Two things, both pertaining to recent events.
One: I feel like I haven't been living up to expectations. I promised recruiting, there has been little. I said I'd clean up the guild, it's pretty much the same as before. I said I'd be active in the Official RP, and I haven't been, and it's been holding you all back, I feel.
Two: As of late, a concept for a series has me... intrigued. Allow me to elaborate. Firstly, a story of some variety that involves all major GML members. Followed by an origin story on one of them. Perhaps another origin story after that, followed by another full story. Origin, followed by interpersonal story, which would focus on the development of a relationship between around 2-5 characters. Full story.
The medium could be anything- Text, Print, Comic, Game, or even Movie. But lately I've been somewhat... obsessed, for lack of a better term, with the idea of getting a series of stories about the League out there in some way.
-------------------------
All this in mind, recall that I listed two obstacles between myself and activity some short time ago: Work and a School Paper. Work has calmed down significantly, and I'm nearing completion on the paper.
I want us to be well-known. Large? Perhaps. But well-known, maybe even famous on some level. Lately, I feel like I've been counterproductive to that end, and for this, I apologize. Right now, I humbly ask for all of you to do your best for the League.
I want you all to start recruiting soon. I know recruiting can be boring and even depressing. I know it might get tiresome answering the same questions over and over again. And I know that it might seem useless to recruit, when they'll just be inactive.
But I'll be damned if that's gonna stop me from recruiting. And I'll be damned if it's gonna stop me from being your leader. Demons would have to drag me to hell before I'd stop doing what I can for the league, and right now what I can do- nay, what we ALL can do, is work. Work together, work separately, work.
So, I humbly thank you all. Know that all you do for the League is appreciated, not just by a Leader, but by a high school senior, sitting at home in his room, typing up a promise to you all that he will make this guild, this group, this living, breathing entity, mighty and powerful. He appreciates it, because he can't do it alone.
-----------------------
By the way. Some time ago, I may have mentioned that I've been trying out a new advertising technique. Well, it's got more uses than just advertising. I'll post what I mean once I get a chance. Probably tomorrow.

Dude, it's not just your fault. It's everyone's fault, myself included. Just think: What makes those large, well-known Gaia groups so well known? Well, for starters, they have a large numbers of ACTIVE members, they are always in the middle of a conflict and they're just really good at RPing. We need all that to be well-known. And above all that? Time. We need time. This won't happen overnight or in about a month or two. It will take time to gain popularity. But I see what you're getting at...

You want a story? Really Wielder? http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=17565691There's a story. But there's more. I showed a friend this story, and he says I should consider expanding it. And so I shall. My next goal, If I can get my mom to let me anywhere near the computer for an extended period of time, is to expand this short story into a novel. The Sundering: A Gaian Mercenary League story. Followed by; The Gaian Mercenary League: Origins Followed by another story...

Honestly ... I constantly feel as though I'm in a state of letting the guild down. I don't really have any recruiting powers, I'm not one that would be very helpful in a town march or zomg situation. I pretty much just roleplay, and at a fairly average level at that.

But recruiting on Towns IS roleplaying. Walk up to another roleplayer in RP mode and challenge them to a fight and a plot will be born. Recruiting while OOC is not as successful as IC.

Oi. Here's what I mean by "New advertising Technique." The idea is that it makes this whole thing much more personal. I don't have a video camera, just a gaming headset, with a microphone. And some cool computer wallpapers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SR1zolmC-i0Enjoy, amigos. And yes, that's my voice, that's me speaking. I might do this sort of thing monthly, if you guys want me to, and if I have time. Otherwise, every two months, or else quarterly.

"Attention! The prince is speaking!" ⇛ I am the Prince. Humblest Sir Kain. Bards sing of my glorious tales. Clerics bless my name and muses crave my voice. But inside... this sanity is overwhelming...
Give me 2 hours and i'll have a video up!! -runs off to do it-
⇛ I'm a prince of false hope! An envoy of madness, the dashing highwayman. Classy rants, O' the insanity!!! Who is this person?? Could it be..me...? "So says Humblest Sir Kain"

☸☸Ratchet Lombax☸☸The two things I can use to explain how you do is, human and life. You are human and do what you can, along top of this, you have your own life with things going on also. If you had to be gone or was gone for awhile and came back, I'm sure everyone here would be understanding. People have started to join again that is something. People post more also.
