Post 1: Basic Information Post 2: CharactersOkay, this RP takes place sometime between the Kahrlan War and Tales of Symphonia. This means there will be a Chosen in the world, if anyone would like to take that possition, but keep in mind that the Chosen of this time will not complete his/her task of world regeneration. Also, this story will take place in Sylvarant. Feel free to bring in characers from Tethe'alla, but keep in mind you'd have to find a way for it to sound logical. I don't want any characters to be like the cannons from the game series, so be sure this character isn't exacly like Sheena. Sheena is an awsome character, but she doesn't exist in this time period. If it isn't against the guild rules(and I didn't see anything against it), there are a few cannon character positions available. These characters are Kratos, Mithos/Yggdrasil and Yuan. If there is a seperate cannon character you'd like to be that you think/know would be alive in this time period, please send me a note. Other than that, there really aren't any story specifics. You can lead this into an action, a romance, a comedy even a horror! Basically this RP is going where ever the writers take it. Be sure to make it transition though. Make things interesting. As for character profiles, I have provided a format you can use. However, feel free to use whatever format you would like. This is simply an example. In a Reply, I will copy and paste all the character profiles and information so that people who join don't have to scavange to find all the information. If you want a summery up to where we're at in the rp, pm me. I had to get rid of the synopsis, because I couldn't keep up on it. Sorry. As soon as you post your character profile and I have posted it in the characters list, you may begin! Have fun! biggrin NOTE: If I see something wrong about a character, such as a character being too similar to a character in Tales of Symphonia or the character being a Mary Sue/Gary Sue, I will ask for a few things to be changed. Sorry for any troubles this may cause. Username: Character's Name: Gender: Age: Race: Appearance:

Characters: Username: ChosenColetteBrunel Character's Name: Harmonious D'Arque Gender: Female Age: 17 Race: Human Appearance: http://colettethechosen.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2o3ot5 Status: Spell Caster and Healer Ancestory/family: Harmonious is a decendant of many musicians and singers, but her mother and father decided to become traveling merchants instead. Harmonious has a little sister, who dissapeared five years ago, shared Harmonious's love for music. Occupation: Traveler Homeland: N/A, she travels and doesn't stay in one place for very long. Languge usage: It is rare to see Harmonious use any slang or curse words. Harmonious doesn't use a lot of difficult words either. All in all, she speaks like a commoner. Personality: Harmonious is typically a very easy person to get along with. She is happy, driven and compassionate. However, Harmonious can be very impatient and she doesn't like it when people are rude. When people talk about things she doesn't like to hear about, Harmonious will listen anyway but later on she probably won't remember anything that was said. She is also very shy and not very strong physically. Harmonious has a deep fear of fire. Hobbies: Singing, listening to music and writing are among some of Harmonious's favorite things to do. Other things she enjoys are reading, swimming, being with animals and drawing. Talents: Harmonious is an amazing singer and good at playing various instruments, such as the irish flute, mountain dulcimer and bagpipes. She loves all types of music, but is talented with celtic. Favorite Food: Fruit, especially strawberries. Least Favorite Food: Any and all meat. Pet Peeves: When people correct english just because they want to sound smart and when people go out of their way to be rude. Harmonious especially despises when people pick on animals. Bio: When Harmoniouses sister dissapeared, she decided to travel on her own. She believed that her family's buisness would only hold them down and make it harder to find her. Harmonious and her sister were very close, but neither of them were close to their parents. Their parents were great people, but they had nothing in common with them and didn't agree with their beliefs. Fighting Style: Mage Skills/Magic: Harmonious can use basic healing artes, such as first aide and heal. She cannot use reserection. Harmonious can use recover, but she cannot heal major things, such as extreme poisons. Harmonious is especially good with water magic attack skills, such as tital wave, but she is really bad with fire type spells, such as fireball. Harmonious has always had a deep love for water and a deep fear of fire. She is about average with wind type moves as well as earth. She is good with light and mediocre at best with dark. Weapon(s): Her hair ornament, which is extremely hard. Quotes(s): "Let's move forward." Other Notes: N/A ------------------------------------------------------------------- Username: Evilweirdo 0 Character's Name: Kevin Izabran Gender: Male Age: 16 Race: Human/Angel (sort of) Appearance: This, but the hammers are shorter. His blue Cruxis Crystal is bound to his wrist. Status: Out on his own, presumed dead by most. Ancestory/family: He is of the Chosen lineage. His family includes his older sister and parents. Occupation: Chosen Homeland: Iselia, Sylvarant Languge usage: Rarely/never swears, not very harsh. The worst he says is "dang." Personality: Kind of like a male Colette, but a bit less ditzy. He is nice to people and a bit naïve. He is more strong-willed and assertive than Colette, however. Hobbies: Praying, helping people, playing the banjo Talents: Magical lucky clumsiness, healing Favorite Food: Mint chocolate Least Favorite Food: Bell peppers Pet Peeves: Mean/teasing people, Desians Bio: Kevin is the Chosen of this period. He completed most of the regeneration journey (all the seals but the Tower of Salvation) with his group (a knight, a witch, a mysterious mercenary, and a sorcerer), and he could no longer feel, speak, taste, etc. Things went really wrong when they were infiltrating a Desian base (at his own insistence, to rescue the prisoners) and fighting the Desian boss there. He was knocked back into the reactor while casting a spell, but one of his hammers fell in first and jammed up the works. Then he fell in, and the reactor messed up and exploded, destroying the building and probably all/most in it... Except Kevin. He was burned badly by the mana flux and explosion, and his mana signature was scrambled by it as well. Kevin later awoke in the rubble, somehow he had his senses of touch and taste back, as well as his ability to speak. Something else was weird as well. His Cruxis Crystal had a fancy new Key Crest on it. He didn't know why it was there, though. He went to the Tower of Salvation to try to finish the world regeneration, but no angels appeared to him. After hours of waiting, he left, but was attacked by Desians outside, which he escaped. He wandered, then discovered that he was presumed dead and a failed Chosen. Now he roams to look for answers and to help people where he can. Fighting Style: Two hammers (which can be thrown and magically reappear with him in that awesome fantasy way. He keeps them on his belt), lots of holy goodness. Skills/Magic: Good balance of light/healing magic and combat. BASE: Pow Hammer, Ray Pummel (throw hammer), Pummel (swing hammers sideways for two hits), Whack (Overhead swing of hammers), Divine Tempest (Light element Tempest with hammers), Divine Grace (heal self a little, raise magic defense), Demon's Bane (Hammer attack that deals much more damage to dark foes), Raining Hammers (Rapid hammer swings, finish with uppercut swing), Holy Ray (fire a ray of light from hand), Item Thief, Nimbus Hammer (fly up, throw hammer downward diagonally), Crusade (Attack and blast rocks). ARCANE: Hammer Whirlwind (Ring Whirlwind, but with hammers), Stardust Cross, Turn (blast foes back with holy power [like TotA overlimit entry], deals a little damage, but vulnerable as if spell had been cast), Dual Pummel (Swing hammers sideways for two hits, then again in opposite direction), Light Spear, Victory Light Spear, Angelic Light (Fly up with hammers spinning, small radius of holy light harms foes and heals allies). Torrential Hammers (Rapid hammer swings, finish with mighty uppercut swing), Pow Pow Hammer, Ray of Divinity (fire a ray of light from hand, which splits into three and homes in on targets [not infallible!]), Item Rover, The Wrathful Divine (crush foe between hammers), Holy Crusade (attack and blast rocks, then uppercut swing and blast more rocks in a circle). NOVICE: First Aid, Barrier, Recover MED: Nurse, Divine Cleansing (heal a little, cure one condition), Limited HIGH: Resurrection, Healing Circle, Unlimited (Several beams of light pummel small target area), Martel's Blessing (Large heal and wipe conditions) ANGEL: Judgement, Holy Song (in the TotA sense in that it heals a bit too), Grand Cross, Angel Feathers MYSTIC: Divine Light. Prayer: "O Goddess, cast your holy radiance upon the souls of the wicked, grant the righteous your holy blessing and- Dang it, I forgot the words again... Um, blah blah blah... Whoa!" Radiance from above blasts foes and applies Holy Song and First Aid effects to allies. "Thank you very much!" SECRET MYSTIC #2: Shining Bind. "Behold the greatness of heaven! Struggle against these holy chains... Shining Bind!" Shining Bind pwns stuff. "Please cease your evil ways!" Weapon(s): Two hammers Quotes(s): "Whoa, I broke it! Sorry about that!" "Wait, what?" Victory: "This is all part of my master plan. MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Just kidding!" "Nice!" "That was for my friends." "Are you okay?" "Looks like we're fine." "Why do they insist on committing evil deeds?" Judgement: "O goddess, cast your purifying light upon the wicked... Behold the light of Heaven! Judgement!" Holy Song: "May the grace of the divine assist us in our holy quest to aid the righteous and smite the evil. Amen. Holy Song!" First Aid: "Healing power come to us... First Aid!" Nurse: "I get by with a little help from my friends. Nurse!" Healing Circle: "Please step into the fancy healing circle. Healing Circle!" Blessing: "Divine power, heal the ailments of the good... Blessing!" Barrier: "Bring forth the shield of the Goddess! Barrier!" Recover: "Here you go. Recover!" Limited: "Behold a fraction of the light of heaven! Limited!" Unlimited: "Light of heaven, smite the wicked with your power! Unlimited!" Other Notes: He does the famous Brunel hand motions sometimes, but with a bit less waving around. Smaller motions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Username: Vampiric_Mage Character's Name: Kari Blackwell Gender: Female Age: 19 Race: Human Appearance: Status: Swordsman (Novice) Ancestory/family: Kari's father was a swordsman. He wasn't especially known or anything, but he did have some skill and fought in a few wars. It took some time to convince him, but eventually she learned some of his techniques. She also learned how to cook a bit from her mom. Occupation: Delivery, if a person in town needs letters or packages sent to someone in another town, she puts it in her bag and travels to deliver it. Homeland: Luin/Sylvarant Languge usage: Mild cursings when excited or upset, but nothing too vulgar. Mostly the word 'damn' and 'dammit' are thrown around. Personality: Talks somewhat formally at first, but becomes more casual over time once she gets to know people. Mostly goes with the plans of others and rarely disagrees, unless finding some flaw in the plan, then she might speak up. When in battle, she'll jump in, slashing away. Though this is good for giving magic casters time to cast spells, it also causes her to receive damage quite easily due to the fact she never uses a shield. Skills/Magic: Due to being a novice, she can only use base artes at the start. Demon Fang, Tiger Blade, Sword Rain and Tempest. She rarely uses Demon Fang unless her stamina has dropped to a very low level. Her favorite is Tempest, even though she messes up on it at times by missing the enemy. Her best bet is to use Tiger Blade though since she's able to hit the enemy with more accuracy and deal more damage. Hobbies: Enjoys cooking for the most part, likes to fish when given the opportunity along with swimming and enjoys training to improve her artes and techniques. Talents: I think pretty much her hobbies are her talents, but I guess her cooking and swordsmanship are what she's good at. She also is fairly good at hunting, she just doesn't enjoy it since she finds it easier to buy the food in towns. Favorite Food: Any dish that includes: fish, beef and tomatoes. Least Favorite Food: Any dish that includes: lettuce and ham Pet Peeves: Not having enough supplies while traveling (mainly cooking ingredients), ungrateful clients (whether they're the giver or receiver for delivery), going to towns in colder climate and when something breaks (fishing rod or sword). Bio: Has lived with her parents in Luin and goes back when she needs a break from work. For the most part though she's out on the job. As was said before, her dad taught her swordsmanship and her mom taught her how to cook basic things. Anything else she picked up from residents in towns she's visited. Fighting Style: Swordsman, is an offensive attacker and rarely to none uses any defense. Weapon(s): A broadsword she keeps strapped to her back. Her father bought it for her as a gift before she started the job. Quotes(s): "This battle is over, lets keep going." "Why do you continue to insist on provoking us?" "*Yawns* That was rather dull." "Damn...I took more damage than I would've liked." "Father...I promise I won't disappoint you." Other Notes: If someone would like, they can create a character that could be a sort of tutor/teacher/mentor for Kari. Either gender is fine, just as long as they're at a higher level and are either a swordsman or magical knight. Fighter could also work, but take into account that she only is able to use swords. Also with a magical knight, she will be unable to use any spells, so trying to teach her base level healing artes or offensive/defensive magic is pretty much pointless ------------------------------------------------------------- Username: Pajamas Sway Character's Name: Teepo Gender: Female Age: Almost 19 Race: Beast- Class Monster Appearance: Status: Beast Ancestory/family: Akin to Wolves and Night Raids Occupation: Monster Homeland: Iselia Forest Languge usage: Extremely poor language. Uses body language. Personality: Expressive, easy to entertain and encourage, childish and frank, but mostly animal-like in nature. Skills/Magic://Basic// Demon Fang, Double Claw, Tail Pound //Healing// Lick (Like first aid) //Mystic// Demon Maw, a rapid succession of Fierce Demon Fangs. Hobbies: Playing and eating mostly. Naps, and exploration. Talents: For a monster, Teepo is a genius, and is almost as intelligent as a human pre-teen. Favorite Food: Beef Stew Least Favorite Food: Cake Pet Peeves: Being disciplined. Bio: Teepo is a breed of monster that is exceedingly rare. A new development of a sub-class of Wolves, Teepo is the first Beast Monster that appears mostly human, like the Plant-class Mandragora's. A wild child, whom mostly raised herself in the wild, Teepo is feral and untrained, like almost all monsters. She was intelligent enough to figure out how to keep warm, by dressing herself in discarded clothing from an abandoned shack in the Iselia woods. She constantly roams between Aselia and Triet, and will sometimes attempt to explore near the mana tower. Fighting Style: Tooth and nail. Like a monster, Teepo has little strategy. Weapon(s): Discarded things she can pick up to use, like rocks and brokens swords. Mostly, Teepo fights with her claws. Quotes(s): "Tee~" "Poe!" "Aaahn!" "Nee!!" "Uhh.." "Nye!" Other Notes: Teepo named herself. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Username:Fancy Random FreakCharacter's Name: KaiGender: MaleAge: 19Race: Three-quarters elfAppearance: Status: NecromancerAncestory/family: Half-elf has a Romeo and Juliet romance with an elf, thereby rendering a 3/4 elf.Occupation: MercenaryHomeland: PalmacostaLanguge usage: Strange. Read below to understand. Personality 1: Practical, blunt, but uses slightly advanced terms. Personality 2: SCIENTIFIC OVERLOAD.Personality: Has a split personality disorder (ie. Ruin Mania, but with intricate ceremonial swords, don't ask) One personality is blunt and hotheaded, yet not extremely so. He says what he means. The other one is obsessive-compulsive, hyperactive, and slightly annoying.Skills/Magic: (Ooh! I'm going to have a field day with this one!)
PHYSICAL ARTES:
Fist Rain: Sword Rain Alpha with his knuckle weapons. Charge: Build up energy in the fist and release it in a giant punch. Backspike: When using spike gloves, walk up to an unsuspecting enemy and (painfully) backhand them across the face. Flurry: Fist Rain, but much faster. The Classic: Left hook, uppercut, gut punch, pain.
SPELLS
Shadow Splash: A dark element Splash. Envelope: Temporarily envelope the opponent in dark clouds. Negative Gate: The usual. Negative Gate Alpha: (Yes I dare to.) A falling meteor version of Negative Gate. Negative Gate Beta: (Why? Cause I can.) A Negative Gate comes out of the ground. Black Needle: A giant Prism-Sword-esque needle made of shadows comes from the sky. Black Hole: Inflicts Light and Darkness damage. Title says all. Blazing Thunder: A fiery bolt of lighning. Tainted Judgment: A, guess what, shadow Judgment. Unsuspecting Light: A light element attack? Coming directly after Envelope? FROM A NECROMANCER? Madness.
Mystic Arte: Void: A large void sucks the enemy into another dimension, and deposits their battered body a few minutes later.
HIDDEN MYSTIC ARTE: I $@ED UP SO BADLY: A large void appears, but instead of sucking the enemy in, it deposits a large multitude of smiling pink cuddly teddy bears who proceed to hug the enemy to oblivion. They then heal the party and leave. Intended for comic relief.Hobbies: Drawing.Talents: Drawing and doing math problems in his head.Favorite Food: Curry.Least Favorite Food: Eggplants.Pet Peeves: People making bad remarks about ceremonial swords, comments about his truly terrible cooking, and monsters that spam light spells.Bio: He was born and raised in a relatively dysfunctional family of a half-elf and an elf. He did get accepted into the Palmacosta Academy and pursue multiple courses on necromantic and magic history. His magical prowess was proven when he accidentally destroyed his homework using a Shadow Splash. After two years, while studying a small tome on dark spells, he accidentally triggered a spell that teleported his entire house into Niflheim. He burned the book, unenrolled from the Academy, and began work as a mercenary. He was on the Chosen's team.Fighting Style: Punches, few kicks, and many holds and throws.Weapon(s): Steel knuckles, spiked knuckles, and a heavy modified ceremonial sword that he calls Leonardo.Quotes(s): Personality 1: Eh, what do we have to lose? Personality 2: No! Don't touch the sword! It's a little bit tilted! If you touched it, it could fall and a priceless part of history could be ruined! Oh, look at the engravings...Other Notes: Raine. Jade from Tales of the Abyss. Kratos. I can.---------------------------------------------------------------- Username: Hallie Neko-chan Character's Name: Mina Melodia Lune Gender: Female Age: 17 Race: Half-elf Appearance: Status: Healer/Mage, long range archer Ancestory/family: Mina’s mother is a human woman. Her mother is the only daughter to a duke in Tethe’alla’s Royal Court. Little is known about her father except for the fact that he is a full-blooded elf from Heimdall. Occupation:Scolar, Physician's Apprentice Homeland: Tethe’alla Language usage: Uses proper grammar in many different dialects, having studied languages. Does not curse and finds vulgarity unbecoming of a civilized being. Personality: A person’s first impression of Mina would be that she may seem to be overconfident, overbearing, arrogant, and rather judgmental. However, this is mainly a front, meant to cover a frightened, insecure girl. A girl who can’t understand why there needs to be gaps in society, nor why the half-elves need to be hated so. In truth, she is a sweet, kind girl though not many can look past her harsh front. She is also very serious and seldom smiles, though that could also be due to her upbringing and experiences as well. Skills/Magic: Skilled archer, quick to move in battle and has a natural affinity with Holy Element and healing type magic, however her most powerful offensive spell is the non-elemental Meteor Storm. Hobbies: Studying, Singing Talents: Cooking Favorite Food: Raspberries, Chocolate Least Favorite Food: Mushrooms Pet Peeves: Vulgarity and unnecessary brute violence. Bio: Mina’s mother and father met and fell in love. But since he was an elf and she a human noble, it was forbidden for them to marry. Once the other elves discovered his hidden love, Mina’s father was taken back to Heimdall and forbidden to have contact with the girl ever again. When Mina was born, no one had suspected a thing, even though her mother wasn’t married, and so Mina grew up, the only heir to their fortunes. That was, until one day the Church went through, searching for and persecuting half-elves. Her mother, knowing the fate of any half-elves caught, took her 15 year-old daughter, attempting to flee into the Otherworldly Gate, a place said to send them to the mystic Sylvarant. It had worked, and Mina had managed to escape into Sylvarant with her mother. However, the conditions of Sylvarant proved to be too harsh for the human woman's health, and Mina’s mother passed away after battling a serious illness. Mina first traveled the land searching for a way to bring her mother back to life, but now has accepted that her mother is gone forever, and wishes to become a physician who can save lives. Fighting Style: Mage, archery Weapon(s): Short bow and arrows. Quotes(s): "Every single life is precious, because once it has been extinguished, it can never be brought back." Other Notes: NA

Kari traveled along the dirt road leading from Triet to Iselia. Glad to get away from the treacherously hot desert area, she now was able to enjoy the beautiful green scenery. A sigh of relief as a gust of wind blew over her body.
Her current job was to take a letter to the shopkeeper in Iselia. Apparently, supplies had run low in Triet's shops and they needed someone to deliver an order for more supplies. Seeing as how Iselia tended to be fairly bountiful, the merchants were hopeful that they would be willing to trade, at least until they could get more items in stock from their usual suppliers.
Watching the dirt road for some time, she looked up to see that she still had a ways to go considering the buildings had not appeared within eye sight yet. A groan emitted from her lips.
"Hope it doesn't take much longer. I wanna get there before nightfall at least."
Continuing her trek along the road, she would shift her head both ways to make sure no enemies came without notice. The last thing Kari wanted was to be hit with a surprise attack. And it wasn't just the creatures of this world that travelers had to be wary of, the Desians and thieves were also quite the hassle.

(All right, time to get this RP on its feet! Long post, I know.) Kevin Izabran- Fallen Chosen Kevin walked down a path leading across a large field. He had been walking for days, with no human contact except some thieves, which he was forced to subdue. Not kill, of course. He disliked killing people unnecessarily. Sadly, on his journey, he had been forced to. He was the Chosen One of this age, so Desians often targeted him. Luckily, with some help from his friends, he had been able to overcome them. They even helped him endure the ordeals of losing his voice and some senses. His friends... Less than two weeks ago, his friends had been lost in a human ranch explosion. Kevin never even saw the mysterious mercenary again... He thought that that man would last forever. He was middle aged, but seemed a lot older, as if he had survived everything. But this flashback digresses. Kevin and co. were fighting a Desian boss in a base, near a massive mana reactor. He was about to be hit by a deadly attack from the Desian ranch leader, but fell over while trying to dodge and fell into the base's reactor. Somehow, his hammer had fallen into a certain crevice and jammed up the reactor, causing a massive explosion. In the final moments before this happened, he saw his friends and the boss doing their final actions. The boss mostly shouted curses. He was a half-elf, he knew what was happening. The knight, his childhood friend Trenton, was charging at the distracted boss. Normally, this was considered dishonorable, but this was serious business. The elf sorcerer/necromancer, Kai, seemed to know what was going on and tried to back off, to no avail. The half-elven witch, Oretha, would normally have noticed the unusual mana patterns, but was busy fending off an attack by the enraged boss. The human mercenary (He had never said his name and changed the subject if asked. For some reason he could cast spells, but he never mentioned how.) seemed irritated yet calm, and held his sword, business end down, in front of him, with his hand behind it. Kevin saw something green begin to form around him before everything exploded. He felt nothing, but it was still terrifying. Kevin awoke in the ruins of the ranch, miraculously alive. He hoped that the prisoners had escaped. He couldn't move very well, as he was badly burned. A few clumsy artes fixed most of that. As he got up and looked at the ruins, he noticed something odd... His Cruxis Crystal had a weird new Key Crest on it. His old one was gone, but it didn't matter. This one was cooler! But why was it there? "Guys? Trenton? Kai? Oretha? Mysterious mercenary man? Is anyone here?" No one answered. Upon further invesigation of the ruins, Kevin found ill tidings... Trenton's broadblade was on the ground next to a pile of ashes, barely recognizable as a sword anymore. Kevin prayed that those ashes weren't what he thought they were. In the days that followed, Kevin pressed on and made it to the Tower of Salvation and prayed there. The angel that had appeared to him before never came. No angel came. No one else came, either. Maybe he had done something wrong and they hadn't known of his entrance? He exited the tower and messed around with the oracle stone outside, but before he walked in again he heard noise behind him. Just in time, he turned and fell over, miraculously avoiding the sudden Desian crossbow bolt. "What? Aw man!" He ran and hid behind a large rock, and began to pray to Martel. Just as a Desian soldier charged around the corner to attack him, Kevin finished the incantation, unleashing a pillar of light on the soldier. "Limited!" Though his magic wasn't as powerful as Kai's or Oretha's, he could still get by. Sure enough, the soldier was disintegrated by the beam of holy light. Kevin used his angel wings to fly to the top of the rock, then blasted holy beams of light from his hands at the archer, then jumped down and pummeled the last soldier. He was sad that he had to fight them, but he did what he must. That done, he checked the remains for Gald and such. There was a little, maybe enough for a night's stay at an inn. After looting them, he began thinking again... Maybe I missed something near the beginning? Mom always said to retrace my steps if I lose something. Maybe that will work here! Clearly, he hadn't finished his quest. He had broken all the seals but that of the Tower, so what could he have missed? He decided to check at the very beginning: Iselia, the village of oracles.

The sky was a sad grey color. Wind howeled. Softly, thunder began to rumble. It could not be more obvious that a storm was coming, but Harmonious sat underneath a wise willow as she sang a soft tune to herself. She was extremely calm as she waited for the soft storm to rage, forcing her to seek shelter. Harmonious did not like storms. They did not scare her, but she hated the crashing thunder, because it was too loud. The rain, however, made her feel at peace. The thunder over powered the rain in storms, so Harmonious never stayed out too long during one.
The thunder's whisper became a roar and the wind began to scream. Harmonious knew it was time to go to the Inn. She was at Iselia for the time being, but she longed to go to Palma Coasta. She had been there before and of all the places she had traveled to, she felt most at home there. The people weren't all that different from the ones in other places, but the ocean was so beautiful and it sound so lovely at night. Harmonious could not wait to go back there.
As Harmonious sat in the lobby, her mind began to wander. She longed to be able to sing for people as her occupation. However, there were much more important things to worry about. Where was her sister? Hopefully no harm had come to her in her dissapearence. Harmonious could not believe that anyone would hurt her sister, so she did not believe any harm had come to her. Hopefully her captor was good enough not to harm her in any way other than the kidnapping. He could not do that to her.
(More has happened since this, but I don't have time to edit much right now, so as soon as I get back on, I will be sure to catch the synopsis up with the rest of the RP and continue rping myself.)

(GRAAAH, I had this all written out, but lost it... The rewrite will be shorter and not as good, I'm afraid.) Kevin Izabran- Fallen Chosen After a long flight, Kevin finally arrived in Iselia. Normally, he would immediately visit his friends and family, but he was very tired after his trek, and took the path of least resistance to the closest place to rest- The inn. Besides, it seemed to be getting late. Perhaps it was just the storm, but in either case he didn't want to bother anyone. He shook off his wet hair under the canopy above the door, then entered the inn. It wasn't very crowded- He only saw the innkeeper and a girl who looked around his age. He approached the innkeeper. "Hi! I'm just wondering if I could sleep here tonight. I insist on paying this time, though. You have to make a living somehow!~" The innkeeper seemed shocked by something, but said nothing. He just accepted the money and walked away to his section of the inn. Kevin tilted his head and pondered for a second. I wonder why he's so quiet? He looks like he has seen a ghost. Has he seen one? That would be kind of scary... As he walked to his bed to rest, he remembered that he hadn't said hello to the girl yet. Ignoring her wouldn't be very polite, and she looked like a nice person to him. "Hi! Do you know what time it is? I've been traveling for a while, so I've lost track."

(Oh! I'm so sorry! That's never very fun. My post will be much shorter, so don't feel bad about post length. I don't really care how short or long they are as long as they make sense and so on. You did good. ^_^)
"Uh... Um... I'm very sorry, but I do not..." Harmonious stumbled with her words. She was not very good at talking to people she did not know. "...But if I were to guese... I think it would be around... 6:00pm..." Harmonious wasn't good at keeping time. She didn't really have any need to other than for eating and sleeping, but she only ate when she got hungry and slept when she got tired. Otherwise, she was searching for her sister unless cercumstances prevented her from doing so. The storm prevented her from searching currently. Although she loved summer, sometimes the storms could be quite harsh.

(NOTES FROM EVIL: 1. Kevin is believed to be dead by pretty much everyone. 2. Colette, do you think you can change his blessing arte entry to Martel's Blessing? I just realized that plain old blessing doesn't sound very good for a non-novice arte... 3. Since no one has named the innkeeper yet, I propose giving him a random name so we won't have to say "you" or "mister" all the time. I was thinking this because, you know, Kevin probably knows most of the town...) Kevin Izabran- Fallen Chosen "It's nice talking to somebody who doesn't know who I am!~ I've never really had a chance to introduce myself to anyone. I'm Kevin. Anyway, I would normally be more polite, but I just came back from a really long trip, so... I guess, good night in advance!" With a small wave, Kevin went over to his bed and lay down on his side under the blankets, facing the wall. She seems like a nice person. I wonder if she moved here while I was gone? I don't know. His thoughts strayed back to the innkeeper's reaction at seeing him. Maybe he's just feeling jumpy today. I hope he hasn't seen a ghost. They're scary. And they wave hammers around all the time... I wonder why he would react like he saw a ghost. Did someone die? I hope not... Banishing such spooky thoughts from his mind, he pulled the blankets over his head. The last thing he did before falling asleep was summon a small ball of light in his hand. Just in case.

(Sure! ^_^ I'll take care of that right away! And you can give him a name. My character doesn't know him, so she'll just refer to him with pronouns for the time being.)
Thousands of questions popped into Harmoniouses head. Was he a celbrity or had he been raised in this village and never left? If he was raised in this village, why was he at the inn? If he was a celebrity, why would he come to a small town like Iselia? Was he born here? The inn keeper was scared of him. Was he a criminal? He must have had a long journey if he was going to go to bed at 6:00! Most people went to bed around 8:00 or even later. Harmonious wondered if the evedently well-known person was okay. "Goodnight," she told him and silently waited in the lobby for either the storm to cease or to get tired and go to sleep. She assumed the later would be the most likely outcome of the two. With a sigh, Harmonious took out a book and began to read.

The nine bulging tails that made up over half the girls figure, had wandered out of the forest, even meandering down the side of the wall that kept Iselia isolated from outside monsters. The monster was prowling for food in this case, starved enough to risk approaching a human town. There was a watchtower, though Teepo was along the wall and out of view mostly, unless someone noticed the movement. "Nye." The girl said, the only smells of food coming from behind the doors, and into the gate that led into town. Teepo was afraid to go in there, leaving the forest dweller to merely circle around the outskirts, waiting for an opportunity or some food. A smaller monster, like the bunny monsters she often hunted, would be good around now. Her stomach growled, threatening to give away her presence to the guard.

(Rei, do you draw your characters yourself? 'Cause that's a pretty good picture. NO, not in that way, you perverts!) (Don't worry, Kevin's no prophet.) Kevin Izabran- Fallen Chosen Kevin didn't do much of anything, seeing as he was asleep. Suddenly, his peaceful dreams were interrupted by strange, confusing ones. A flurry of images rushed through his mind. Floyd the inkeeper (OOC: For that was his name. Thank you, random name generator.) walking out the inn door and talking to someone solemnly. A human ranch exploding, revealing a lone man standing by a hole in the remnants of the floor, a green barrier around him dissipating as he returned to a normal standing position. A really nice boat peacefully floating over a river while someone endlessly stabbed someone else. The dream ended when, during a first person view of a flight over the ocean, something began to rise out of the water. At that, Kevin awoke. He wondered if the dream meant anything. No, probably not. I'm not a prophet or anything. That would be kind of cool, but I'd also be sad. What if I foresaw bad news? I think it's nice to be free of that. He was feeling a bit stiff, so he stretched out a bit. As he raised his arms, his hand caught on part of a nearby lamp, knocking it over. As he hurriedly moved his hand to catch it, he accidentally tumbled onto the floor. Luckily, the rolling motion and blankets cushioned his fall. While down there, he saw underneath the bed a piece of paper. Wiping the crumbs and dust off it, he noticed text. It appeared to be some kind of Church newsletter. HOPE IS NOT LOST Unfortunately for all of us, the church has received grim news. While on her way back from a trip to Asgard, a Luin woman became lost after being fleeing from thieves. She eventually came across the shattered remnants of a Desian human ranch that had been terrorizing the area. Too afraid to enter the ruins herself, she hired a team from the local base of the Katz guild to go explore it. It seems that a magitechnology reactor had exploded, annihilating everything inside and within the general area. Inside the remnants of the reactor, the brave Katz explorers found blood, torn blond hair, and an abandoned Key Crest. Also found directly outside were other gory remains. Unfortunately, the bodies' equipment and features match those of the group of the Chosen of Regeneration. In addition, said Chosen is a blonde and wore a Key Crest on his Cruxis Crystal. I'm afraid that I must be the one to write and inform you of the bad news: The Chosen Kevin Izabran is no more. He shall be missed. Hope for the current population of the world is not lost, however. A member of the Izabran family has received an oracle. The regeneration process may be attempted once more! The world shall be saved, praise Martel! Abraham Izabran shall now be our savior, and live on in the memory of his brother. -B. PiousI don't really like the writing style of that article. It's kind of depressing. Kevin got up, paper in hand to throw out. Then he jumped, and returned his attention to the paper. "What? I died? No, I'm still alive! I have to let everyone know! They shouldn't have to be sad!" He got up, invigorated by adrenaline, and quickly ran out the door, with a short pause to address Floyd and the girl in the lobby. "Don't worry! I'm not actually dead!" With a wave, Kevin opened the door and ran through the storm to his home.

After several hours of walking through the terrain, Kari was grateful that she hadn't come across too many enemies. Especially considering her stamina was dropping considerably.
The sky had turned to night and she had almost considered just camping out for the night in the woods, but upon seeing the village of Iselia a little ways ahead her, she decided to gather the rest of her energy and get there so that she could rest safely within the walls of the village.
After all, if there was one thing her father had taught her was that when traveling, you should never sleep in the forests alone. You never knew what could attack you in your unconscious state.
And then a noise came. The rustling of what sounded like another person or possibly a monster wandering somewhere close by as she neared the village. Narrowing her eyes, Kari unsheathed her sword and brought it out in front of her to ready herself.
Cautiously she followed the noise. Praying to Martel that if this was a dangerous opponent, she'd have the upper hand and be able to make the first strike.
It was then that she saw it. And she had to do a retake as she gasped at its form. For the most part it seemed human. A young girl in fact. But what was really odd was that this girl had nine tails swishing around, not to mention the ears...what in the world was this thing?
Daring to take a few steps closer, she decided to try and approach it in a way to show she meant no harm to the creature, lowering her weapon by a bit, she decide to try talking to it, "E-Excuse me? Are you lost?" Taking a few more steps forward, she gained up her courage and continued to ask it yet another question, "Do you need help?"
At least if it came down to it and the strange person or creature tried to attack, she could alert the guards in front of the entrance to the village. If anything, they should know how to deal with her, hopefully...

Kevin Izabran- Fallen Chosen While on the way to his old home, Kevin started thinking once more. Who was that guy in the ruins in his dream? Not that it was that important, it could just be a person generated by his dream. Still, he looked familiar. He could have sworn he had heard something when he was waking up from the incident, but later assumed that it was just his imagination, or even some shifting rocks. Perhaps his subconscious was trying to tell him something? Finally, he arrived at his house. Even though he was in a bit of a hurry (he didn't want people to worry any longer than they have to), he still stopped to knock. His 18-year old brother, Stephen "Steve" Izabran, answered the door, his usual neutral expression, dark clothing, and the perpetual purple bags under his eyes were all in place, as usual. He spoke in his usual low drawl. "Oh, hey. It's that other guy.""Steve, how's it going? I'm not really dead!" Going in for a hug, then remembering that Steve likes to be "manly," awkwardly tried to twist it into a handshake. For the second time that day, his try at acrobatics ended up in him falling over... Resulting in a black boot just missing his face. "Whoa, Steve! You almost hit me! Careful, kicks hurt people.""That's the point. No Desian spies or assassins allowed."Kevin got to his feet, out of range of the foot. But Steve slowly followed him. They ended up slowly walking in circles. "I'm not a Desian spy, I'm your brother! That's pretty much the opposite!""Actually, you're not my brother.""Oh no, not more family drama!""No, as in you're an imposter. So get out.""Steve, I'm not an imposter! I'm Kevin! Seriously! I survived that explosion!""No one can survive such an explosion. There was nowhere to take cover, at least nowhere that could survive the blast."At this point, noticing the open door, as well as the brothers walking in circles, three other people emerged from the building. One was some familiar-looking guy with a thin figure and pointy ears, an elf. The other was Kevin's mother, who Steve took after, and his dad, who was a bit more like Kevin. "Hello! Don't worry, I'm actually alive!""...Impossible. Reactor exploded, no escape." His mother Val, short and stocky like a dwarf and with all the same qualities as Steve, shook her head and crossed her arms, then went back into the house. "Kevin! Is that really you? I heard that you were blown to bits by an explosion!" His dad, Frank Izabran*, was the friendly one, and looked largely like a taller Kevin. He got between the brothers and gave Kevin a hug. "That is not, in fact, Kevin, my dimwitted father.""Sure it is. He looks and sounds the same, behaves the same way... Plus, it just feels like he's him, you know? Here, I'll check. What secret promise did you make to me last year? That REALLY SECRET one."Kevin whispered the answer. "If I or someone I know have children or get a pet, I shall name one of them Frank. You are a very nice person, and deserve to have your name live forever, so why not?" He had promised this when Frank was depressed one day, and it was kept a secret so that Val wouldn't think that Frank was some sort of narcissist. She often jumps to wrong conclusions like that. "Aha! See, I told you it was him! Looks like you're off the hook, Steve! He can be chosen again now!" Frank seemed very happy about this. Kevin noticed that Steve had a Cruxis Crystal as well, exactly the same in appearance, at least to the untrained eye. Perhaps a new one? The elf walked between the brothers, next to Frank, and spoke up. "Ahem. Kevin, do you remember me?"Kevin thought for a moment, then jumped as he remembered. He was an old family friend. "Oh, it's you, Draco! I'm happy to see you again!" "That is odd, as your mana is slightly different than that of Kevin. Either you're not him, or you are and your mana signature was warped somehow. I can't be certain.""Are you messing with us again, Draco? It's annoying when you do that.""Frank, I am known for honesty and wisdom. I would not 'mess with you' about such an important matter. I suggest that both of you look deeper into this sit-" Suddenly, Steve barreled through both the elf and his father, knocking them aside. Draco was busy monologuing, and Frank was busy snickering at Draco calling himself wise, so they offered little resistance. "That's enough evidence. Goodbye." With that, Steve used his momentum to perform a mighty Exsphere-powered kick, sending Kevin flying through the street toward the south exit of the town, then running behind him. Since Steve was clearly homicidal for some reason, Kevin ran for the exit and the guards. The chase caused a massive amount of noise, which could probably be heard throughout the small town. Frank tried to get up and help his younger son, but Val stepped on his shirt and pinned him down. "He runs, so he is guilty," she said, and dragged Frank back into the house. "Let the imposter go.The guards, relieved to see their old Chosen, let him pass, then kept Steve occupied with the blunt end of their spears. Grabbing at the ground in vain, Frank called out to Kevin one more time before being dragged back into his house. "I'll catch up with you later! Just run from your homicidal maniac brother!""I AM NOT A HOMICIDAL MANIAC. HE is."Ignorant of the chatter after the word "later," Kevin ran on the path out of the village, thankful for the help of the guards (who were now shouting for backup in restraining Steve). He really wished he had taken the time to get to know the guards before his journey of regeneration. Suddenly, he saw two girls near the path. One was in a bluish suit and holding a sword, the other had tails for some reason. It was kind of strange and cute at the same time, he thought. He approached them, hoping to convince them not to tell Steve about where he went (assuming he got past the guards). He flew up into a tree beside them. "Hi, I'm Kevin. If you happen to see my maniacal brother Steve, don't tell him I came by, please. He's gone crazy for some reason. He's really scary..."*You read that right! FRANK!!! It'll be a traditional name for Izabran descendants, including he who you can probably guess. **Draco could be a mentor for Kari if you wish, Vampiric. Just have him follow the party. Of course, he is a magic knight. Or perhaps Mr. Guardian (for the merc was indeed using that arte) could come along. Just putting out ideas. Wow, another wall of text! And to think I can't write essays...

Teepo was nearing the entrance, waiting for a time when she could sneak around and find some food. Scavenging was tough, especially when it came to invading a humans territory to get to it. The monster stopped dead at the voice, watching the girl talk with a sense of shock and caution. "Arrr.." She growled, backing up. As a monster, her first instinct was to rush the girl to defend herself, but Teepo was just smart enough to think twice on it, especially since the girl had a blade, which gave her a big advantage. Teepo backed up a few steps, and froze again at approaching voices. A man, casually running up to talk to them, as if everything was okay. Did they think Teepo was a human? The monster scratched her head. They had not attacked her yet. "Aii." She said in a small voice, still stepping back to distance herself from them. Humans always killed monsters, even hunted them sometimes. It was normal to expect as much, or to think about a responding attack. "Tee.." She said lowly, still baring her teeth at them.
