Questionable Shapeshifter

{ -o- } Kratos Lucca moved through the field of fresh blooms, a rare sight at this time of year. Though the trees were no longer golden and red, leaves were falling, and the earth was becoming bare...this clearing was still so full of life and color. The aromas were lovely...and she felt so plain.
She was boring and gray...and a dark mist followed her wherever she went. She was so ordinary compared to these flowers.
...But that was alright.
"So pretty~" Kratos cooed, gingerly petting the velvet petals with a paw.

 Abellio was enjoying a nice, pleasant nap. Winter was coming, but you wouldn't believe it in this nice little clearing he had come across. Flowers were everywhere and the earth still smelled fresh.
His key, held in a loving (strangling?) embrace by his neck ribbon, lay on his chest. Both his wings were outstretched to fully soak up the sunlight.
There was a slight crunching sound in the grass, and a quiet voice. Abellio froze, stiffening a little in a defensive position. Don't move, maybe they wouldn't notice him and just leave.

"Perhaps little Skropi would like a few..." Kratos said to herself out loud, "Oh, but maybe Bomb Tarts would feel ignored if I didn't bring any for him...Hmm..."
"?"
Kratos Lucca blinked a bit, a few red tears flicking off her lashes as she noticed Abellio...appearing to play possum. "A-are you alright?" she inquired, keeping her distance but still rather worried. "W-what...Are you okay?" she repeated.

Well, so much for that idea. Abellio opened one of his bright green eyes, looking sheepish. "Yea, I'm fine. J-just out enjoying the sun!" His voice cracked a little from nervousness. Females did that to him. Happened when you had a bratty little sister and overzealous admirers.

"I...I see."
Kratos tilted her head a bit in confusion but didn't question him too much--He appeared nervous enough. "I'll...I'll leave you be, then," she told him, moving back to the flowers. "...You shouldn't stare at the sun," she commented, watching as he stayed as he was, with eye opened still. Why was he so stiff?

"Ah, I-I'm not. Just at the sky a bit off to the side." Abellio rolled so he could sit up, tucking his wings snuggly against his back. The key swung on it's ribbon a bit, lightly thumping against his chest.
"I had my eyes closed before, so you kinda took me by s-surprise," he admited, which was part of the reason he was nervous.
((I assume their keys aren't always in their mouthes, so I just put it on his ribbon >.> Correct me if I'm wrong though.))

"I see...I apologize then," she told him with her soft voice, sniffing at the pleasant flora. "I can understand how one would be so at peace in a place like this..." Kratos added, "It is quiet...and such a beautiful sight in the barren season.

"It is very nice, isn't it," Abellio chirped. As long as the female wasn't too close, he didn't mind being social. "My name's Abellio, but you can call me Bell, or make up your own nickname if you want."

"Bell is nice," she told him, "I have my own: Klingel." She pulled up her golden orb from a patch of grass, showing it to him briefly before placing it back down. "...Klingel's not an actual ring-ring bell..b-but...well, it comforts me like one..."
Her ears seemed to droop sadly, but there really wasn't a time she wasn't depressed. Though for now, her ever-flowing tears seemed to darken in their reddish hues.
...Oddly enough, they never fell past her cheeks. Or onto the ground. But they kept coming.
"My name is Kratos Lucca...I-I don't have a nickname like you do."

Abellio tilted his head. "Not all nicknames come from your name. I'm sure once someone knows you long enough they could make up your own nickname."
The red tears were slightly disturbing to him. It looked like Kratos' eyes were bleeding. "You're not hurt or anything, are ya?"

She shook her head; "No...I'm fine. It's nothing..." She picked a pretty little daffodil and let it go just as a wind blew by, the flower landing just in front of Bell. "And I wouldn't think someone would bother to stay around me that long..."
Kratos Lucca, picked a few other flowers and tucked them into her ribbon loop so they wouldn't fall when she'd fly.

"Well you won't know until it happens," Abellio pointed out. "That's what friends and soul mates are supposed to be about, after all. So chin up!"
He picked up the daffodil the wind had plucked from Kratos' paw and held it out, smiling. It went against his nature to watch someone so down and not try to cheer them up.

A smile seemed to grow on her face, but if there was it disappeared abruptly. "...I suppose you are right--Thank you," she told him, before noting something. "You are not so nervous anymore," she pointed out.

Abellio blushed and looked down. "Ah, well. It's-it's kind of embarassing." He looked back up and had to drop his gaze again, the blush intensifying. You would almost think him a mix of green and red apples.
"I-I'm sorta kinda possibly maybe just a little bit......afraid of girls." There he said it! Abellio had to pull his ears over his face to hide the blush. What kind of self-respecting anything was afraid of girls?!

Kratos looked at him rather blankly, unsure if he was waiting for her to tease him or something. She appeared to not understand why he was so embarrassed..."You know what you fear...and you can admit it...that is something to be proud of," she said quietly before turning away from him. She clutched at her Klingel tightly, frowning in a weak manner.
"...T-that is...more than can be said...for me..."
