat.
Watching her little friend moving her position, Lona turned her attention back to the stallion in front of her. She dropped her eyes to the grass at his hooves when he complimented her. "Why, yes. That was me," she answered rather shyly. Forcing herself to look back up, she shifted one leg underneath her body with the other, preparing to stand up if needed.
