Do you think brands are a huge part of the game? Or just a small feature provided as side entertainment? Brands are on clothes and pins... they give stat bonuses and organize pins into different groups. They're also the name of several stores in Shibuya. And et cetera. You know if you've played.
For me, I think brands are important because, besides helping in fighting, brands give different views on the world. I'd also say that my favorite brand is either Jupiter of the Monkey or Lapin Angelique. J of M for its pins, and Lapin Angelique for its threads.

Honestly I don't care about brands very much in-game. Sure, it's nice to see which pins will have its attack increased or halved but either than that I don't see the use. It's fun though. Each brand represents a Zodiac animal, they have their set of clothes and pins. It's kinda confusing for the in-game map since you only see the colors of the most favored brand for that zone and not really stats on where you are etc. I agree with you on your favorites brands ^^ J of M have really nice pins although I love the range of Natural Puppy's. The shop of Lapin Angelique in A-East is the best =P

I despise Natural Puppy, and Lapin Angelique, but I hate D+B the most. I usually look for high attack power, and attacks that often slug enemies back. I have mixed feelings though so there are pins in every brand except Natural Puppy and D+B and Lapin Angelique that I like so far. The Unbranded are one of my favorites because Angel and Reaper pins are usually involved. I like many of the pins aside from those three brands because with the pins I have, I can't seem to pack the power with them that I can with most others. I do like the occasional Telekinesis in D+B but that is it.

Linkmm, I think it's more of what pins you like as opposed to the strength.
Anyways, I really like the Jupiter of the Monkey pins although I barely use them as they are very Japanese oriented and accurate at that. Topping my list would be Pegaso as I just favor the lightning based pins in the case of their art as well as their efficiency.

Stylus based, I love everything that has do to with slashing (so Jupiter of the Monkey, Natural Puppy, Tigre Punks.) I hate pressing or holding for a long time. I need instant results. Dragging Neku around has some advantages (especially since it attacks and practically teleports him away) but yeah. Rapidly tapping the screen while holding the DS ? Since it's all about boulders or flinging on-screen items around are also the least of all. Since Unbranded are kind of a mix of everything (based on the Noise you got it from) they do have very cool art (got a real life Rhyme pin. xD) but it's kinda hard to choose when you can only have one Angel and Reaper pin at the same time.
